This is our 5th stay at this beautiful cottage. We have recommended it to friends as well. The hosts have done everything to insure that your stay will be a wonderful experience. The cottage is immaculate and has everything you need to have a relaxing stay. I highly recommend it!
Home was beautiful, super clean, comfy beds, big screen TV, well-equipped, beautifully decorated and very secluded. Host were great. They even had a highchair & crib for our 18-mo. old. On the other hand, and not such a big deal, but there was no wood for the fire pit as promised, none of the outdoor lights worked, and we wish we didn't have to take the garbage with us on our long trip back. Otherwise, we had a good time in this scenic, quiet, secluded home.
Thursday afternoon I was looking for a weekend getaway place in the mountains for a 2 night stay on vrbo. This listing was love at first sight.
I had couple of questions and quickly messaged the host , who replied back within minutes and that responsiveness was consistent until and after we checked out.
Drive up: beautiful and the last 25 minutes was a winding road with beautiful views. The last half mile was gravelly. I would recommend driving in daylight.
Checking in: very smooth. Simply follow the 2 step instructions. Opened the door to a beautifully maintained fresh house tastefully decorated and very practical.
Amenities: fully equipped kitchen especially if you are a coffe enthusiast or a baking enthusiast. Tons of fresh towels and linens. Smart tv in every room. Good WiFi. Games for indoors and backyard.
Surrounding: private, quiet and serene .
Overall we wanted to rest and relax and we achieved that goal.
The pictures don’t do justice as in- person it looks much more beautiful ! Gracious host.
The hosts were amazing with communication and the supplies were on point! We were here for a 45 year college reunion. Our guests were overwhelmed by the beautiful surroundings and the beauty of the home.
The town is quaint and has everything that you would need if you forgot something! We are planning to return next year!
Great location off the beaten path with all amenities. Nicely decorated and comfortable, fully stocked for a long stay. Berkley Springs was 15 minutes away with its mineral baths and coffee shops.
Christian was a very gracious host. Her home is very nice, very clean and very well appointed. She really thought of everything that guests could want both inside and out.
I met a friend from Pittsburgh here and we spent a long weekend golfing at Cacapon State Park Resort (which was also a very nice place). Christian's home was only ~20' or so away.
I will stay at Christian's home again when we meet to golf.
