The Grey Goose Lodge on a Gradual Slope to Water!

This beautiful lake front home has a gradual slope from backyard to water with access to a huge floating dock with 2 attached floating docks available for your jetskis. Year around smooth water and located just 3 miles off Highway 33. It has wrap around decking where you have multiple views of lake as well as a huge deck near water. Totally kid friendly to swim, hike, golf, fish, relax, boating and enjoy family time!! The sunroom is all glass with option to open windows yet screened in to enjoy evening dinners or morning coffee. This home will comfortably sleep 10-12. Kitchen is fully equipped and all bed linens are provided, bring your own towels. This home is very well decorated with a rustic cabin feel. There is access to Bubbas Brews on the water which is a 10 minute boat ride or car ride. Beach Island Marina(connects with Bubba Brews) is a full service marina 10 minutes away and there are several other close by. To many other great qualities about this home to list. Lovely stay the extra apartment above the garage was a really nice addition and private space. The home was clean. Everything worked and the dock was beautiful and a lovely place to hang out. Would return soon.

A little piece of heaven

I can't say enough wonderful things about this property! It is truly our dream home. The house is so cozy and set up perfectly for everyone to have their own space in addition to common areas to enjoy time together. We enjoyed playing cards in the sunroom, football games on TV in the living room, s'mores around the fire in the backyard, and our days on the lake or floating at the dock. The gradual slope to the lake was so much easier on everyone to go back and forth from the water to the house. We are already looking forward to booking our next stay here! Curt, the owner is wonderful and had everything ready for us. Our favorite Norris property to date!

Great location for a family vacation!

Our family has been vacationing at Norris Lake for many years. This house was by far our favorite. The owner Curt was so friendly and helpful. He was available by phone whenever I had questions, The property is beautiful, quiet and very close to the lake. We loved sitting and relaxing on the deck that is so close to the dock. The covered dock is awesome for fishing and swimming. The gentle walk to the dock was the best part. We loved the screened in porch. Great place to gather for food and family time together. The house is also beautiful and clean. Equipped with anything you would need. We loved the apartment over the garage. Plenty of space for all our family. We will definitely vacation at The Grey Goose Lodge again. I would recommend this lovely house for vacation.

The Grey Goose Lodge...

Amazing place to stay, very clean, kitchen stock with items for cooking, living area very nice, all bedroom very comfortable, area above the garage is amazing for a family with children. .The yard and bonfire area was a favorite gathering place. Having the boat dock made going out so easy we all loved it. We enjoyed everything about this property and hope to return again soon. Working with Curt the property owner was also a wonderful experience. Thank you for sharing your home away from home with us.

Awesome vacation!

Great house we have stayed there several time. Great owner easy to work with, enjoyed meeting him this vacation. The easy walk to the dock is awesome. Enjoyed our stay very much, hope to book again for next year!

Lake Time at it's best

The Grey Goose Lodge was ideal for our mixed family group in every aspect. The interior furnishings and amenities allowed us to really enjoy the family being together. The kitchen is well equipped for meals. The dining area in the 4 seasons room was big enough for our crowd. The bedrooms gave us plenty of options to make everybody comfortable. The outdoor decks and sitting areas offered so many options that if you couldn't find a spot to relax, it was your own fault. The slope to the lake was easy for everyone from the oldest to the youngest to make their way to the lake. The dock provided a place to keep our boat close. We really enjoyed the property and will look to return again in the future.

Our family, nine adults and three children thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this wonderful cabin. The closeness to the water, nearby marinas, and necessities like grocery stores was very nice. Though we experienced lots of rainy days, the cabin had several areas where we could gether to play games, watch movies, or just visit and laugh. Overall our experience was delightful. Curt was accessible whenever we needed answers to our questions and was a gracious host! Thank you for a GREAT week of family fun and relaxation!

