Wonderful Place to Gather with Friends/Family

Beautiful lodge in great location. Plenty of room for everyone and the hot tub and pool were also a plus. Very clean and organized; loved the kitchen and communication with the hosts. Perfect stay!

Pool House Lodge

We had an amazing experience! The pool was great for the days when it got way too cold for hiking in Hocking Hills. The kids got a great kick out of the gnome trail. Plenty of games and puzzles to play with available.

Amazing

We had a great time thought the cabin was amazing a lot to do for the kids and all of us to enjoy our time together. The pool was great. The hot tub was great and all the bathrooms and bedrooms was perfect and I would highly recommend you to friends and family thank you so much.

Absolutely amazing!

Very large open concept floor plan. Clean, well kept home. Beautiful decor. Well thought out for the Christmas family get together. My family made memories and carried on some old traditions. I would highly recommend this property for a large family.

The Perfect Place to Relax and Unwind

We had the most wonderful stay at Pool House Lodge! Everything was perfect from start to finish. We were celebrating a birthday getaway and ended up spending most of our time at the lodge because it was so peaceful and relaxing—the days just flew by. We really enjoyed the hot tubs, the heated pool, and the beautiful surroundings. We also explored some local shops and visited a nearby winery, which made the trip even more special. It was truly a beautiful getaway, and we can’t wait to come back!

Amazing Property!!

What a perfect cabin for our extended family to all gather. You can tell there was so much thought put into every detail from kitchen appliances & games for kids, to noise machines and comfy beds in every bedroom. The hosts were wonderful to work with and provided excellent communication. The view and location of the cabin was perfect, and the little hike was a nice touch for our morning sunrise stroll. This place did not disappoint and we will for sure be back!

Perfect familu cabin trip

Our large crew loved the amenities! The 10 kids were always entertained and the adults enjoyed relaxing. Communication was excellent and a speedy response when we needed maintenance was greatly appreciated. Highlights of our stay were the pool, the fire pit, the hot tub, the board games, the back deck with fireplace, the gnome hiking trail with the provided walking sticks, the 2 sinks and 2 dishwashers and plenty of cozy, modern decor. Thanks for the excellent hospitality! Lots of memories were made!

They truly think of everything!

We were welcomed by a card and a bottle of wine! They think of all the details to make your stay more comfortable and fun! The Christmas decorations and hot chocolate were such a nice touch! Our family of 14, between the ages of 15-24 really enjoyed time in the pool and hot tub! They had so many different games to choose from and we really enjoyed playing them! Having two dishwashers and 3 sets of laundry was amazing! They fully understand what it takes to cook and clean with a big crew! We loved roasting smores outside and having a fire inside as well! The whole family can’t wait to come back again! Thank you!

The Pool House was the cleanest vacation home we have ever stayed in! We did some hiking around the area. The grandkids loved swimming in the pool. The hike through the woods very nice. The fire ring at night was relaxing and the views from the patio were beautiful as we saw some deer. Everyone agreed it was a great place to stay!

Home Away From Home: Perfect place for our family Thanksgiving!!

Our family of 17 comes from three different states and with a growing group of children we find it harder and harder to gather at our parents. This year we tried something different and ended up meeting in Hocking Hocking Hills which was half way for all of us. We were SO GLAD we found Pool House Lodge! It was the perfect home away from home. Beautifully furnished and decorated to relax comfortably. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to make a delicious Thanksgiving dinner! The only thing that would have made it better was a second oven!! The cousins found it hard to stop their games, their swimming, or their fun in the hot tub long enough to come eat. We ventured out as 3 generations to hike the gnome trail. We didn’t know what to expect and after a rain storm the little stream proved challenging for grandma but we got her across! Some of the family took a trip to Ash Cave to experience a piece of Hocking Hills. They loved it! We all slept well and were thankful to find sound machines positioned in every bedroom. The house is a log cabin with lots of high ceilings so noise does travel. We were also delighted to have a management team that was extremely responsive when the fireplace stopped working and some “extras” were needed. 5 stars all around and we definitely recommend and will return!!

