Located in Huntersville, North Carolina, “Southern Charm” is at the south end of Lake Norman, 25 minutes to Charlotte, the airport, the White water rafting center, 35 min to Carowinds Theme Park, 5 minutes to Birkdale 5 min from Blythe landing, Ramsey Creek Park and Jetton Park.

“Southern Charm” secluded location yet minutes from all the amenities you will need, give you the best of both worlds
“Southern Charm” features:
First floor Master Bedroom#1-king bed with private bath. Bedroom # 2 Queen Bed with private bath. Upstairs #3 Queen bed + 2 single beds #4 bunk bed + 1 single (BR 3 and 4 share a Bath) #5 Full and 6 singles with private bath.
Inground pool with tanning ledge, water volleball and over 1000 sq ft of terrace surround. 4 outdoor dining tables plus lounge seating for 12. Gazebo with swing and ping pong table.
Rental boat delivery available and access to private chefs (addl cost)
We provide: 23bath towels, 15 beach/pool towels, sheets, fully equipped kitchen (coffee maker, toaster, hand mixer, pots & pans, dishes glassware, silver ware, etc) and paper products.

Lovely spot on the lake. The house has everything you could need. Excellent communication throughout. If you are in need of a massage reach out to JR Massages while you are there. he came out several times and does a really good job. Everyone was really pleased.

Relaxing Weekend Stay

My group spent a great long weekend enjoying the nearby golf and then relaxing at the house. The views, hot tub, and more than adequate space made our stay very comfortable.

The house was the perfect size and location for our group. We had three families, totalling 15 and everyone had plenty of room. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub and the two different docks for fishing. We also appreciated how accessible the lake was from the house (no stairs ). Trish supplied everything we needed and was available to help when minor issues arose. We hope to come back in the future.

Best family vacation ever

15 of us totally enjoyed our stay at Southern Charm. Our grandkids loved the pool, jumping off the dock, fishing, and tubing behind the rented pontoon boat. The house had a beautiful dock where we could keep the pontoon. Also supplied kayaks and paddle boards. Inside of the house had lots of living spaces and every cooking appliance you would need. Hope to be back some day. Thanks Trish!

We had a fantastic time in Lake Norman! The house is perfectly located on the lake with a dock for boat rentals and easy access to water for swimming and fishing. The host also provided paddle boards and kayaks for use. The pool was awesome and looks over the lake... we saw many beautiful sunrises and sunsets over the water each day. We spent most of the time around the pool, and it's shaded in the afternoon which was nice on hot days. The house easily accommodated our group of 15 adults. Our golfers were pleased to get games in most mornings at several local golf courses. The host was very welcoming and her communication was great before, during and following our stay. Great property for family and friends to spend time together and make memories. Highly recommend!!

Water retreat

Lovely property, very well equipped all around. Lake is freakishly warm, but we got used to it and didn’t want to get out. Pool area was also welcoming, very clean. We rented a pontoon boat from Westport Marina which was very convenient and kids loved to tube. The lake was huge, plenty of room to explore.

Beautiful view

We enjoyed a family reunion week with kids from four states. Easy access to airport was necessary. The house was well equipped with two refrigerators which was awesome. The pool and view of the lake was amazing. Beds were comfortable.We had a one year old so had to move decor to higher ground. Overall a great place to stay

Southern Charmed!

Family vacation and everyone had a wonderful time! Beautifully tended home and property that was accommodating for all and fully equipped for a large gathering. We utilized the kayaks, paddle boards, and ping pong table. Gorgeous pool and hot tub overlooking the lake. Anything we could possibly need was provided. Trish was just a text away and very responsive. We would come back again in a heartbeat!

House met all our expectations. Pool, hot tub, paddle boards and kayaks were put to good use by teens. Kitchen had plenty of utensils, dishes and glassware to accommodate 8 adults and 6 teens as well as occasional guests who stopped by. Trish was very responsive to any questions we had upon arrival.

