Very easy process, access and communication with the host. A lovely, comfortable place to stay, with many amenities, including tons of coffee options, which we really appreciated! We were very busy visiting our daughter at college so didn't have a lot of time to spend in the house, but when we did it was extremely comfortable and sparking clean. Would stay there again for sure.

This is a comfortable and well-provisioned home, that is walking distance to the lake and close to restaurants, old town, and stores.Note that the gas-log fire place in the living room does not appear to be in working order. Also, the switch for the garage exterior lights is located oddly in the bathroom.

Quiet Holiday Weekend

House was clean and would have been comfortable however the furnace wasn’t working and the temperature was in the 50’s making it much too cold. I informed the owner after the first night and they explained that the gas company would have to come out, but that it was a holiday weekend. After two nights I couldn’t take the cold any longer so I cut my vacation short. The owner than had the audacity to charge me for 3 nights, even though I was only there for two, without heat! Never again!

Thank you for your feedback. I sincerely apologize that the furnace issue impacted your stay. As soon as you reported the problem, I contacted the gas company right away, but since it was a holiday weekend, service was delayed and unfortunately out of my control. The issue was resolved the same day you checked out a little over 24 hours from you reporting the concern. You originally booked six nights (Aug 30–Sept 4) and stayed two nights and checked out at 2:00 pm on Sept 1st (Aug 30–Sept 1). I refunded you for the remaining unused nights in good faith. On the day you left, the outdoor temperature was 77°F and the home temperature was 69°F. I understand that coming from Florida, cooler temperatures can feel uncomfortable, and I regret that it affected your experience. I always strive to provide a comfortable stay for all my guests and will continue to improve so that situations like this are handled as quickly as possible. Thank you again for your feedback.
