Silverwoods Chalet is one of the higher end luxury chalets on Silver Star Mountain and it is everything you would hope for in a Canadian ski chalet. It is very private, nestled in a beautiful pine forest. Silverwoods is located on The Knoll, close to the top of the new Silver Woods High Speed Quad chairlift and only a short and beautiful walk to the village. Our vacation home has one of the best ski-in/ski-out access points on the mountain - you can ski right out of the back door onto Aberdeen Skiway, a beautiful and gentle run that gives you access to two chairlifts and the rest of the mountain.

Silverwoods Chalet is beautifully decorated and sleeps up to 8 people. There are two large master bedrooms, both with en-suite (rain shower, and spa tub overlooking the Bugaboo Mountains), a bedroom that can sleep up to 3 people (one double bed and one twin), a den with a pull-out sofa bed. All mattresses are premium quality and all linens are provided.

Silverwoods Chalet has a designer kitchen with beautiful marble countertops and bar, and is fully equipped with dishware, glassware, pots & pans, baking and cooking gear, and all the utensils and tools you will need. The cupboards are stocked with spices and basic provisions for your stay. The dining room is off of the living room in a circular windowed room with stunning views of the snow-covered trees and the Monashee Mountains. Silverwoods was designed for entertaining and the dining room is perfect for intimate dinners or dinners for up to 10 guests. The family room has a 46inch LCD TV, DVD and VCR players, and cable TV. The chalet is outfitted with WIFI internet.

A private hot tub lies in a stunning gazebo in the forest - a perfect place to rejuvenate after a day of skiing or to watch the snow fall with a glass of wine or mug of hot chocolate.

Silverwoods Chalet has it's own ski room equipped with a boot warmer/dryer and storage for all of your ski gear.

The snow at Silver Star Mountain is truly the best snow in British Columbia - it is renowned for its dry, feather light champagne powder. With over 115 marked ski runs, there is something for every level of skier on the mountain and the runs are stunning! It really is a magical place and it offers the ultimate Canadian winter experience. When the lifts close there are loads of winter activities for all ages - magical sleigh rides through pristine wilderness trails, ice skating on an outdoor natural pond, hours of fun at Tube Town, dinner and fondue tours either by snowshoe, sleigh ride or snow-cat, and exploring Silver Star back country by snowmobile, to name a few of the adventures awaiting you!

Great Place

The place was great large and clean and you can ski into the hill right out of the back yard, hot tub was picturesque. The owners were great and even gave us a little tour of the mountain.

Great Location, Even Better Accommodations

The home is much larger than we had expected, though we could not fit our oversized SUV in the garage. The homeowners have thought of everything - the kitchen is very well equipped for dining in each night and enjoying a hearty breakfast before hitting the slopes - which are right out the back-side of the home. They had such attention to detail and amenities - a coffee maker, coffee filters, coffee, and even a coffee bean grinder and expresso machine! They even have extra bird food for the bird feeders to attract the local bluejays. First class accommodations - we hope to return.

Perfect!

Words cannot do justice when attempting to accurately describe the beauty and magic of the Silver Star area. This home is set slope side among the towering pines with a magnificent view of some of the distant mountain peaks. Silverwoods Chalet provides every amenity one could want or need while away from home. We cooked all meals in and found the kitchen to be stocked for any gourmet experience one could dream up. The beds were very comfortable, the bathrooms supreme with beautiful tile and heated floors and the ski room (complete with boot dryer!) kept us organized for easy ski in and ski out. Katie was very accommodating and always available. Thank you so much, we hope to be back again!

Perfect ski vacation week

We spent a wonderful week at Silver Star both Nordic and alpine skiing (and of course skating and tubing too!). This was our first time to the area. The ski in/ski out is super easy for the house once we figured out the topography of the village, which keeps it interesting. And the shuttle was an easy alternative. The house is cozy and very comfortable even in very cold temperatures. The kitchen is by far the best outfitted I’ve ever rented. Great hot tub too. The boot/glove dryer has spoiled us for sure! We enjoyed meeting the caretakers and they had great insights to share on where to ski and were so friendly. The garage is quite limited- only a smaller vehicle will fit, so plan parking outside. Our Tacoma was at least 0.5 meter too long to go in. Thank you!

