We were in town to celebrate my late wife's life by visiting the family graves & enjoying lunch at the Mercantile. The house was perfect for what we wanted to do as we had eight people staying there and another nine sitting in the living area and telling stories. The house has good character, but he needs to replicate the parking situation as the house next door.
The property was adequate for our overnight stay to see the town and mercantile. It was well situated. The driveway needed improvement. The ladies said that the bathrooms needed upgrades. Overall it worked for us.
We enjoyed our stay here!! It was so spacious and had lots of rooms to accommodate big families or groups. The home feels just like grandma’s house…very comfortable and accommodating. The host warmly reached out to us before and during our visit there. We were also welcomed by a neighbor who gave us insights to other local places to visit. We were very, very close to the Pioneer Woman Mercantile, restaurants and stores. We even learned more about a famous Academy Award winner cowboy, and an Award winning movie that was filmed down the street. Had a great time.
If you're wanting super modern and bland, this is not the property for you. If you like a little funkiness and enchantment, you should definitely check this one out! Our family SO enjoyed staying in this spacious charmer! We had plenty of room to spread out in this home, the hosts were readily available and so helpful, and the house was one of the most well-stocked (toiletries, kitchen items, blankets, etc.) we have ever had the pleasure to visit. Oh! And the location! We LOVED being able to walk to downtown! We would love to stay here again one day!
The house itself is a cool old house. But the kitchen needs a deep clean. There was food in the microwave from the previous visit. Beds are comfortable. Some of the furniture is trash. The bathroom window shutters are stuck in the open position. Some of the other windows either don’t or won’t lock. This property has great potential, if the host cleans it up.
