It was exactly what I needed to enjoy my weekend in Bloomington. The apartment is right off the B-Line trail. Very easy for me to walk everywhere I wanted to go.
The apartment is tidy and well equipped with AC a true kitchen, not some bogus mini fridge and microwave called a kitchen. We found the unit clean and ready for our stay but we left an hour after check in due to the smell. I should’ve know better, my bad, a basement apartment will probably smell like a basement, and it does. It smells an old moldy basement.

Guest arrived during a rain storm. We have a dehumidifier and the AC. We went to check unit, cleaners and ourselves don't smell mold. Perhaps it was from the rain. The building is from 1875.
Very convenient location to downtown and great communication with owners. Stairs are steep and the ceiling is low but I knew that going in from the description and reviews. Not an issue. You can easily hear the people above you when they talk but never found it distracting or an annoyance. I would definitely recommend the place.

Thank you! If you're in the area again, send us a message for a discount.
This is a basement unit in a larger house. It is a very short walk to the shops and restaurants in the greater Kirkwood vicinity and the neighborhood seems safe. The unit itself is very modest, but it was perfect for me visiting my kids at IU and not spending a ton of time in the room. For a small space, the kitchen is large if that's a consideration. You are below ground so it's dark and the steps down to the unit are pretty steep. The ceiling are very low. When it's just me swinging out to IU for a quick visit, this is a perfect little spot.

Thank you! Msg us for a discount on a future stay. We have removed the ducting so the ceiling is better now.