We could not have had a better experience. Ski run right outside the back door, hot tub with a great view, the deluxe boot dryer was sooo very much appreciated. And the garage to keep the skis hung up and sorted was great.

The accomodation was much larger than I expected. The rooms were spacious and the den area had doors so easily became a bedroom. There was lots of kitchen utensils so it made feeding a large group easy and efficient. The setting where you gazed out onto snow covered trees was lovely. Not to mention the ease of skiing in and out. The communication with both the owner and caretaker was excellent. Needless to say, I will be recommending this mountain retreat to friends. Regards

Loved our stay! A comfy, cozy, spacious house in a beautiful setting!

We loved the spacious, well equipt kitchen, the comfortable living area with the chairs to curl up in and read a book by the fireplace. Nice big round table for eating and playing games. Liked that the tv was in the den for the teens. We were delighted to see the Christmas tree, the festive decorations and all the touches and treats upon arrival....including maps, etc. Stunning view of the snow covered trees in the backyard, and enjoyed feeding the beautiful birds. The beds were super comfortable. Everything was clean/spotless. Lots of storage and the drying rack was a bonus. The location was perfect -access behind to get to the trails or a short walk or drive to the town. The hot tub is big and well maintained -access is down some stairs, but worth the trip after a day of skiing. The people who live below were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay thoroughly and would definitely come back!! Thank you!

Winter wonderland !

The location is very quiet and directly on the ski trails. The new (Déc 2021) SPA was very nice with a great location near the trees. We loved taking walks at night with the awesome Christmas ornaments. We slept like babies ... we loved the beds and beddings, the quietness and the very dark nights. Silver Star Piece of Heaven

The Silverwoods Chalet was PERFECT for us! Martin was so kind and helpful with information for us, and we really enjoyed the ski-in/out location and the large hot tub apres-ski. Beds were super comfortable, kitchen stocked with everything possible, and a relaxing, big living space with lovely views of the trees, sunrise, and visiting birds and chipmunks! Well-organized equipment room with heaters for gloves and boots, and a great recycling set up. Thanks very much to all for a special and memorable holiday!

We had yet another wonderful visit at this cabin. The location is an easy ski out, and a short hike to get back in. Cozy and nice but not fussy. Great caretakers who live downstairs.

This chalet is perfect. It is beautiful on the inside and the perfect cozy chalet tucked into a private forest. The hot tub is the best we've seen on the mountain - you feel totally surrounded by snowy trees while soaking in the tub and it's completely private. Best ski-in and ski-out - right out the back door. The kitchen was well stocked, two master bedrooms with the most comfortable beds, and the shower in the master bedroom is enormous!! We will be back for sure!! I would stay here in a heartbeat.

Top location , caretaker was friendly and attentive but not intrusive, kids loved the hot tub and parents loved the ski-in/out. Good internet and drying room so my priorities were covered. Clean and generally well prepared although the microwave had not been cleaned and (nit picking here) the extractor fan/filter needed replacement to remove the smell of roast food each time it was run. Communicative owner/manager . We would stay here again.

Every year our squash group rents a Silver Star vacation home for a two night three day ski outing. The location and layout of this home was perfect for accommodating our group of six. A very comfortable and clean home with everything you need. The caretakers in the suite below were very helpful and do a great job in keeping all walkways and parking cleared of snow and ice. The owner responded to our emails and text prior to our visit and was flexible to our request.

Great location, comfortable home

The house was perfectly situated with easy ski out access. And you can get pretty darn close to skiing into the house as well (with just a little bit of walking at the end). For parents with tiny kids, they have a pack n' play and a high chair which were greatly appreciated! The house was comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked, the view from the hot tub was beautiful, and the caretakers below were kind and helpful. They kept the road clear which made driving access easy. Definitely recommend this house!