We had a great time. Our ages ranged from 75 to 6 months and the facility was perfect! It was nice to have a pool, plenty of room for our boats and two jet ski's and everything you needed to have a comfortable stay. Any need we had was addressed quickly! This house is close to everything you could ever need/want as far as shopping and extra-curricular activities. Some of us took advantage of that some of us chose to never leave the property. It's just a great place for everyone with all needs!

exceptional lake rental

Property has all the amenities listed and much more. We were unsure what a vacation would look like this summer but the house and the surrounding area were perfect, you can spend all day at the house or go hiking/biking close by. We had kids 7-18 and they all enjoyed the kayaks and paddleboards that come with the house and fishing off the dock. Kitchen is so well stocked we didn't lack anything we needed. Pool is amazing and you can spend the entire day outside enjoying the view!! Owner is very helpful with any questions. We can't wait to go back

Summer 2022

As you drive into the property you feel this relaxed feeling come over you. But, the masterpiece of the entire house is looking out the sliders that overlooks the pool and Lake Norman. The house was beautifully decorated and easily accommodated the 13 people we had. Everything was there for us from towels to pots and pans. It is conveniently located to many stores and shops. We enjoyed the pool immensely and the kids/teenagers took advantage of the kayaks and paddle boards. Trish made herself readily available in case we needed anything or had a question during our stay. Great location and view.

We were so impressed by Southern Charm. Lake Norman is clean and beautiful. The home is spacious and extremely well equipped. There are 18 in our family and Southern Charm accommodated our group easily. Trish had kayaks available to us and we all used them. The 2 docks were perfect for both boating and the fishing the kids enjoyed. Several of our grandchildren learned to play ping pong during our week. The cove is very peaceful and welcoming. Even the pool was perfect for our youngest grandchild with the tanning ledge and seating on one side. Everyone agreed this was our best vacation yet!

Excellent location for a family reunion

We had a wonderful trip! This was an excellent place for our extended family to gather. Grandparents enjoyed watching the activities from the pool deck, while others swam in the lake, jumped off the dock, played ping pong, kayaked, paddle boarded, lounged in the pool, toured on the pontoon boat, or went wake boarding and tubing. There was so much for all ages to enjoy! The kitchen was very well-stocked to cook for our entire group, and there was plenty of room to enjoy our meals together. And the view from the kitchen and back deck were absolutely stunning. Trish was an excellent host - she quickly replied to my questions about the house before and during our stay. Everyone is departing with many great memories! Thank you for sharing your place with us. We had a wonderful time!

Southern Charm needs some TLC

Booked to celebrate my 60th with family. Lot and view were gorgeous. However, needs extermination and property clean up. Listed as no pets allowed but there was dog air about. Roaches and millipedes. WORSE part was a rat in the pool. Allowed us to check in an hour early and a few hours late check out. Spa only worked from controls inside and not via the buttons outside. Owner really tried to be helpful with the spa and VERY pleasant-unpredicted cold and rain and fireplaces not operable. Not worth the nightly rate- plus host and service fees. Leather couch worn and tattered.

We enjoyed our stay

The house came with everything you needed. The one extra living room did smell of dog urine but the rest of the house was very clean. The outdoor area was beautiful. We enjoyed the pool every day. The only downfall was you could not use the pool and hot tub at the same time. When you turned the hot tub on the pool stopped filtering and all the dirt and bugs instantly went into the pool. The view of the lake was beautiful. There was plenty of outdoor furniture for everyone however, several of the chairs were already breaking when we got there and we were charged through our insurance for one of them. The outdoor furniture definitely needs updated for the most part. Everything you need to cook with in the kitchen was included. You simply could pack some swimsuits and a couple extra outfits and that’s all you would need. The bugs were bad in the evening time so make sure you have bug spray. We did enjoy the swimming dock and the kayaks that were provided. The owner lives in an apartment right there and she was very helpful and helped fix the broken ladder at the swimming dock right away. Any time we had an issue she was right there to help. We also had an innocent where the red chair in the pool got broken from an adult just sitting in it and she was understanding and said the insurance would take care of that as well. Overall we enjoyed our trip.

Hi Robert, Thanks for your many kind words. Glad everyone enjoyed their stay. I wish I had know about the hot tub/ pool issue. I would have told you that cleaning the skimmer baskets before turning on the hot tub would have prevented this from happening. They can both be used at the same time when the baskets are cleaned. I didn’t know you were having a problem. I have replaced the rug in that room, and added some additional new chairs outside. Thanks for the feedback . Trish

Great house, great pool , great view

Unique, eclectic layout within which 8 adults and 3 infants can live without being on top of each other nor hearing any nighttime noises. It’s fun traveling through the layout to find your own private space and bath. Grandparents and kids laid quick claim to the huge upstairs wing we had all to ourselves. The pool is the star of the show, but if you can stay up late at night the view of lit homes around the lake periphery is gorgeous.

Amazing stay and host!

The views from the pool deck were amazing. Every morning we sat drinking our coffee and looking out over the water. You cannot beat this location. Our family enjoyed the pool, kayaking, paddle boardIng and just relaxing on this property. The photos do not do it justice. Trish was very responsive and we had everything we needed. I highly recommend this home (and host) for your lake Norman trip!
