After five years, this work of art is finally complete! This eco friendly building was mostly constructed with materials from our forest. Nearly 200 volunteers had a hand in helping over the years in its construction. It is built with cordwood masonry, round and unique. We are a working 225 acre organic farm and homestead that grows much of our own food. You will love our friendly animals, volunteers and miles of hiking trails. This is a off grid solar powered cabin with an outhouse nearby.
The space The Enchanted Cabin has a fire pit and an outdoor sun shower. Firewood is for sale at the wood stand by the fire pit for $10 a bundle. Kindling and fire starter are provided complimentary. We will also have seasonal items for sale which you can inquire about when you book. Through our passion for excellent seasonal vegetarian cuisine and our love for our farm animal friends, we hope to be an inspiring example of sustainable homesteading.
The cabin has minimal water with very low pressure for washing dishes and showering but does not have drinking water. Be sure to bring your own. Containers can be filled up at a sink behind our barn, however this is well water and not treated in any way. We drink this water but we are not supposed to serve it to the public without chlorinating it. The 5 gallon jugs provided for washing dishes and filling camp shower bag can be refilled at the barn. Msg us and we’ll show you.
This is a rustic cabin located deep in the forest and you might see small creatures, like mice or chipmunks, or insects. If you are afraid of insects or small forest creatures don’t book!
Both being avid outdoor enthusiasts, we enjoy encouraging people to reconnect with nature and the food they are consuming by experiencing our farm and forest.
The bathroom is a Porta potty. Unfortunately we had to remove our quaint outhouses due to health dept regulations in Albany county. Guest access Ample parking for 4 cars guests are allowed to explore the farm and hiking trails guests aren't allowed to enter any enclosure with animals
Other things to note Minimal solar electric system depends on sunlight to recharge. Be frugal with your usage. There is also minimal water capacity as it is an off grid camp kitchen. The toilet is a Porta potty about 50 feet away There is a small propane water heater for heating water for the outdoor camp shower and fur doing dishes.
Fully equipped off grid kitchen with propane stove top on counter.

Great experience, would love to stay here again. Cute spot in an ideal location. The farm has a lot of land and camp grounds. Also in a good spot to go to the catskills or the ADK. The cabin had all you needed: cooler, cooking ware, utensils, outlets. Primitive water setup, but that's fine.
This beautiful cabin was literally perfect for our stay. It was a beautiful cabin and the land was so fun to explore. The animals were out and amazing to see!
We really look forward to this stay every year! We love the cabin so much and the weather was great. As long as we are able to have a fire and commune with nature, we are so happy. Thank you so much for your hospitality!
By far the sweetest little cabin we've ever booked
Me and my friends choose a cabin upstate every year to spend our birthdays together and we're artists so we take the time to recharge and inspire our creative juices. This was our fourth year and the enchanted cabin was the best place we've booked so far for this trip. After our first night, we woke up to a beautiful snowy morning and the view from inside the cabin was unreal. Getting a 360 view from all the windows speckled with the glass bottles was a true delight. The heater was perfect and worked so impressively well. The owner was available and responsive for any of our needs. The cherry on top was visiting the farm and having Bia (the pup) give us a tour of the goats, horse, donkey, and more. We'd love to return and we're inspired to volunteer to help with any future builds!