A great way to start the summer

My family and I had a wonderful stay at the lodge, easy to access water with one of the best docks a boater could ask for no matter what size your boat and the launch ramp is only a short drive from the dock by water and very easy to find. The water is beautiful and clean spend your days cooling off or catching fish right from dock this house will easily accommodate large families plenty of cooking space in a well stocked kitchen. The owner of this home went out of his way to make sure during are stay that we had no questions or problems during are stay we look forward to coming back soon.

Great family vacation!

The pictures do not do this home justice! If you know Norris lake then you know most rentals have a hike down to the water, NOT this one! Loved being able to get to the water without having to hike down the mountain or climb up a bunch of steps after a long day on the water. The owners were GREAT to work with and truly want you to enjoy your stay. The porch is definitely the highlight of the home, so nice to sit with the windows open and hear the water. We have stayed at several rentals over the years coming to Norris but this will be our first choice every time we come back from now on!

Great weekend getaway

We rented the house for an adult weekend getaway. It was perfect for our group's needs. Easy access to the lake, boat dock, large sun room to hang out, all the necessary amenities, and the close proximity to the grocery/marinas/local bar made for a nice relaxing trip. I'd definitely recommend the Grey Goose Lodge to anyone looking for a place to stay at Norris Lake.

Fun family reunion in August!

We stayed at The Grey Goose in August and had a great time. When planning our reunion, Norris Lake seemed like the perfect location since we had family members coming from Illinois, Indiana, Tennessee, Colorado, and North Carolina. We were a little hesitant since we didn't know the area, but were extremely happy we chose Norris Lake and this house! We were pleasantly surprised to find such a quiet lake! During the week we saw only a few ski boats quite a distance away, so our lap swimmers were able to swim from the dock across the lake to the island (@ 160 yards?) and back. The little kids were safe swimming off the dock, with no huge waves to toss theme around. Our kayakers enjoyed getting out on the lake and taking great photos at sunrise and sunset. The nice wooden deck halfway to the lake was huge - great for lunches, or sunbathers, or those that didn't want to go all the way down to the dock. We relaxed there playing games (the house has quite a few games to choose from), cards, or just watched the swimmers. The sunporch was huge, and using the porch plus the tables on the deck had plenty of room for our family. We rented a second house nearby, but all met at this house for meals. We had 23 people for a couple of days! The grill was huge, there were plenty of patio chairs and tables for everyone, and very few mosquitos! The garage apartment was a nice separate area for the folks that liked to stay up later, it was removed from the main house so the older folks had peace and quiet after 11:00 p.m. (but the younger crowd could still play games or play music until later). The main house had very comfortable sleeping for eight, with two bathrooms. The kitchen was sort of small for such a large group, but with the island we were able to prepare and serve meals for 20+. There were plenty of serving platters, large bowls, plates, silverware, a coffee maker, toaster, microwave, and blender. (It would be nice if the icemaker had been working, we bought quite a few bags of ice while we were there!) The nearby state park had tennis courts (which could use resurfacing!), basketball court, hiking trails, and a playground area. Small town was only about ten minutes away and had a nice grocery store with decent prices. We would definitely consider coming back to The Grey Goose for another reunion. The setting was wonderful, and everyone had a great time. Thanks to the hosts for answering all of our questions ahead of time!

Peaceful, Tranquil, and Just what the Doctor Order

I was looking forward to a weekend getaway to unwind from several stressful weeks of work. Leaving the busy city, the stress just kept diminishing driving from interstate to highway to winding hills and the arrival at the Grey Goose Lodge. Tiers of decks, enjoying my morning coffee right out the back door, or a few steps down to enjoy a closer look at the morning fog steaming off the glass surface lake. The dock, located a few steps down also provided for a little enjoyment floating in a very private cove of Lake Norris. The house was well kept and the owner was great to work with. I will definitely be heading back. Just hopefully sooner than later.

Beautiful Lakefront Property

We had a group of co-workers and spouses that went for three nights. The property was awesome on the water with our own boat dock. The marina was close by and easy to access. EPIC LAKE HOUSE!!!!

