About the host
Hosted by Kelly

We are Hopeful Roots. A couple and now family who came to Hawaii to live the dream of homesteading. Coming from the suburbs of New York, we have learned first hand a lot on our food independence journey. Our intention is to help others grow food no matter where they call home. We love showing this beautiful island and her delicious foods to people. We love inspiring others in off grid eco living.
Why they chose this property
Our neighborhood is full of earth conscious off grid folks like ourselves. We are all committed to live a life more closely connected to nature. Our neighborhood attracts a lot of woofers, work traders and guests who've come to see what living with minimal inputs can look like.
What makes this property unique
Honestly, I think it's our hospitality and eagerness to share this way of life that makes our property unique. The gorgeous fruit trees, gardens, fun farm animals and star gazing just enhance the atmosphere.
