About this property
Cabin Among the Pines
Just a mile from Route 1, discover a haven of peace and relaxation at Cabin Among the Pines, a rustic retreat for your summer Maine get-away.
Located at Ravens Nest Farm, you will enjoy a first floor open concept living/dining and kitchen area. Everything needed to prepare, serve, and savor freshly caught seafood from the surrounding Atlantic Ocean is stocked in the kitchen, or walk next door to Darthia Farm to select a variety of organically grown vegetables to complete your locally inspired meals. A bright and cheerful sunroom overlooks the backyard swing-set, gazebo, and fire ring where you may enjoy the ocean air from nearby West Bay.
The quiet primary bedroom/bathroom suite offers privacy and its own exit to the deck and garden outside. Upstairs, a set of bunk beds and a twin comfortably sleeps three children. The adjacent modern bathroom includes a beautifully tiled shower and vanity. From the second floor bedroom windows gaze at the surrounding landscape, or choose a book from the ample selection provided for reading and resting on the daybed.
Cabin Among the Pines is the perfect starting point to meander north on Route 1 to explore the charm of the many unspoiled fishing villages of Downeast Maine. Or find the nearby biking and hiking trails of Schoodic Peninsula, a quiet and dramatic section of Acadia National Park, just a few short miles from the cabin. For adventurous families who prefer the authentic, uncrowded charm of the coast of Maine, we invite you to savor all that the bays, coves, and bold rocky coast of Maine has to offer.
