We loved our stay at Rudolph Ranch! Tamara was a great host, quick to respond and very welcoming. The house is beautiful, clean and well stocked. Not to mention the view from the patio is unbeatable. It was the perfect mountain getaway for our family and we will definitely be back!
We were traveling with a group of friends. Set up of house perfect. Loved the area and wildlife. House was not clean. Furniture, driveway and overall amenities in the house show wear and neglect. Manager not available for maintenance needs during our stay of 5 days. Beautiful place I hope the owners/managers do it justice and maintain it better so it may be enjoyed by others.
It was more room than my wife and I needed but, it was great to use the hot tub after some hiking. Also, close enough to Black Hawk and Nederland for some great food and entertainment. The house needs a few Kleenex boxes.

Also, thank you for idea of adding Kleenex boxes! It has been done! We are grateful for ideas to make our guests more comfortable.
We enjoyed hosting you, and welcome you back if you ever return to Black Hawk!
Thank you for your review! We are glad you enjoyed our home!
We apologize that the water pressure issue took longer to fix than expected; however, the job is now completed and the water flow is spectacular!
If you are ever back in the Black Hawk area we would love to host you again!
Great place for your next extended family vacation!
Large, newly constructed property has 4 bedrooms, two sets of washer, dryer & refrigerators (one on the main level and the other in the basement level) so you’ll have plenty of room to store your food & beverages. The upstairs game room has a foosball table, the upstairs closet has many board games and in the garage, they have a ping pong table, so plenty of activities to occupy everyone. The large open-area living room, dining area and kitchen offers ample room, which opens-up to the deck with a hot tub. The hot tub was definitely welcome after a long day of hiking, (we hiked at nearby Upper Mule Deer Trail). Property uses Starlink for Internet, which was fast enough for our needs.
The property does not have air conditioning nor screens on any of the windows or sliding doors, so it can get “buggy” in the summer time as we had to open the windows in order to cool it down at night. The owner said they plan to measure the windows for screens, so hopefully this will not be a problem for next summer.

Thank you for your review, Jim! It was a pleasure hosting you! We really appreciated the feedback you gave us to improve the stay of future guests, and are working on making the changes! If you ever return to Black Hawk we would love to host you again!
We booked this house for our family vacation group of adults and kids.House looked beautiful and on the website and there was a lot of amenities like a fire pit , jacuzzi and fully stocked kitchen..Unfortunately when we arrived the jacuzzi was cold, it took 1 day to heat up, the fire pit didn’t work. We contacted host to ask what is wrong with the pit and the response was they knew that it wasn’t working and ordered new parts.. (I wish they updated their website before booking) The kitchen was a complete mess.
The water filter system wasn’t treated and the oven was dirty and microwave was greasy. The pans were completely covered with old dark oil. There wasn’t enough utensils for everyone the family to use. Dishwasher was dirty and stained.
I want to give details for people’s who consider to book because we wish we knew this stuff before.
We contacted VRBO costumer service to inform them about the situation. The morning before we checked out the property manager said we checked out at 5 am on the app. I was unaware there is such an option on the app. She was rude and did not even ask us to show her around about all the issues I listed above. A lot of work to do before this place should be visited again!

Response from VrboOwner on 8 Aug, 2024
It is unfortunate that Trey and his family did not enjoy our home. We do our best to see to the needs of the guests who come and care very much for the cleanliness and comfort of the stay.
We communicated briefly by chat with Trey. He told us of a few minor issues, but refused to share with us what was at the root of his frustration. Rather, he contacted VRBO directly who then had to contact us, and we still did not receive the information needed to understand what was going on.
All other messages from Trey were to inform us he wanted a full refund for his stay and that he would leave us a poor review. He refused to give us an explanation why a refund and poor review were necessary until after he left. We had to read his review to receive his reasonings.
We take guest comments to heart and if we agree with suggestions we act on them. Since Trey's review, we agree that a filtration system is a great idea. We are having it installed, along with a new dishwasher.
Also, if we had been aware that dishes and utensils needed replaced (they get broken and disappear) we would have been more than happy to deliver new ones. We have replenished them since we read the review.
I was a little dismayed at how the guest left our home on check out day. The house was left in a much messier than normal state when guests normally leave. But worse, an open diaper of fecal matter was left on the kitchen counter with dirty wipes spread around it!
We are a relatively new home rental. And we take pride in our home. We have a small number of reviews because we are new. We have maintained a 4.88 star review on Airbnb and currently have 4 and a 5 star reviews on VRBO. The guests prior to and directly after this guest left 5 star reviews (one siting a pristine kitchen).
I hope for all that this guest found wrong in the kitchen, he still found comfort in the rest of the home and enjoyed the mountains during his stay.
