You won’t forget your time in this romantic, memorable place.
Though tiny, this house has lots of balcony and exterior area to hangout, chill and enjoy being surrounded by nature.

The beautiful Ficus tree is not only an attraction for our guests but also for countless birds as well as mammals such as White Faced monkeys, Agoutis, Coatis and others.

Enjoy our private trails, park and delicious breakfasts (available for a small extra fee).

Little gem in Monteverde

We had a great stay at Ficus Wonder bus! The bus is actually very spacious and the bed was super confortable. The host was very helpful and quick to answer any of our questions. I would definitely come back!

Immerse yourself in nature

We loved waking up early to sit on the very cool deck and listen to the birds and other wildlife. The location couldn’t be more perfect . We saw more wildlife from the deck than in the cloud forest .

Very unique stay, but the bus was full of bugs from the start. Not sure where they were getting in from as I kept the windows and door closed at all times. Aside from that though, this was a cool stay and in a good location. Close to a lot of the shops and restaurants in Monteverde, without all the traffic and people, as well as being close to the Cloud Forest Preserve. Also saw some cool wildlife outside the bus and in the ficus tree.

We're sorry to hear about the issue with insects during your stay. After your departure, we inspected the space thoroughly and did not find an unusual presence of bugs. However, since the bus is surrounded by forest, it's quite normal to encounter small insects like moths or similar—especially at night when lights are on. We always do our best to keep the space as bug-free as possible, but given the natural setting, it can be difficult to avoid them entirely without limiting the immersive forest experience. We truly appreciate your understanding and feedback, as it helps us continue to improve. We're glad you still enjoyed the overall experience and the unique wildlife sightings. Tree house

We loved our stay at Bus/treehouse, It had everything we needed and was in great location that we could walk to the restaurants, etc. The mattress was very comfortable hostess was very attentive with all our needs, booking things for us, Recommendations and setting up our SIM card. She spoke very good English, so it was easy to communicate with each other as we don’t speak Spanish. I would definitely recommend staying at the bus if you’re looking for something a little different.

Everything we imagined!!

Such an amazing experience. The bus was the perfect size for two people, the deck was amazing to sit at and listen to the birds. You are surrounded by trees and the smell is otherworldly! We watched a white faced Capuchin monkey from our balcony. Visited us twice in the 4 days we were there. Daniela was absolutely wonderful! Suggested some things to see and help set us up for the night tour where we say a sloth, toucans, etc. We stayed in 3 different areas over or two week in Costa Rica and this was our first stop, and was the best out of the three!
