SIMPSON BAY YACHT CLUB NEW VERY LARGE STUDIO CONDO 872 SQFT IN THE HEART OF SXM!

Having owned a much larger villa on the island for 23 years which I rented to a lovely and respectful group of guests, I recently sold it (too large for me to handle). It rated consistently 5/5 reviews. If you want to read any, I will share with you. Not wanting to leave the island, I bought a smaller studio condo in the upscale "center of everything" complex in the prestigious Simpson Bay Yacht Club in Sint Maarten/Dutch side of the island. Here it is!

I renovated, redesigned and replaced everything from the appliances (large and small), the decor, the lighting everywhere, furniture, bath and deck amenities. My open concept studio condo includes newly installed air conditioning system and fans with state of the art effectiveness, excellent WIFI, large screen Smart TV, new bathroom facilities, new electrical wiring, washer and dryer and dimmable lighting throughout.

My studio is located in the Simpson Bay Yacht Club is a safe, gated community on the Simpson Bay Lagoon with 24/7 guards for privacy/safety, a 2 minute walk to restaurants, medical offices, pharmacy, grocery stores, shoppes, bakeries as well as nightlife, beaches and much more.

Lots of storage for your clothes and bits and pieces.
All new decor and appliances.
Fully equipped spacious kitchen.
Washer and dryer
Iron and Ironing board
Elevator
Blackout drapes designed for sleeping.
Assigned parking
Supportive and responsive manager nearby
And, so much more.

Lots of French and Italian clothes shopping. The restaurants - gourmet capital of the Caribbean, French, Italian, North and South American and more. I found this condo in the best community in Simpson Bay and have provided, I believe, everything needed for me or my guests to stay without worries. Groceries might be all you need. Since the Simpson Bay Yacht Club is in the center of everything, you might not need a car although if touring is your preference to the French side for other restaurants and shopping, a car is a good idea. I have an assigned parking space outside.

Our island is fascinating, French and Dutch, gracious, multicultural (mostly from the U.S., Canada, certainly French and Dutch visitors as well as Western Europe) a welcoming, colourful island. Many languages spoken.

My local long time manager (Sylma) will be waiting for you to give you your keys as well as show you around and answer any questions you might have. Thereafter, both my manager and I are available if you need anything.

My "swing chair" on my deck is perfect for morning coffee or a glass of something delicious under the stars at night - or on your iPad or laptop. Island flowers, palm trees, aqua water and the boats cruising through the lagoon as well as the well lit and colourful bridge at night. No traffic noises or shouting - peaceful for sleep or relaxing.

We were very happy with the way we were looked after from check in to check out.Our contact person at the condo was an absolute pleasure to deal with. She looked after us very quickly as if we were her only clients,even though we weren’t. Can’t say enough good things about her. The condo was , we can say one of the cleanest ones we’ve stayed at. It was better than the pictures on vrbo. Everything was exactly as described. It’s located with over 70 bars and restaurants within a10 minute walk. We stayed for a month and never felt the need to rent a car. We highly recommend renting this unit.We are looking forward to going back at some point.

Great location good stay

Host was very informative, accommodating and very responsive. Went out of her way to have property manager get me a hairdryer. Location is in a wonderful area with lots of things to do near by. Only thing needed was a firm pillow.

Best Caribbean getaway

This is the place to stay in St. Maarten. Beautiful gated studio condo centrally located in Simpson Bay. If you don’t have a car, Simpson bay is the best place to stay as it walking distance to swim at Simpson Bay as well as having the most places to eat and drink. The owner, Judith, recommended an inexpensive car rental and we were able to explore the island. We are definitely coming back next year!

Exceptional

To say this unit is perfect would be an understatement. Remodelled studio with a great amount of space, good kitchen and bathroom. Washer and Dryer were a plus as was the chair swing on the balcony overlooking the awesome lap pool. The community itself is gated with 24 hour security, right in the center of Simpson Bay with easy access to great restaurants and night life.

An Excellent Choice

This property is as advertised! Very clean, updated apartment, modern kitchen, and very quiet. The location is about a 5 minute walk to the bar at the Simpson Bay Yacht Club where you can view the beautiful private yachts, coming and going. Many great restaurants are located nearby. The apartment is on the yacht basin, a 7 minute walk to the beaches. The grocery mart is across the street.The owner is gracious, and will provide extensive information about the area, great dining, and places to visit. This is a great choice for a couple's getaway.We had a great time and would return for another visit.

Perfect Location!

This property was exactly as it shows on VRBO! A very cute studio set up. Even thought the bedroom was in the same space as the living room and kitchen, it was tastefully separated by shelving. Judith and her property manager was attentive for our needs and responded quickly. The view from the balcony was peaceful and quiet, facing the pool area. The location of this property was perfect! We did rent a car to visit the french side of the island but you could easily walk to anything you need from this location.

Horrendous experience STAY AWAY!!!

The owner of this unit has been harassing us and has accused of making her cooktop inoperable. The Cooktop NEVER worked during our stay AND her property manager is in full agreement with us and not her. The first attempt at using it, it would not work and the property manager could not get it to work either. Beyond that the clothes dryer never worked and we were told this the first day of our stay. An electrician came the next day and confirmed that the island has frequent power surges which likely caused an electronic fault damaging the cooktop and perhaps the dryer as well at some point well before our stay. Stay away.

Why they chose this property

I chose this neighbourhood for my guests and for me. It is in the center of so very much --restaurants, shopping, nightlife, grocery store, beaches, medical clinic and pharmacy, The main road of Simpson Bay that takes you to the French side, the 37 island beaches and more are just outside our security guard station. You can walk to all of those attractions nearby or rent a car (designated parking space included) to explore the island and the Dutch and French sides. The best location on the island in my opinion and I've owned and been on the island for 23 years!
