Big Sky Overlook story...
Welcome to Big Sky Overlook, where the livin’ is easy, cozy, and fun.
Equal parts comfort and down home luxury, this is the cabin where you and yours will unwind and enjoy quality time together while exploring all that our beloved North Georgia has to offer.
With the mountains of Georgia, Tennessee and North Carolina rolling off into the colorful distance, you’ll not find a more ideal setting for this charming chalet. Sleep, rise, and shine in the comfort of a beautiful home that feels like just that: home.
Enjoy the simple yet well-appointed bedrooms and spacious living areas, a fully stocked modern kitchen, and the warmth of the fireplace or outdoor firepit. Cook, eat, laugh, and play together in a cabin built with one goal in mind: inviting togetherness, sharing, and relaxation.
Spend the days exploring the nearby towns of Blairsville and Blue Ridge, and quiet evenings on the two decks as the birds sing and the last of the sun’s rays disappear behind the mountains. Kids and adults alike will find plenty of opportunity for play — board games and books, shooting hoops in the driveway, billiards and a chilled bottle of white from a local winery, or a six pack with your boys/girls as you watch the game. Soak in the sunshine and fresh mountain air, then have a nourishing soak in the hot tub.
After all the stories have been told and the songs sung, as the last embers of the fire die down to a gentle glow, enjoy a night of perfect sleep… then get up to do it again.
You’ll not want your time at Big Sky to end… but after it does, you’ll remember it with warmth and love for decades to come.

Sounds like y’all got to enjoy the best parts—good mountain views, hot tub soaks, and a little pool table competition 😄 So glad everything was just right for your stay!
We had a wonderful time at big sky overlook. The cabin was fully stocked with everything we could possibly need and the zip line was a wonderful surprise! Both kids and adults alike felt so comfortable, the books in the kids room and the kid movies was a wonderful touch. We definitely hope to be back!
A group of us stayed here for a golf trip and had a great time. Beds are all good, AC was nice and cold, place was very clean & had good amenities. Great view of the mountains from the deck as well.
This is the first time a place has exceeded my expectations. Most are very good, and I have had only a few issues with others in the past. But this house is to be lived in and has been. It has everything we needed and then some. All the living accommodations were very comfortable. And I slept better than even at home. I highly recommend this home. It was just two of us even though we had planned on 6. But six or more would find enough space to fully enjoy their time here.
The house is exceptional in every way. Well stocked kitchen, comfortable, plenty of room and privacy for all guests, and relaxing outdoor deck. No worries when here!

Thank you for the review, Jay! We are glad you enjoyed a comfortable stay!
We had the most beautiful weekend together at this cabin! The kids loved the billiards and the zip line! The rooms are spacious and comfortable beds and each guest has their own bathroom for privacy and convenience. The kitchen is spacious and open. We loved the gas fireplace and thou we didn’t find time to use the hot tub, it was clean and had a beautiful view. There’s a view from every part of this beautiful cabin. The fire pit is perfectly situated with lots of seating. They thought of everything with this cabin and property! We look forward to booking this home again! This home is definitely our favorite rental of all time and we have rented several places over the years. It’s about 30 minutes to visit Helen, GA and a short drive to several easy hikes to waterfalls. It’s only about a 10 minute drive to Walmart and town if you need groceries. But, while you’re in the cabin, you can feel the calmness and seclusion and that’s what we loved. Peace and beauty! Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home!
This was our 4th stay at Big Sky over the past 7 years. The property is very clean inside, with a well stocked kitchen and enough towels and linens. The washer and dryer are available for use, which is a plus. View has changed over the years as the trees have grown, changing it to short range vs long range. The porches were the place one wanted to hang out, but housekeeping must have overlooked as there were cobwebs and overgrown weeds on both porch and steps. There is plenty of entertaining items, like puzzles, games, videos and of course the pool table and hot tub.Televisions in all areas for those interested and internet service was available. We enjoyed our stay and will continue to return to this comfortable, well equipped, and nicely located cabin.
