Beautiful home, surrounded by live oaks and close to the beach. Pet friendly!

A 3 minute walk to the beach! The Big Sandpile was designed and built by a local Charleston artist. His artwork, along with other local artwork, is displayed throughout the house. The house has an open floor plan with vaulted ceilings, and large windows with beautiful, natural light and views of the Palm and Live Oak trees. The house is close to walking and biking trails, and sits on the 2nd hole of Plantation Golf Course.

The property is very well equipped for a pleasant and easy vacation. Enjoy your time on a secluded lot where deer roam throughout the day and the trees provide ample privacy. You'll be a short walk to the beach access, walking and biking trails and the local hangout (with excellent food!), Whaley's.

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights
*Wash all used towels. Leave the last load drying in the dryer. (Pls EMPTY THE LINT catch after each load.) *Pile used linens (sheets/pillow cases ONLY) in the laundry room. Do not remake beds.
* Remove YOUR food from the refrigerator. * Clean and empty the grill if you used it. *Please return ALL furniture to its original location.
*Lock all doors EXCEPT the door to the room downstairs. *Please send a message when you leave so I can alert the cleaners. We value all feedback and would appreciate your review.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Smoking and vaping on the property is absolutely forbidden. If you are a smoker, or if anyone in your group smokes, please do not book our house.
Keep bedroom doors closed so rooms will stay cool in summer months. Keep outside doors closed as much as possible so ac does not get overworked.
Leave the house as you found it. Move furniture back to its original location, if moved. Report broken items and any damage immediately.

Summer Escape

What a beautiful home tucked way back on a quiet road on the island. The house was fully, fully stocked and so comfortable! The host was so attentive to my questions, and made us feel very welcomed to their home. We make a yearly trip to Edisto and hope to stay here again.

The Big Sandpile is perfect!

Immediate communication. Beautiful home that was spotless when we walked in. FULLY stocked kitchen! A short walk to the beach. Gorgeous bike path and neighborhood. Our guests totaled 4 humans and our 2 dogs. We had the time of our lives and would recommend this to anyone who needs a beach getaway on Edisto!

This was the most comfortable rental I have ever been in. The king bed in the master was wonderful! It was as comfortable as home! The house was in the best location. It is surrounded by beautiful trees. It was like being in a beautiful coastal forest with the beach just a short walk away. The house was stocked so well!! The house was so clean! The house had numerous outdoor areas. There’s a deck on the front overlooking the palmetto trees and a very nice screened porch on the side! The host was absolutely delightful to work with. She was 100% responsive with her communication to answer all my questions. The luggage lift was so helpful to get all our things up without having to carry them up the stairs. We will definitely be back!!

Gorgeous house in a nice quiet spot

Stayed four nights. House was well supplied with condiments and essentials (tide pods, paper towels, salt and pepper etc). Tons of towels and beach chairs/toys. We went in mid September so what I would call the shoulder season. House was in really good shape and we all enjoyed it immensely. Even in the midday heat we hung out below the house in the shade with a nice breeze rolling through. We even did yoga and kettlebell workouts downstairs and there was plenty of room. House is in a great location - not too far from the beach or from Whaley’s but not so close that we had a lot of strangers walking by. It felt good and tucked in, private. I don’t know when we will be back to Edisto but I would recommend staying here to anyone and I would stay here again.

We stay in at least 5 VRBOs a year and this was by far our favorite! You could tell the owners thought of everything to not just make it a VRBO but making it a home away from home. It had more than you could want with all the kitchen equipment and paper products to last for the 2 weeks we were there. We really enjoyed all the places to hang out in all types of weather, inside and out. We traveled with two dogs and the owners were very welcoming to them, with dog beds and bowls. The location is amazing - very close to the beach and walking distance to Whaleys. Communication with the owners was spectacular with them proactively reaching out when a rain storm was headed our way. Will be back for sure!
