We stayed here over the Fourth of July weekend with a group of friends and had a great time! The house is well set up for groups, with plenty of beds and rooms to comfortably accommodate everyone. The elevator was a huge plus for getting heavy bags and groceries upstairs with ease. The location is great. It's right on the bay with stunning views, and it's steps from a small beach on the Chesapeake. We also made good use of the two kayaks provided. That said, it's worth noting that the area is very buggy. The house is next to a still pond, so there are a lot of bugs around the outside of the house. We were hoping to have a big family meal in the screened-in patio, but there were too many bugs that had gotten inside and were stuck in there. The outdoor areas could definitely benefit from a good power wash and a bit more upkeep.
We had a nice stay with our family to celebrate our son's graduation from St. Mary's College of Maryland. The house was perfect for our group and we enjoyed the beach.
This is our 2nd year staying at Kentigern. The location is fantastic with lots of space both inside and out. The beach is just steps away and the view is what brought us back this year. Pet friendly was another big reason! The property managers we dealt with last year and this year (I believe there was a change) were all friendly, helpful, and responsive. Our group consisted of 4 couples over 50. Here’s what we feel can be improved. A better stocked kitchen. The items they do have are quality and in some cases old. Stove is hard to turn on and some burners run extremely hot making it hard to cook. Furniture in living room is old and the couches are very uncomfortable.Mattresses are comfortable but all are full-size so too small for our group! The screened-in porch was in better shape and cleaned this year but the screens really need replacing. At least 2 chairs were broken and not useable so we never sat out there. Black out shades or more curtains in some of the bedrooms would help with sleeping in past sunrise. (The sunrises are beautiful though!). Wi-Fi is good inside the house but doesn’t really work outside in the decks. Washer and dryer and the supply of soaps and detergents are a nice touch. The exterior really needs to be pressure washed to remove the cobwebs, bugs and dirt build up. This is a very impressive architectural home without a doubt. It really needs to TLC and updating.
The property is gorgeous surrounded by nature. You wake up in the morning and sip your coffee or tea listening to the birds and waves sound. Bring your food supply and you will not need to go out. Nearest big shopping is about 30-35 min. Great for families get together. Has an elevator which helps bringing things up to the kitchen in 3rd floor but my husband needed it.Little kids will require lots of supervision with the steps. Bay water was warm, sandy and many pebbles, typical from the area. Some jellyfish and small fishes. Is a definite do over in the near future.

Dirty and under stocked
We love coming here with our friends for a great long weekend ,
But , there was trash under a bed and the floors were dirty. You wanted us to start a load of wash but there was no laundry soap.
Not enough bath towels, no Windex you have a glass dining table.
No tissues. Just is missing that luxurious feel. We stayed in many of your homes and love them.
Our group of 4 couples had a great time. The location is secluded and there is nothing to do except enjoy the bay, kayak, have fun with family. The house is well stocked and we loved the many balconies facing the water. We struggled with the ac and heat system and found the whole house fan the day we left. Some instructions would have been helpful. There was a bedroom where most of the electric didn’t work. I tried calling the number in the listing and emailed with no response for 2 days. When they did show they had no idea what to do and brought no tools. It didn’t get fixed. We also wanted to know what to do for checkout. I tried email, phone, and the response was I don’t work there any more. There was some frustration but would highly recommend the place.

Bay Front Beauty
Just returned from a week at Kentigern WOW. What a property!!! Rented the property with my parents. Such a grand residence that towers above the sparkling Bay. As you approach the property you are in awe of it's presence and it certainly set the tone for the week. Amazing water views, amazing home !!! Every room has a view of the bay which goes on forever. My parents are in their 70's with knee issues so the elevator was a huge asset. Easily whisks you to all of the upper levels and great help after the grocery store run. The decor is fantastic, fireplace wonderful, and the kitchen was amazing ! We cooked the entire week. Well stocked with every cooking utensil, plate, glass, silver ware...you could feed an army ! The deck space is absolutely remarkable and well planned. Enjoyed sitting outside enjoying libations and enjoying the sounds of the waves.....so relaxing. I'm a huge fan of cruising and you literally felt like you were on a cruise ship as you peered out every window. The sunrise every morning was spectacular. The small beach was a welcome spot for reading and getting a little sun which was nice for November. Fantastic experience ! Can't wait to return. A stunning property !

