Stay was great! Perfect for our little family of 4. Would love to visit again in the summertime and enjoy the added amenities we were not able to use due to the season.

Front deck had thick sheet of ice on it. My girlfriend fell down 5 stairs as a result of this. Couldn't get in the property because the lock wasn't working. Couldn't sleep in downstairs bedroom because it was freezing because propane ran out. Spoke to property manager Candice

Hello,
We do appreciate constructive feedback as it does help us to improve the service. Unfortunately, we did just have a bad ice storm here and are currently in a polar vortex. We salt, it melts, it refreezes. The entire country is in a salt shortage right now (I believe NBC news reported on that). We made very effort to locate salt, ice melt or even cat litter but there was none to be found within a 50 mile radius of the property. I do hope your girlfriend is ok, we did check the cameras and did not see that anyone fell on the property at all so this was a bit of a shock to read, especially since we spent so much time on the phone during your stay. It's a shame after almost an hour of trying to assist you on FaceTime, to get those heaters going, that we could not. However we were lucky that the gas company came out the very next morning during your stay, as we told you they would, to check everything out and offered to start the heaters for you but no one answered the door. Thank goodness there is electric heat in the house with a thermostat in every room including the basement. They did get in there today and found that the heaters are working just fine with no issues at all and the propane level is a 73% so there was plenty of propane. I do understand that getting them lit is tricky sometimes and that is why the directions are on a metal plate on a chain on each heater.
I am sorry for your experience, and I do wish that some of these things were more in our control. I'll bet we are all in agreement that summer cannot come fast enough!! I do hope you all have a great day.
