About this property
Trolley and The Treehouse #hiking #love #friendcation
The Treehouse is privately situated on 5 acres of woodlands and pasture. The property is centrally located to some of the best state parks in Tennessee. They don’t call White Co. “The Land of Falling Water” for nothing. If you love the outdoors, you’re in luck. On a clear night, the stargazing is second to none. You’ll find hammocks and swings sprinkled throughout the woods as well as outdoor accent lighting.
The Treehouse itself is a project that has been in the works for a few years. Inside you’ll find a wall of windows and most windows tell a story. The stained glass in the back walls came from Coppes Commons in Nappannee, IN. The great big yellow window was reclaimed from an old church in Franklin, TN. In the wall of windows, there are a couple of stained glass windows that were pulled from an old home in Chicago. Many of the others came from my Grandparent’s home. There’s some history here and we definitely love having that energy surround us.
You’ll find a bar area with a large wine fridge and a bar sink. We have a keurig and provide plenty of KCups as well as teas, snacks and honey sticks. The studio has a King platform bed with great accent lighting beneath. Kick back after a long day in the 69” clawfoot soaking tub/with sprayer-we provide the goodies to take you through that amazing bath…big, cushy white towels, salts and robes too! Don’t worry, there’s a privacy curtain if you need it.
The Vintage trolley was retired for a number of years when we fell in love with it and had it towed 100 miles to our little random field of wildflowers. We have spent the last 2 years really bringing this project to life. We definitely wanted to capture the originality of the old girl but also wanted to make it as functional as a home. It is set on a foundation and surrounded by decking. You'll find elements of old and new throughout with every detail thought out with intention.
The original powered trolley door is your main entrance. You'll find all you need in this space. We have a wine fridge, a Keurig (plenty of cups), a selection of hot teas and honey, and a variety of snacks. We created a zen space for meditation or if you just want to grab a book and "check out" for a few hours. You'll be surrounded by color and texture throughout the space. And of course, a vintage trolley would not be complete without a record player and classic records.
As you make your way toward the back, you'll find the bedroom suite with a queen bed and a deep sitting tub. We provide everything you need down to the toiletries. bath salts and robes for your lounging pleasure.
This property is located in Doyle, TN at the end of a dead end street, tucked behind a large 6' metal privacy fence.
The space opens up to 5 acres of woodland and pasture. We have a family of deer that seem to love the property as much as we do. If you're a birder, this is the place. The Trolley shares the property with a Treehouse but both provide an incredible amount of privacy for each guest.
This is a perfect space for a friend getaway or that couple's trip.
