Upon stepping inside the front door of Inspiration Point, you will be greeted by a wall of windows and awe-inspiring view. Your stay at Inspiration Point will provide you with a memorable experience, indeed!

Inspiration Point is often enjoyed as a delightful girl friends' getaway in a luxurious country home away from home. Or, many find it a perfect setting for an intimate couples retreat. Families with children come to enjoy the river from sun-up to sun-down. In the evenings you are still 'at the river' in luxury, peace and quiet. The large covered deck with hot tub, outdoor fireplace, gas and smoker grills offers an out-door experience for you and your family -- under the stars while having all the comforts of home in comfortable king-size beds. Renters must be 25 years or older. Your dogs are welcomed but you must notify the property manager and there is a one time fee per dog of $25.

Bring your boat or jet ski! If your family, or that special someone, loves boating, fishing or, skiing or just enjoys basking in the Texas sun, you'll be 5 minutes from Hamm Creek Park and boat launch on the Brazos River. Our property allows for easy boat parking, too.

Spend a couple nights or a week or two.

If you allow yourself the luxury of time, Inspiration Point will melt away all traces of stress as you relish each moment gazing from high above, over hundreds of acres of green space, farm land and Texas mesas surrounding the Brazos River.

And, oh my, the opportunity for spectacular sunrises and sunsets from the spacious covered deck will be the only reason to consider 'time' while at Inspiration Point. You will set your clock by the beauty that only nature can provide.

Our guests enjoy a fully furnished kitchen with an array of staples. Bring your own food and drink preferences and make yourselves at home. Prepare your meals in the kitchen or at the gas or smoker grills out on the covered deck. Eat at the dining table situated in front of the wall-of-windows, or take your meals out onto the lovely deck for a luxurious country picnic-in-the-sky.

If you can bear to pull yourselves away from Inspiration Point to look for other things to do, there are a variety of small towns just a short country drive away. Glen Rose, Texas offers an abundance of antiquing, unique restaurants, Fossil Rim Wildlife Park, Dinosaur Valley, and more. If you prefer a lake to the river, Lake Whitney and Lake Granbury are also a short drive from Inspiration Point. Another excellent choice would be to visit the historic town square in Granbury, Texas. Should you long for live theatre and think you're too far away from big city life to find such entertainment, set your worries to rest. The Plaza Theatre in Cleburne is a no-traffic, 25-minute country drive north of Inspiration Point.

I’ve had a couple of guests asked why I charge a refundable deposit in addition to the VRBO insurance.
The insurance provided by VRBO is for damage only! The refundable deposit is for additional cleaning if required. I have managed Inspiration Point since 2013 and I have had to keep the full amount once and $25 of it twice for the cleaning service. If you have any questions please let me know!
