Last Minute Trip
Overall a fine stay. Before booking we messaged the owner about the photos not matching the room description-but after 48 hours we still had no response. We took a chance on the booking. There are two queen mattresses and one king. While the description mentions a twin in one of the queen rooms. I had to call the property manager and she stated that they don’t get the Vrbo messages for a couple of days and it’s better to use the text link when booking to communicate. The shower handle on the top floor was broken and we had to use pliers to adjust the temperature of the water. The left sink drain also needed to be lifted to let the water drain properly. The dock lights and laundry room light was out. The trash was full from the last people who rented and we worried about the trash because it wouldn’t be taken out until Thursday. We tightened a doorknob.Once we talked with management, the lady they sent said they couldn’t fix the handle due to waiting on a part, the trash would be taken out by bags if needed from her, and she would be back to fix the dock and laundry room lights (she did).All of those were minor, but an adjustment during our trip.The area is quiet and peaceful. It’s also close enough to the busy areas if you want to leave the house. Make sure to read the layout. The bottom king bedroom is not connected to the bottom restroom. You’ll have to take a step outside to use the restroom-which isn’t ideal if mosquitoes bother you. Overall, a nice stay.
