The house was charming and surprisingly larger than anticipated. The space is perfect for small or large gatherings. Waking up to sounds of birds and the flowing creek was delightful. Hosts were very responsive when i had questions and comments. Appreciated the good communication and ease of....
The cabin had everything we needed. We had a family reunion and we had so much space for everyone. We enjoyed hanging out and visiting on the deck. I loved the sound of the babbling creek.pictures did not do it justice. It's very warm and inviting
Beautiful home surrounded by nature. Spacious with perfect accommodations for adults traveling with small children. We stayed the weekend of my daughter’s wedding at the Drumore Estate and it was fifteen minutes from the venue. There are some winding roads to get to the location but the beautiful scenery is worth the drive. I highly recommend for a family vacation in the Lancaster area!
We just returned from our fourth annual stay at Creekside Cottage. Check-in was easy and the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. The place is always clean, the beds comfortable, and there's plenty of space, both indoor and outdoor, to relax and enjoy. Thanks to Tara and Laura!
A wonderful, secluded cabin in the woods with a babbling creek and tree frogs to keep you company. Our family found it very comfortable here and the surrounding rural area was tranquil. Our hosts had provided everything we needed.
This house is beautiful! Such an awesome set-up and the ideal spot for individuals that like the outdoors. Very spacious, homey vibe! The wrap around porch was so nice to hangout on!
We had an amazing stay. We had out of state family and friends for our daughter's wedding. The dogs had a good time as well. Thank you foe sharing your home with us.
We stayed here at the cottage for our 5th annual golf outing at Tanglewood. Everyone was comfortable and we had a great stay as we do every year. The hosts were very accommodating and responsive.
A great place to relax and in the middle of plenty to do. Philly, Hershey, Gettysburg, Lancaster all within driving distance. The house was clean, and had everything we needed. Thanks for the great place to stay guys, we will definitely be back again if its available :)
This home was beautiful, clean and peaceful. Very comfortable and spacious. The only issue was that there was no cell phone service and the internet was not reliable. Other than that I would highly recommend this property.
We had a lovely stay at Creekside Cottage. Kitchen is large, modern and well appointed. The bedrooms were comfortable and all the bedding was soft and clean. The home was spotless and the screened in porch enabled us to play cards late into the night without a bug bite. We enjoyed grilling on the deck and birdwatching nearby at Susquhannock Park. The kids went tubing and we all enjoyed antiquing. The lication is close to Lancaster as well as Port Deposit and Havre de Grace Maryland so we were able to day trip easily. Laura and Karen are great hosts, very responsive. We will definitely be coming back!
The pictures does no justice to this listing. It was absolutely beautiful and the stay was awesome. The hostbwas kind and generous. We had everything that we needed. Definitely would book again if I am going to be in the area.
We stayed for 3 weeks and were sad to leave our cottage in the woods. (We are city people who love waking up to birdsong.) - Such a spacious and cozy house, well equipped, tastefully furnished. It doesn‘t take long to settle in and feel at home. And: Thanks again to Laura for everything!!
Loved everything about it. There was a little confusion about the code to get access, and at one point it seemed our reservation had somehow been canceled, but we were able to straighten those things out quickly. The spaces worked perfectly for our family with the adults having private rooms, and then a space for the four boys and another space for the four girls. The eight grandchildren, ages 6 to 12, found lots to do. The 4 boys were mostly outside in the beautiful weather. The four girls were in and out and talked Grandma one mom into doing a creek walk which was great fun. The adults enjoyed chats around the fireplace and games around the large dining room table. We were only 35 minutes away from Sight and Sound theater, which everybody loved and which is what brought us to the area. We enjoyed hiking at the Susquehanna State Park, which is just a few miles away and we found the Central Market in the heart of Lancaster to be an intriguing change of pace. Grandma loved sitting out on the deck in the quiet of the early morning with her coffee and her Bible, listening to the babbling creek and the birds and the sound of acorns hitting the ground. There was so much more we would’ve like to do but we will have to save it for another trip.
Creekside Cottage was exactly as described. The property was clean, comfortable and the perfect location for our annual golf getaway. We really enjoyed our stay.
The listing looked great, and the house did not disappoint! It was even better in person!

About the Owner: Don Wagner - Southern Lancaster County has been my home for my entire life. I live 20 minutes away from Creekside Cottage and had been in the Real Estate business for many years. It has been my vision to create a place for guests to stay while visiting beautiful Southern Lancaster County. ***Sadly, Don Wagner passed away on March 27, 2023. He is dearly missed by family and friends. The Hosts: Laura & Kara are the daughter & granddaughter of Don Wagner. We plan to continue the tradition of hospitality at Creekside Cottage.
Why they chose this property
This property is adjacent to my country cabin and stables. The rich history and natural attractions in this area inspired me to build Creekside Cottage. Come relax and explore this beautiful area!
What makes this property unique
I designed Creekside Cottage with comfort and efficiency in mind. The wood used for the kitchen island, kitchen table, walls in the den and Master bathroom all came from the trees on my property. If you stroll down behind the cottage, you will discover the most amazing natural rock wall. If you desire to visit an authentic Amish community, then this is your place. May you find peace, comfort and serenity during your visit!
