Chesapeake Beach, also known as Chic's Beach (and Chicks Beach by non-locals), is a stretch of beaches running about two miles from the Lynnhaven Inlet to just west of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel in Virginia Beach. What originated as a lookout post during war, the beaches eventually turned to more recreational activities. The area developed in the early 1900s as a beachfront residential community. It is a diverse area consisting of beach cottages, condominiums, townhouses, duplexes, apartments, and single-family homes. Shore Drive is one of the corridors leading to the tourist destination of the Virginia Beach oceanfront.

The residents of this community enjoy less public traffic due to restricted parking and a relatively unknown-about neighborhood. The favorite activities of these neighborhoods include boating the four lakes winding through the area, jet skiing, kayaking, walking the beach and sailing on the Bay, and the kids engage hours of skateboarding, skim boarding and creating sand-castles. This is a duplex and it is the top unit only. Lower unit is a separate unit that is also a rental.

The house was a great location and met all our basic needs. The A/C struggled a bit to keep up due to poor sealing around windows and doors. The owners had done some updates to the property and everything was functional. The kitchen was minimally stocked.

Definitely a hidden gem!!

Everything from the arrival to the departure was seemless and effortless! The host was communicative and made our beach stay very memorable! We didn't have any weird cleaning requests when we left. We will definitely recommended to our friends and family!

Biggest problem was the lack of maintenance of trees. I had to purchase loppers to remove noisy tree limbs from hitting the upper stories of the house. Also reported this to owner but received a late reply though apologetic. Overall a nice place but too small for 6 adults. Prettier a family with small children.

Love Chic's Beach

We love this area. After vacationing in Va Beach resort area for many years, we wanted a more quiet area where we could vacation and visit with family in the area. Chic's Beach is a perfect location for us. This is our 2nd time visiting the area and our first time renting from Kathy and her partner Dean. We will definitely look to rent from them again! The place was as advertised. It was surprisingly a lot bigger than expected. The community is very welcoming especially if you have pets (dogs), like to walk or jog the streets or beach. It is literally just steps to the beach! When we had an issue with dishwasher, we called Kathy and Dean was there within 5 minutes and resolved/fixed the issue. Now that is awesome service and responsiveness! We really hope to rent out this place in the future.

Over all property is very nice the problems I had was there was trash under furniture and beds and the door knob on bathroom in master bedroom needs replaced I was locked in bathroom for 45 minutes before I got it opened and some nails on deck needs hammered in other wise it is a very nice place to stay thank you

Last wishes with family

We enjoyed our final family trip. The beach was close enough to get to wheelchair but very hard to push so I only went once I wasn't going to make my son do that again. Balcony light went out. Internet was terrible! You couldn't even call 911. Overall It was a nice place and we enoyed our time