Perfect family retreat

Had a fantastic time at the Pool House Lodge this weekend. Perfect layout both outside and inside made it so easy to arrive, setup, and relax. First off, the parking and entry have plenty of space and nice easy ramp that made unloading the cars a breeze. Plenty of counter space inside for food and snacks and tons of space/closets to unpack the room. The rooms were setup with AC and USB power on the night stands which made setup super convenient. The loft layout upstairs is perfect for family with young kids. Either using the bunk beds or the low bed queen. Plus it was easy to move the adults to the basement for late nights which gave plenty of noise isolation for kids trying to sleep upstairs. The living room was huge and comfortable for eight adults to lounge and be near to the kitchen when anyone was cooking. We had an unusually warm day and I’m so glad we did because we got to enjoy the outdoor balcony. What a treat! Hammocks, seating and tables for lounging or games; protected from the elements, and a spectacular view. Speaking of, the gnome trail was a fun and hilly hike of about 0.7 miles. Spotting the gnomes added an extra bit of fun too. Back to the house, the basement was similarly large and accommodating with sleeping and living areas. Living area was great for card games, plus the pool table, foosball, and arcade were great to have some competitive matches. The pool itself is also just right for a family with kids large shallow end with easy stairs and the cover and lock mechanism were a nice way to guarantee no one got in the pool that shouldn’t. Hot tub outside was large as well and could get piping hot but easy to adjust to comfort. Lastly the hosts could not have been more accomadting and helpful for the trip. Starting with the picture-packed “Plan your Stay” page that showed what was in the kitchen and what the local grocery had stocked, extremely quick responses when we had any questions, and follow ups on all the important trip milestones. Will definitely be looking to stay here again.

Annual “Camping” Trip

Our group of friends had an amazing stay at The Pool House Lodge! We are five families, friends for more than 30 years, who have taken a trip together for the past 10 years. The Pool House Lodge was perfect for our group (including kids from 5yo to 18yo) ☺️ There was plenty of space and so many amenities, and the location was beautiful. Double kitchen sinks, dishwashers, and washers and dryers, noise machines, fans, two outdoor hangout spaces, pool, hot tub, fire pit, a closet full of games; it was everything we needed and more! We were easily able to drive to many of the parks/hikes in Hocking Hills, and even found pizza delivery for one of our dinners. Highly recommend this property!

Wonderful Weekend

This home is beautiful and has all of the amenities you could want! The pool was a hit with the kids, and the hot tub was an even bigger hit with the adults. We really enjoyed playing games around the outdoor fireplace every evening. There were also all kinds of personal touches that we really appreciated - starting with an amazing coffee, tea, and hot chocolate bar (including marshmallows!) that was enjoyed by all 12 of us. The kitchen was fully stocked, including 2 sinks and 2 dishwashers! We walked the gnome trail twice - it was so beautiful at this time of year. We had so much fun family time, and it was a trip that we'll remember for a very long time!

Great place for a family reunion

We had a great time. The property was in a rural area with no visible neighbors from the house so we felt like we had tons of privacy. The furnishings and amenities were exactly as described. I like that they let people leave behind unused non-perishable items — that saved us on something we forgot and we paid it forward with laundry detergent! Everything was well-labeled and easy to find & operate. The family now wants to upgrade our fire pit to match this one! Hot tub was awesome. The multiple decks were awesome. And you’d think there would be bugs but no! Never had an issue at all even at night at the fire pit. We didn’t realize when we booked it that there was so much to do in the area. What a delightful surprise! We had an outdoor adventure every day (boating, hiking etc.). The winery was an unexpected find too! Overall we loved it. Great hosts and we would stay there again. We wish we had known a bit earlier what the process would be for check in. I was the person making the arrangements but due to work travel I arrived last and was on a plane when the email arrived with the code. My husband had to call VRBO to figure it out. If we’d known in advance it would come shortly before check in time via email that would have been helpful. If that process had been communicated to me I missed it.

Perfect Large Family Stay

We stayed with our family (19 people) and it was perfect. Plenty of room to spread out. Clean. We ended up not even exploring Hocking Hills because there was so much to do at the house that we stayed there the whole time. The kids loved the pool, gnome hike, and games. Everyone loved it and we would definitely stay again.

Perfect girls getaway

Spending galantines weekend at the Pool House Lodge was an exceptional experience for a Winter getaway with my closet gals! We enjoyed our stay in robes & pajamas to just chillax and enjoy the hot tub during 20 degree temperatures and the onsite massage the owner arranged with local therapists was ideal! The accommodations, well designed & maintained, made for the best night of sleep I’ve had in months! The views from the cabin allowed moments of zen while sipping from the well stocked coffee bar. Pizza delivery made our game night fun & fulfilling. Definitely suggesting a return with for my annual sorority meetup - perfectly sized for the 13 of us!