Renter be aware read our pros and cons that we encountered
To our surprise when we entered the house, the rooms were small with exception to the master bedroom on the top floor.
Main issue is the main living / family room was like a sauna and we sweated inside as their dual ac system did not keep it cool to 71. The three sides are all glass windows. the sun shines in from sunrise to sunset. No shades, blinds, etc. to keep heat out, no ceiling fans to keep air circulating. when it was hot 95 outside, it was 85-87 inside. We had to sleep and use other bedrooms. We had a handicap elderly person and the heat upstairs made it unbearable for her and us. We made the owner aware and they basically told us to deal with it as it was so hot
The master bedroom on the 3rd floor ceiling fan was broken which again was submitted and we could not use to being a safety concern
A broken ceiling fan out on the 3rd deck
Ice maker didn’t work, so we had to purchase bags of ice
Coffee maker was a cheap one and didn’t work 100%
The back screened deck had tons of flys stuck in the screens and mold / mildew on the interior walls.
Several kitchen Chairs didn’t have screws fastened or were missing
Living room picture on line was misleading. It was crowded with too much furniture
No mop or bucket to clean up spills
The elevator comes up and opens right into the master bathroom and it’s a non-private bathroom / shower.
They list they supply toilet paper and paper towels. They supplied only a few rolls
life jackets were available for kayaks and the one there was ripped. None for children, had to ask
The pond is a breeding ground for mosquitoes
This is a higher-end beach property with a wonderful wide view of the bay from window-filled comfortable rooms. As one member of our party is in a wheelchair, the small elevator was important to our enjoyment of the property. Small beach on the property and larger beach adjoining. Jellyfish were out when we were there, so didn't spend much time in the water. But that was just our bad luck, as they are not constant. Spent a lot of time chatting, cooking/baking, eating, and getting around and about, including a day trip to Smith Island from Point Lookout. Heat wave while we were there, but stayed comfortable both indoors and under a shady tree enjoying breezes off the bay. Very nice place.
This was everything I wanted and expected plus more. The house was amazing - only suggestion would be to powerwash the entry areas occasionally - they were fly-specked and looked really dirty. The inside was lovely. The kitchen beautifully stocked with every appliance and convenience you could ask for. There were only two dish towels and no dish rags which was solved by going to the local Dollar store and purchasing some ourselves. The only disappointment was the adjacent tidal pond which we had visited last year and really enjoyed. This year it was almost stagnant and covered in thick moss and reeds. We were unable/unwilling to try to crab from it. We did find another tidal pond down the beach to the north, however. All in all - we had a lovely time and the accomodations were wonderful. Thank you!
Beautiful house at a quiet and isolated location. Love the design. Right on the water, big windows give beautiful views of the Bay from every room. So peaceful. Pet friendly. Not for little kids.
A lot of stairs but elevator available. Carpets are stained which comes with being near water & accepting pets. one shower broken, really loud hot water heater. Didn't realize people would be walking across the property with their pets. Makes it a little uncomfortable especially with the big windows in master bath shower.
Peggy (/and Emily) -
We (Ibanez Family) thoroughly enjoyed our stay at All Four (4) Properties (Ketinger's, Ketinger's Shed, Bruadair, and Bruadair Guest Hours).
Thanks for working with us to adjust dates and accommodate our delayed Stay due to COVID-19. We did again enjoy our stay.
As for our observation, there was wear-n-tear on All the properties, as compared to our stay in 2019, where handy-man repairs would be all that is needed:
(Kentinger's Master Bath Tiles need Repair as they are lose and detaching, Kentinger's Master Bathroom Shower Water Pressure was very Low and Hot Water was absent, Exterior Power Wash would be beneficial to remove the effects of Saltwater in the air and Moss Build-up on Exterior Walls and Outdoor Furniture, Master Bedroom Ceiling Fan needs to be Balanced, Master Balcony Fan Blade is Mission, Master Balcony Wire Retaining Handrail needs to be tightened, Floors throughout Kentinger's were sandy and dusty, 2nd Floor TV's Optical Sound Cable was Broken at the TV Connection/No Sound from the Sound Bar (TV Speakers Only), 1st Floor Hallway Bathroom would not fully switch from Shower-head to Spigot, Ground Floor Bedroom TV was missing HDMI Cable from Mini Cable Box to TV/No TV Signal/TV unusable //
Bruadair Sliding Glass Doors are difficult to Open, Close and Lock //
Bruadair Guest House was supplied with just 1/2 Roll of Toilet Paper).
OVERALL -- We ALL DID have a Wonderful Time and Enjoyed our Stay on All the Properties... THANK YOU!!!
Lastly, we (Ibanez and Brightwell) have reserved the properties Again for OCT 2022 (Columbus /Indigenous People Day) for our Annual Gathering...

This place is gorgeous! I was expecting a very nice beach house, but this place has everything you could want for a family gathering. The rooms are great and all of them have balconies, except the first floor which has (3) double patio doors for an amazing amount of light. The sunrise and sunsets are beautiful and the semi-private beach is intimate and cozy. The kitchen and living room have all the amenities you could want and this place is definitely suitable for a week long stay.
House was great and the views were just spectacular. The outside of the house needed to be cleaned due to bugs and cobwebs but overall we will definitely be back.

Decent weekend
Not to anyone fault but the weather was awful so for half our stay we were stuck inside with two toddlers. I would not recommend the home for small children as the stairs and bannisters just aren’t kid friendly.
