Our guest home has 4 bedrooms and and big basement filled with games for all and a second full (and mega large) bathroom We are centrally located only 5 minutes from Millersville University and less than 15 minutes from the action in downtown Lancaster. Our location is perfect for those wanting to be around Amish country farms, as well as those looking to go to great places, such as Dutch Wonderland, HersheyPark, American Music Theater, Sight & Sound, Outlets & so much more!!

The house had a strong smell of sewage which continued to get worse over our 2 night stay. I called the host who was unavailable and received a call back from her young daughter 4 hrs later. She wanted to have Lowes deliver air freshener to mask the smell but we had already tried air fresheners and perfume which did not work so I told her I didn't feel that would do any good. Also the basement bathroom door would not close so it had to be propped shut when in use. Although compared to the sewage smell that was minor.This is my first time using Vrbo and it was not a pleasant experience. I do not feel I should be charged full dollar for an unacceptable house. I also do not feel that this situation was handled properly and has made me hesitant to use Vrbo again. The hostess said we unplugged a plug in air freshener which we did to use the plug but that one plug in air freshener would not have made a difference to mask the terrible stench of sewage. I am sorry I had to give such a low rating but would not want others to have this experience.

Clean and cozy

This was the perfect spot for us to relax after the PA Renn Fair. The kids had tons of fun running around and playing games in the basement. We all slept like babies.

There was the worse smell in the house. My daughter works for a company that does black mold cleaning and she said that it exactly what the smell is. I talked to the host and she told me they pumped the septic tank and tore the tile floor out and painted the floors and walls. She acted as if I was making all this up but trust me I have 5 witnesses that can tell you their story. It was late when we arrived and I was tired from driving and she and VRBO told me we can leave right then and get a motel . I refused because we were not going to a motel. I have medical supplies that have to be refrigerated and an insulated container that has to be frozen to keep my supplies cold all day. The refrigerator did not have a freezer. The house was much smaller than the description. There was not enough seating in the living room for 6 people. The basement was the worst smelling place in the house and no over head lighting in the play area but that was ok because the kids couldn’t stand the smell. We slept in the house but we rose early and left for the entire day and came back only to sleep. If the host did all she said she did, septic tank, tile and paint, she had to know about the smell before we arrived. She had deodorizer either on or in front of fans blowing in every room.Why would you do all this if there was nothing wrong. Right now I don’t think I’ll ever use VRBO again, this experience will last me and my family a lifetime. If you do something bad, people will tell everyone they k
