I'm glad you enjoyed your stay at Greystone Retreat Jeff!
We happened to see that you took the opportunity to build a great snowman on the hill and that there was some tobogganing activities as well. It's always wonderful when guests enjoy all the property has to offer. I'm sorry you didn't stay either -- but, the way it's been, you might still be here! LOL
Hope to see you again
HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
This place was perfect for our family getaway. Lots of room for everyone and the property was beautiful. Very well stocked. Susan was very easy to contact. We hope to return again.

Perfect location for hiking Bruce Trail! Spacious common area with a fabulous view, very well equipped kitchen, and everyone had their own room. We're so happy you enjoyed your central location for hiking the Bruce Trail, Robin. We'd be honored to have you 'pass the word' to your hiking buddies :)
Hope to see you again
Very spacious, clean and well equipped home. We enjoyed kayaking, paddle boarding, canoeing and hiking on their well maintained trails. It was absolutely stunning and fun for our whole family!!
Our family booked the Greystone for our son's wedding. All of the groomsmen stayed here the night before the wedding. They all raved about how amazing this home is.
We loved every minute of our stay at Greystone Retreat! It was the perfect size for our special family gathering of 12 adults. Everyone was very comfortable and had fun in the water, playing board games or reading in the cottage, and hiking on the trails. We wouldn't hesitate to come back again sometime!
A truly fabulous property, maintained to the highest level of excellence…while being homey and livable. Our whole extended family - kids, teens, parents and grandparents, felt comfortable here.
The location was great! We had a very quiet relaxing time. It was wonderful to be water front. I have mobility issues so getting right down to the water was a bit tricky. But we were able to enjoy the waterfront views. The stars were spectacular! Overall very clean and comfortable. Very nice stay.
Our Greystone stay was an excellent family getaway. The cottage was exceptional and the grounds were beautiful and well maintained. They had everything we needed and more. So much to do and enjoy at the cottage and in the local area. The kids had a blast, they were never bored. Swimming, ping pong, kayaking, hiking, golf, fires beside the bay at night - I can't say enough nice things about this place. If you are looking for a fun family getaway, this is the place.

We are so happy to hear of your great experience at Greystone Retreat
Everything you describe is exactly how we want our guests to enjoy when they stay with us!
We hope to see you again!
We had an amazing time at this beautiful cottage. The pictures do not do the place justice as the cottage itsself, as well as the location and outside environment, were absolutely beautiful and perfect for our family of 14 that stayed there. We are looking forward to returning!
There was no need for anything but your clothes and food. Supplied the necessities.

That's our claim to fame Ann!
No 'moving' in and out like most cottage rentals! Many of our guests have arrived by plane so having everything supplied saves on additional expenses too.
Glad you enjoyed your stay! Hope to see you again
We thoroughly enjoyed our snowy long weekend getaway during which we were supremely warm and comfortable relaxing inside the cottage with the ample room proportions and wood-burning fireplaces, and we also had fun being active outside in the adjacent nature reserve, where we went cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and tobogganing. Very much recommend!

So glad you enjoyed your stay at Greystone Retreat, Catherine. It certainly was a "real" winter this year! Perfect for so many outdoor activities. Unfortunately, snow was way too deep to access outdoor firepit but you did have the fireplaces :)
We look forward to seeing you again

We have stayed at various cottages & hotels over the years. I would like to say 1. The place has awesome views 2. The property managers have thought about everything that you would need to make it a memorable vacation 3. Lastly it is perfectly located for taking up any outdoor activities.
Would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

About the host
Hosted by Greystone Retreat, Annex and/or Bunkie (Manager: Susan)
My husband and I live in our retirement home next door to the Retreat and enjoy the gorgeous waterfront daily.
We both enjoy a variety of hobbies (bird watching, hiking, cycling, gardening, woodworking, etc) and are kept busy maintaining our 430 acre wildlife/nature reserve across the road from the Retreat.
Each year we develop a 'winter project' as well starting all our annual flowers and vegetables from seed in our greenhouse.
Why they chose this property
When this property originally, and conveniently, came on the market in May 2000, we bought it for easier access to next door.
Then, after we'd invested substantially in upgrading the house interior and the lawns/gardens, we were inspired to offer it as a vacation rental property.
Susan built a website, uploaded it and we shared the property with our first guests from England the August long weekend of 2000. We have been renting it ever since.
We truly enjoy meeting the wide variety of guests who have rented from us over the decades ... and sharing our wildlife/nature reserve with them
What makes this property unique
The views (sun and moon rises over the Bay; everchanging skies and water) The peace, quiet and tranquility of the area The wildlife/nature reserve across the road that we proudly steward
Imagine everyone sitting quietly sitting around a campfire under a clear starry sky listening to the waves lapping on the shoreline ... there a very few comparable experiences of nature at its finest
