Kelsey and her husband have a wonderful cabin. We stay in VRBOs several times a year and have recently stayed in Alaska and on the beach in SC. Kelsey’s cabin has a wonderful view of the Great Smoky Mountains and the cabin accommodated my party of 6, who ranged in age from 3 to 84. We loved the largely single level living and hot tub. It’s a great place and thank you for the wonderful time.
Kelsey was very informative and very helpful with any questions we had. The view from the back deck was wonderful. The cabin was beautiful. We will definitely be back!!
Wonderful, cozy mountain-side cabin that well suited our family of eight. Hosts were extremely responsive and accommodating. The home was even appointed with holiday decor to make our stay all the more special. Highly recommend.
A beautiful cabin with an amazing view. Easily accessible via paved road and gravel driveway. Open floor plan feels very roomy and not at all crowded. Cabin was decorated for Christmas which made it feel very warm and inviting. Especially enjoyed the mountain views available from a large portion of the house as well as the porch and outdoor areas that felt very private despite having other cabins nearby. The host was very accommodating and quick to answer any and all questions as well.
We came with our twin 3 year old boys and our friends who have a 7 and a 4 year old. The place was incredibly well kept, and the view is absolutely phenomenal. It is an easy 15 minute drive to downtown Bryson City. Kelsey was also very easy to communicate with through the process. Highly recommend!
The view was the masterpiece, and the cabin provided a warm place to rest and regroup. With a chill in the air, nothing is better than a real fireplace and a chance to escape everyday life. This is the perfect place to do just that! The cabin had everything we needed, was clean, and comfortable. Would definitely go back.
I really enjoyed our stay and the views were absolutely breathtaking. Our host maintained contact throughout our stay to insure we had everything we needed.Overall it was a great experience!
The cabin is located close enough to downtown Bryson City, but far enough away to feel like you’re on a mountain getaway! The home was clean and decorated for Christmas, which was a nice touch! Kelsey was responsive and easy to work with! We had a blast on the Polar Express. We would love to stay again!
Beautiful home with stunning views. Seamless check in instructions. Home is perfectly located near downtown Bryson City and the GSMR. Home was clean with all the amenities needed. Would recommend 10/10. We also appreciated the clear communication with the owners and availability to contact them as well if needed.
Overlook Point was perfect for our family get away. For years we have started the Christmas season with a trip to Western North Carolina. This was our first time renting a house instead of using a hotel. It was wonderful! The layout of the house allowed our family to spend quality time together without being couped up in a single room. The kitchen was well equipped, so we were able to enjoy homemade kettle corn while watching Christmas movies. Beautiful location that was private and quiet. Loved being there. were able to enjoy homemade jettle ctn w
House was beautiful, cozy and everything described in the listing. Very comfortable for 5 friends. Spectacular views. Owner was an amazing host from start to finish, especially gracious helping us out during hurricane Helene. She went above and beyond to help us navigate the situation. She even went to the extent of speaking to our family members back home, and checked on us to make sure we arrived home safely. We can't wait to go back! 5 Stars is not enough for this VRBO!
The cabin was great, the owner was so friendly in all our interactions. We had some trouble with the Internet the first night there and they quickly worked on resolving the issue. Bryson City was a cute little town and it's only a 20 minute drive to Deep Creek. The kids had fun with the loft and the views from the deck were amazing. We all agreed we were so glad to stay in a less developed area than somewhere like Gatlinburg. Would 100% recommend for a trip to the Smokies.
Our family truly enjoyed our weekend getaway in this beautiful home. It has all the amenities you need and more! From coffee on the back porch overlooking the Great Smoky Mountains to evening wine at the fire pit or the hot tub, it was simply wonderful. And the homeowners reach out to assure you have everything you need - the communication was great. We would definitely return to this home if we do another trip to this area.

About the host
Hosted by Kelsey Nowack
The Summit at Lookout Point is our only rental property. As frequent travelers this has been the only house we've rented that offered clear mountain views from a hot tub, a nearby town that has a small town feel but offers plenty to do, and a classic mountain cabin feel. We hope visitors love this slice of paradise in the sky as much as we do!
Why they chose this property
We stayed at this house as guests several times over the years and always had "if this were our house...." conversations every time we visited. We love the town of Bryson City and all it has to offer. The location of the house is perfect if you are wanting to stay busy during your vacation. The major selling point of the house is the expansive, spectacular views of the mountains. With plenty of property space the house sits quietly on the top of a ridge so nothing stands between you and a picture worthy landscape.
What makes this property unique
The unbeatable, unrestricted mountain view of the Great Smoky National Park you can see from the living room, back porch, or hot tub. Close to downtown Bryson City. Quiet, gated community with safe and paved roads for easy accessibility.
