We enjoyed our stay. Very beautiful cabin and a very beautiful view. I would recommend this cabin to anyone wanting a nice cabin to stay in with a beautiful view. This cabin has everything you need for a great stay.
We had a great time at this cabin! The host, Max, was great and very quick with communication. The road to get to and from the cabin was a little rough in the rain, but definitely doable. Hope to stay again one day!
We really enjoyed our stay at Sunset Point. The cabin is very charming and has everything you need for preparing meals. Relaxing in the hot tub with a beautiful view of the mountains was a great bonus! Max was a wonderful host and was quick to respond with any questions I had. Wonderful memories were made on our stay at Sunset Point!!
Absolutely fabulous home in the Smokey Mountains. The view was spectacular and house was perfect for a weekend with friends.
This is a very special place, definitely a 10!
The property was exactly as pictured. Max is a great host. We were fortunate enough to do an early check in, and communication with Max was never an issue. The property is located close to white water rafting, ziplining adventures and centrally located to other activities.
Our stay was amazing. The location is perfect, and the views are amazing. The house was very clean. And communication with the owner is very responsive and quick. We will turn this into our anniversary trip every year!!!

Happy to hear that you two had a nice trip for your anniversary!
Beautiful property with the most amazing view! We loved it! The host was super easy to get a hold of and responds very quickly to questions. The home is definitely tucked away deep in the woods and the gravel driveway is steep so we were glad we had a bigger vehicle but overall it was a great experience and a beautiful place.
This is a wonderful VRBO! If you're looking for a place close enough to the national park to make day trips, but far enough away to have some privacy then this is the place for you. The view is amazing, the house is adorable and the hot tub is a great place to relax after a long day at the park. Great communication with the host also!
The pictures do not do this cabin and its spectacular view justice. The cabin was perfect in every way. Cozy living area with warm fireplace. Comfortable beds, perfect water pressure in the showers. Kitchen fully stocked and my Favorite... sitting in those rocking chairs being transformed into a peaceful trans while being mesmerized by that view. Sunrise, sunset, rain storm and in between mixed the the colors of the Fall. My heart was at Peace. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Thanks so much for sharing these amazing photos! And you are so right, taking in the view from the rocking chairs is truly transformative and refreshing! Looking forward to my own visit in a couple of weeks.
None of the showers had any water pressure. The worst shower i ever had. Also the toaster oven made a a horrible sound while in use

Thanks for your feedback! And sorry to hear that you encountered a few issues. The toaster oven is being replaced, so that will no longer be a concern. As for water pressure, the majority of our guests have found it to be more than adequate. However, we will do our best to improve the experience for future guests!
We LOVED this home! It is exactly as pictured and the amenities are better than expected - the beds are super comfy and the towels are great! We had 6 adults on a family vacation and everyone loved the porch and stunning view. We had some questions when we arrived and the host answered us even though it was pretty late.
We also made good use of the hot tub, pool table, and charcoal grill. Note, the road up is mostly gravel, so make sure you build up a little speed as you go, especially for one of the hairpin turns toward the top, to get around the curve. Also bring mosquito spray! We would definitely stay here again.

Thanks so much for your kind review! We hope to host you again soon!
The road to get to the house is gravel but well maintained. Upon arrival the check in was easy and we quickly settled in for a relaxing weekend. The house was very clean and the gas logs made for a cozy setting for my family and I as we lounged in the living area. The next morning the view was amazing to wake up to. This is the perfect mountain house location. We went by the Nantahala Outdoor Center and also went “Gem Mining” at the store just down the hill from the house. Our toddler loved the weekend getaway and we’ll definitely book here again. House was clean, check in was easy, and the hosts were very accommodating/easy to communicate with.

Thanks for the nice review! So glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay!
The host, Max, is wonderful. He responds very quickly and he is very detailed. The home has a cozy cottage mountain feel and has been tastefully renovated. It was very clean. The linens and towels were of very nice quality. They provide everything in the kitchen that you need and the cookware, ect is nice. We had fun playing pool too. Oh, I have not mentioned the picturesque view…so beautiful! The hot tub was a must for my husband who is an AT thru hiker. This rental was a surprise for his birthday to regroup, clean his clothes, dry out his gear, have a home cooked meal, soak in the hot tub and spend time with family. The layout is perfect and can host 8 people easily. Absolutely no complaints.

Thank you for the nice review! We’re glad that you and your husband had a nice and relaxing stay!
Sunset Point did not disappoint!
This was our second time at sunset point for our anniversary. Both times we were very satisfied with our stay! The host was friendly, professional, and responded quickly! The cabin was clean and comfortable. Cozy enough for 2, yet big enough to sleep 8, and the gas fireplace made it even more cozy! The kitchen has all the necessities to cook and eat with. The beds are very comfortable. There are plenty of board games and a pool table as well as a hot tub.... View from the hot tub is breathtaking!
There are things to do nearby; Bryson City is a short drive and a cute little town. You can ride the great smokey railroad or take a beautiful scenic drive on the "road to nowhere", which at the end has a very cool tunnel (I recommend)! Also, the gem mine at the bottom of the hill was a good time (if you like finding rocks!). It's a great place to go to relax and get away. Looking forward to our next visit to sunset point!

Thanks for this nice review! We’re so glad that you decided to come back to Sunset Point for the 2nd time. Happy anniversary!
This house is up about one mile on a well maintained gravel road. When you get to the the house you are rewarded with a view that is beyond compare. Three King bedrooms with three full baths was terrific for our party with no arguing over what couple gets which bedroom. The upstairs room does have a two twin beds as well. Fire pit outside was super cool and the gas log inside was very easy. Kitchen was well stocked and the charcoal grill was also nice. The hot tub worked well and has a perfect position to take in the view and sunset. Enough towels for the showers and the hot tub. Key pad entry was also a help. Parking area was enough to hold cars for three couples with room for more if necessary. Local attractions are nice with decent restaurants nearby in Bryson City and Franklin. It was too cold for most of the outdoor activities but I will come back in the summer or fall to try the whitewater rafting and mountain biking nearby.

About the host
Hosted by Max
When I’m not spending time outdoors (fishing, hiking, camping) or traveling, I am staying busy with exciting projects. One of these projects has been renovating this beautiful mountain vacation home with my wife. We hope you’ll enjoy staying here as much as we do!
Why they chose this property
We love the peaceful serenity of this neighborhood. You’ll be close enough to all the main attractions, while far enough away to be perfectly secluded.
What makes this property unique
Many properties with mountain views are perched on a cliff with little room to walk around, and they often have other buildings / lights in their view. Our property boasts the magnificent mountain view (totally free of buildings / lights) AND a large backyard w/ firepit. It’s like camping in luxury!
