2 stars literally only for the host/staff being nice. no check in instructions were sent to me making getting to the location a stressful introduction to my vacation. The amenities were short lived in this cabin as hot water ran out very very quickly which is not ideal when is below 40 outside. Light switches didn’t and for some reason when I started the tub up, a stink came out of the water that filled the cabin. Cleaning fee is 70 but you’re required to follow their list of instructions for cleaning on top of that fee or you’ll get charged more. I don’t mind picking up after myself, but if you’re going to make a list that inlcludes take out the trash to the dumpster and start dishwasher, perhaps ensure there is a dumpster and dishwasher pods available.

Bed Bugs

Upon arriving we got unpacked and relaxed. Upon going to the loft and preparing to enjoy the hot tub outside. As i was laying on the bed, i felt something crawling on me. Upon further inspection the bed had at least 30- 40 dead black ants! I then lifted the sheets. To my surprise, the mattress was coverd in Bed bugs! We then packed our things and we were forced to stay in the motel associated with the property!!! I feel as though we are owed $ for ruining our vacation....

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE

When we first got to the cabin, it hadn’t even been cleaned even though check in was at 2 and we got there at 3:45 PM. When we called Bavarian Brook Rentals, the lady was incredibly rude to us more than once and even stopped answering our calls and the cleaning lady’s calls who came to help. However, I cannot say enough good things about the cleaning lady, Jennifer. She was the only person who was kind and helped us. The hot tub had to be drained so we didn’t get to use it for the first 2 days and every time it rained, the drains had a rotting egg smell to come from them. The water was spitting and sputtering out the faucets too. My husband and I also cooked while we were there and there are no knives other than butter knives in a “fully stocked kitchen”. That’s just half, overall, it was a horrible experience from the beginning and the office offered nothing to make it right with us.

no curtains or blinds on the windows, there is no lights to see your way up & down the steps at night ,had problems with air in the water it starts out murky then clears, it doesn't keep water pressure, hot tub leaks , plug outlets fall out when you plug something in
