Excellent property. The most amazing views. It was extremely clean and well maintained. It's a little bit remote but not too far from places like Bar Harbor.
This views as you step into the home are stunning. Your first thought will be "is this really our house?"The sleeping rooms were really comfortable. We appreciated the en suites for each bedroom. The kitchen has everything you need for your stay.Don't miss hikes at Schoodic Penninsula. We really enjoyed Lunch on the Warf in Corea. Visit Chapter Two and Maine Kiln Works for amazing local artisan crafts.
Majestic Views is an amazing house with views second to Cadillac Mt. The house is modern, clean, convenient to get around and was perfect for 5 sisters to come together and enjoy the week.
The panoramic windows in this home make the view absolutely breathtaking—sunrises, sunsets, and everything in between felt like a private painting. It’s one of those rare places where the scenery becomes part of the experience.Another standout feature was the large mudroom, which made a big difference during our family stay. It was spacious, functional, and perfect for organizing shoes, coats, or hiking gear. We’d come back in a heartbeat.
Our first night treated us to a beautiful sunset and views of Bar Harbor across the bay. Conveniently located close to the Schoodic Peninsula and about an hour from the popular sites in Acadia National Park. Huge windows in the open kitchen/dining/living area gave us views that went on forever.
What a wonderful site for a Maine vacation! An ever-changing panorama out the bank of windows. Tides changing, cruise ships entering and leavning Bar Harbor, clous play over the mountains.
Strongly recommend.
Ideal location, especially if you like being slightly off the beaten path. Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor are only an hour’s drive. Schoodic Peninsula is 15 minutes away where you can hike and ride bikes to your heart’s content. Of course, you can always just sit at the house and soak in the magnificent views of the bay and Cadillac Mountain.
We had a great time. The house has the most amazing view I have ever seen. I LOVED IT! Winter Harbor is a quiet town with just the right amount of amenities. Having Schoodic Peninsula right down the street was icing on the cake. We enjoyed hiking, biking, and lobster and remained in awe of the scenery the whole trip.
This house far exceeded our expectations. The kitchen was clean and well stocked. The great room was awesome with all the windows looking out on the water, islands and lobster traps. We enjoyed the fireplace on cool evenings. The bedrooms were large and had private bathrooms, and the beds were very comfortable. The host was great! She answered all our questions and gave wonderful advice. We would love to stay here again!
Amazing property, spacious for our family, with unbelievable views and scenery. Gorgeous sunsets from panorama views. Wonderful place for a family vacation, spending quality time together. The Schoodic part of Acadia is practically in the back yard and we enjoyed exploring the Schoodic area and Bar Harbor. Lovely fireplace, lots of space to spread out, play games, or plan your day of hiking, site seeing, shopping, cooking, grilling or just hanging out. The beds could be more comfortable but the views make up for it!
We loved our time at this property! The photos can’t do justice to those wall-to-wall views! 3 private bedrooms with baths, and one semi-private bed in the upper level. One bed/bath is on the main level for anyone with mobility issues. You’ll need to bring or buy hand soap, bath soap, shampoo and maybe paper towels if you use a lot. There are styrofoam coolers we used to pack lunches. OUR ONE CAVEAT: You SHOULD have a 4-wheel drive for the long gravel driveway, and even then it takes skill to get up the 30 angle to the house. If it’s been raining there is a risk of getting dug in and stuck. (Which we did) Once we got the hang of it we made it up, but dug some tire tracks which will need to be filled.

The house is spacious with spectacular views and amazing sunsets, but there were a few disappointing things. The house was advertised as TV with cable/satellite. The TV had neither. We were expected to stream, which we were not prepared for. The gas fireplace did not work, and the heat in the large living area would not work on chilly mornings. The house was not equipped with basic things like dish/hand soap. We did make the best of it as the views made up for some of the issues. We enjoyed our stay.
We spent 6 nights here and had a fantastic time. The views from the house are absolutely stunning. The house is huge with lots of room for everyone to spread out and do their own thing. We have nothing but positive things to say and would definitely recommend anyone to stay here!
Beautiful home, needed some TLC. TV’s didn’t work. Many pots and pans needed cleaning. Fireplace needed fixing, but was taken care of. LOVED the views!!! Driveway is difficult. Overall, with a good scrubbing, and clean closets it would be perfect!! 😀
Stunning views. The house needs a little TLC. Maybe a little extra cleaning of floors and windows. Kitchen was under stocked. Old pots and pans. Only 5 dinner knives?
BUT — THE VIEW MAKES UP FOR THE SHORT COMINGS.
Our family had an amazing experience at this lovely house. It's winning feature is the huge wall of windows that allow about a180° view of the Frenchmans Bay and surrounding waterways. Also a full view of Cadillac mountain. We were in awe when the fog blew away shortly after our arrival and gifted us with the view of lovely Maine ocean scenes and the mind blowing sunset following. Every evening was a toss up on whether we should watch the sunset from the house or take the short drive to Schoodic point to see it there. We enjoyed watching the lobster boats in the morning and were able to see them pull their traps. Also got to see a cruise ship pass by on its way into Bar Harbor. The house was very spacious and more than served our needs as a family of 7. We cooked alot of meals at the house and had sufficient cooking supplies. The landscaping around the house is largely left in its native condition, so you may find some wild berries very close to the back door. This also means that there is no grass as such for yard games, however our children enjoy photography and nature for which there are abundant opportunity. We were kindly allowed an early check in which we were happy to take advantage of! Also the owner was able to provide us with a full tank of propane when we discovered the one we were using was empty. I would say that the washcloth supply was on the low side for our family, but since a washer and dryer were available, we just ran a daily load, and made out ok. We appreciated the quietness of Winter Harbor and drove to Schoodic Peninsula daily to see the awesome beauty of the wild, rocky Maine oceanfront. Did do the approx. 1 hour drive into Bar Harbor one day, just to experience the shops and the drive up Cadillac mountain. This house will always be a wonderful memory and we will recommend it to our friends!
Beautiful home with breathtaking views of Frenchman Bay and Mt. Desert island. All of the rooms are good sizes… very comfortable. The only problem we had with six of us there was we frequently ran out of hot water. The owner was very receptive to addressing and said there were problems in the past.
Hi! We just returned from Maine and we really enjoyed our VRBO house. We live in Colorado so steep driveways are a way of life where we live so the driveway was interesting but not a big deal. The most incredible thing about this house is the view. We could not wait for the next sunset. One sunset was so incredible I will probably be entering my photographs in a contest.
The property manager went above and beyond answering little questions for us. With my husband being an engineer he was really curious how they could have built the house in the first place on top of its hill. I loved not having a lot of things to do before we left. Leaving the used towels in the laundry room and taking out the trash was nothing.
Both families that were there thought we would have an expansive deck from the pictures but it was a little deck. But once again, the house is mainly windows that look at one of the most beautiful scenes in the United States.
