Just a mile from Route 1, discover a haven of peace and relaxation at Cabin Among the Pines, a rustic retreat for your summer Maine get-away.
Located at Ravens Nest Farm, you will enjoy a first floor open concept living/dining and kitchen area. Everything needed to prepare, serve, and savor freshly caught seafood from the surrounding Atlantic Ocean is stocked in the kitchen, or walk next door to Darthia Farm to select a variety of organically grown vegetables to complete your locally inspired meals. A bright and cheerful sunroom overlooks the backyard swing-set, gazebo, and fire ring where you may enjoy the ocean air from nearby West Bay.
The quiet primary bedroom/bathroom suite offers privacy and its own exit to the deck and garden outside. Upstairs, a set of bunk beds and a twin comfortably sleeps three children. The adjacent modern bathroom includes a beautifully tiled shower and vanity. From the second floor bedroom windows gaze at the surrounding landscape, or choose a book from the ample selection provided for reading and resting on the daybed.
Cabin Among the Pines is the perfect starting point to meander north on Route 1 to explore the charm of the many unspoiled fishing villages of Downeast Maine. Or find the nearby biking and hiking trails of Schoodic Peninsula, a quiet and dramatic section of Acadia National Park, just a few short miles from the cabin. For adventurous families who prefer the authentic, uncrowded charm of the coast of Maine, we invite you to savor all that the bays, coves, and bold rocky coast of Maine has to offer.

Nice property, well maintained. Nice firepit, property management was easy to work with.
Close to Bar Harbor, so much easier to stay on there than in town.

Michael, we are delighted your family created some wonderful memories! Thank you for staying with us.
We could not have picked a better spot, it was a beautiful, well kept house in a secluded area that was incredibly quiet. Yet, the house was very well located close to local harbors that offered plenty of options for fresh lobster, seafood, great restaurants and outdoor activities. It was close enough to enjoy Bar Harbor (45min-hr), but far enough to get out of the congestion. We would absolutely stay here again!!!

We have an amazing stay at this property. We can’t say enough positive things! Christine was wonderful to deal with. The property was so clean and well stocked! We ran into the property keeper who let our toddler see the bunnies they had on the property. We loved the cabin and all the amenities! Don’t hesitate to book!

Thank you, Ashley, for taking the time to leave this fabulous five-star review. We are delighted your family had a wonderful vacation!
The house was very well kept and clean. It was very spacious, more than enough room for the four of us. The backyard with the gazebo and pond made the stay even better. We enjoyed grilling in the evening and roasting marshmallows. The owner was responded immediately when I had questions. She was very accomodating as well. We needed an iron and she had one sent over within 15 minutes. If you're looking for a quiet getaway in the country, I highly recommend staying at Cabin Among the Pines!

Vanessa, It was a pleasure to host you! We're glad you all had a peaceful and enjoyable stay.
We stayed here for 5 days and our stay was very nice. We didn’t do any cooking but there were plenty of kitchen supplies. Bathrooms were great and the place was spacious and quiet. You are off the beaten path and we had to drive everywhere but we knew that and preferred that. The one thing I would have changed was the upstairs bedroom bed 3 singles so my husband and took that room and let the other couple have the king bed downstairs. We did know the bed situation but they could easily fit a queen bed in that room. Over all out stay was great.

Lynn, thank you for choosing to stay with us! We are glad you had a peaceful vacation. If you come back, we have another house across the way that has three bedrooms with more bed options. I am happy to show you that house. Take good care!
This is a very special home on a gorgeous, peaceful property. It feels both cozy and airy/spacious at the same time, as the windows and skylights allow for lots of natural light. The sunroom was the perfect spot to enjoy a morning cup of tea, and the living room has the perfect sized coffee table for puzzles/games.
The property manager was exceptional, sending a comprehensive list of links to area attractions prior to our arrival, and providing delicious baked goods at check-in. The location is very convenient to visits to Acadia's Schoodic Peninsula. It is about an hour from Bar Harbor, which for us was just right, as it was nice to have a retreat away from the crowds.