As usual, just an epic stay at the Grey Goose Lodge! Been traveling down to the GGL for the past 5 years. Simply the bomb! Great location, excellent view and awesome accomodations. Rental owners are simply wonderful peeps! Would recommend this property for any type of getaway. Enjoy!

Great location, great house, easy walk to the water!

We truly enjoyed our week at Grey Goose Lodge! One of the highlights for us was the easy approach to the water. The only steps were from the large platform deck to the nice dock on the water. We brought kayaks and jet skiis (which we parked on the available pads). We rented a pontoon from Cedar Grove Marina and had plenty of room for all these toys. There was also a table and chairs on the dock. The location was great too as they are off the main channel so very little boat traffic. The house was comfy with all the things we needed to cook meals (even an extra fridge outside!). I loved sitting on the deck sipping coffee and watching the squirrels, chipmunks, and bunnies and a couple of evenings we had a great time at Bubba Brews about 10 min away at Beach Island Marina. We learned after arriving that there is no wifi and spotty cell service, but it was kind of nice not being able to check work emails! And there were lots of board games and card games to keep us entertained. Curt was very nice and responsive- not that we had any issues. I think he should include more photos of the bedrooms and the guest house as they are super cute! Overall a very fun and relaxing time was had by our entire group. I'm looking forward to coming back next year!

Fantastic Lake House

This was my first experience staying in a lake house for a week with a family group. All I can say it was WONDERFUL and had all the amenities you would need. We had various ages from babies to Grandma. The main house had three very nice size bedrooms: one on first floor and two upstairs with queen beds and one room had a trundle bed. Living room with TV/Cable and couches. The attached apartment is great for additional family with a separate bedroom, bathroom, additional beds with trundles and comfy couch. The kitchen was fully stocked with anything you needed for cooking. Plenty of pans, bowls, dishes, glasses, utensils and blender for those smoothies. Nice counter area with bar stools for those quick meals. The glass/screen enclosed area extended the length of the house and it had a nice large table and sitting area with a perfect view of the lake. Huge decks with plenty of seating and a covered area with a fan on those hot days. Views were spectacular. Now the best part was the slight walk down NO STEPS to a large deck area with table/umbrella and chairs to view the lake and dock area. The covered dock had ample room to park boats or other water crafts. We rented a pontoon boat which we used everyday. The children and adults had an easy excess to the lake with a nice ladder or the more daring just jumped in. Bring floats, noodles, fishing poles and etc. because this was in a nice quiet part of the lake. No worry about boats coming to close. Easy to get too and convenient to Beach Island Marina. The owners are very pleasant, quick to respond and very helpful. I would definitely keep this house on my list for any future trips.

Perfect Getaway!

Our family of 18 rented The Grey Goose Lodge as well as another nearby house for the week. The accommodations were just perfect for our family--ages ranging from 75 years to 3 months! The attached apartment is great for separating noisy teenagers or sleeping babies! The location is a pretty private lot with an EASY walk to the dock/water. There are several places to enjoy the view. It was nice to have 3 decks for eating, reading, or laying in the sun. The extra refrigerator and the grill on the deck was great. Bring noodles or rafts--floating in the lake just off the dock was amazing! We had a great time with our rented a pontoon boat and loved being able to dock it at our own private dock. Beach Island Marina and Bubba Brews Bar and Restaurant is a short boat or car trip for loads of fun! The owners are wonderful--very accommodating and helpful. We hope to be back again!

Great Times

Went down to visit Curt's Place on Norris lake with 9 friends for a bachelor party. The house was very clean and well laid out. The water was way down, I think for some construction on a bridge. If the water was normal depth the dock and all would have been on a gradual slope as the description says. Will come back for another visit for sure. Curt is easy to reach and will tell you all you need to know. Property was not hard to locate and is very private as there is only 3 or 4 properties around it. Money well spent here!

Awesome getaway location

We booked the Grey Goose lodge for an adult weekend on the lake. We had a fantastic time. Great place for couples or bringing the entire family. Loved the private access to the lake via your own boat dock. The lodge is beautiful with plenty of room for 8. Already planning our vacation here for next year.
