This was a great house. Very clean and large enough for our party. Hot tub worked well and was clean. We didn’t need to communicate with the host so I can’t speak to the responsiveness. We would definitely stay again.
This is a do over. Home was exactly as stated in description. Stocked with all we needed to cook with. Grill was great. Check out was the easiest we have ever experienced. Looking forward to spending time with family again at this location.
This home was perfect for my trip with my wife and friends. Was a comfortable size with a great porch and open windows to see the Mountain View. Also was close to downtown Asheville for us to go shopping and enjoy the local food. Will be staying here again!

We are so glad you enjoyed your stay with us! We look forward to welcoming you back!
The house was very clean. We enjoyed the electric Clavinova piano. That and the fire pit were the selling points for us. If we get another chance to see Biltmore again this will be the house we will stay in.

We are so glad you enjoyed your stay! We would be happy to host you anytime!
This house and the host were incredible. Lots of room and everything you need. Easy to get to, not far from Asheville downtown or Biltmore. Highly recommend this house and we will definitely be booking again. Driveway is a little tricky when pulling in but once you do it next time it is fine.
Host was very responsive to my messages.
We had a wonderful stay at Mountain Melody for a few days over Thanksgiving break. The house had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The downstairs space was perfect for my teens. They enjoyed the privacy. We visited Biltmore, The Grove Park Inn and the Sierra Nevada brewery. All were easy drives from the house. Being able to bring the dog was an added bonus.and much appreciated.
The house was beautiful and clean. Plenty of space for everyone. The house is at the top of a very steep driveway. It was a little nerve-racking for a driver from a flat state! Overall I would recommend this house.
We only stayed one night, as we were driving to the beach. We left wishing we were staying longer. The place is very clean, layed out incredibly well, updated nicely, and the downstairs is awesome for hanging out. The bathroom downstairs is one of the most amazing I have ever seen. Highly recommend!!!!

Disliked: Check-in, listing accuracy
5 PM check in as cleaning ladies were still there. They were complaining that they only had a couple of hours to clean a 3 story house.Trash bins were FULL at our arrival. Upon 5pm check in, I opened the hot tub to see murky water with chemicals on top. There was a layer of oil on the water. I contacted the host and they responded quickly with a bold lie. He assured me that he changed the water that day and did the chemicals himself. I own a hot tub. There was zero evidence that the tub had been drained. Zero. I know what it looks like when you dump chemicals into dirty water. We did not use the hot tub as it looked to be a biohazard. Owner offered 75 for the inconvenience. Then stated that his technician okayed it after first telling me he was personally the one that treated it. The cleaning ladies were holding hot tub sanitizer in their hands as they were walking in and out of the house. I did NOT notice tools or a screwdriver, as one is needed to remove the panel to drain the tub. Please tell me why you would need so many chemicals to dump in clean water? AND you were able to fill it and heat it to 105 by 5pm??? Absolutely amazing. THIS IS SARCASM. I’m only writing all this because I’m genuinely upset at being lied to. Oh, and all the cameras are not cool. Please fix things in the home instead of leaving notes all over the house. If you actually fix the toilet, you won’t need to post instructions on how to flush. Also had to replace propane in firepit.

Hello, I want to clarify that this statement is inaccurate. We promptly offered to send our certified technician to inspect and verify the hot tub during your stay, but that offer was declined. We made every effort to address your concerns and ensure everything was in proper working order. Immediately following your departure, our technician inspected the hot tub and confirmed—with photos—that it was functioning correctly and the water quality was fully within standards. It’s unfortunate that you chose not to allow us to verify this during your stay, as doing so would have resolved the matter quickly. This review does not reflect the actual condition of the home or the responsiveness of our team. We never appreciate falsely based reviews when all efforts of ours are denied especially when we meet you with refunds despite knowing the quality of the hot tub that was your main concern.
We met up with family for a Christmas celebration immediately after Christmas. We had 10 people, 2 dogs and stayed 5 nights. The house is lovely and was perfect for our purposes. The gathering room and kitchen were great for our group. There were a couple of minor issues and the property manager responded quickly. A couple of things I wish I had paid better attention to and feel I should bring it to the attention of future renters (this is my fault- not the fault of the listing). This house IS on the side of a mountain. The road is steep and narrow to get up there, and the driveway is a bit treacherous. It should be fine for most AWD vehicles - but we were in a Mercedes Sprinter 12-passenger van, which is RWD. It was winter and rained much of the time. The tires spun quite a bit getting up the driveway (which has some sharp turns). So just be sure that your vehicle is appropriate. Particularly in winter. We would have been in trouble had it snowed. Second, we loved that we were able to bring our dogs, but there was not a great place to walk them up by the house. We managed, but it was not ideal. Other than those two issues, we recommend the house and would stay there again. We would just come in a different season or choose a different vehicle, and leave our dogs at home.
