A wonderful place to unwind and catch up with friends and family. Lots to discover "Downeast" from this home if you chose to keep busy. Opting for inside activities withthe awesome views from so many windows provides other ways to relax. Not a day went by that we did not spend hours out on the deck listening to the sounds of nature and enjoying the sunshine (and the view...) We were able to watch Meteor Showers in the dark skies and the deer who were feeding on the property grounds at dusk.Everyone loved our time together spent there. We left with many wonderful shared memories.

The house was exquisite on many ways! The views cannot be any more beautiful and you can spend the entire week gazing out the windows. There was enough room for everyone and we each had our own bathroom! The location was convenient because it was close to town and schoodic point but we had plenty of privacy as well as piece and quiet. The only downside was the main living area was like a greenhouse due to all the windows and it was warm when we stayed so the temp was between 89-90 in the house. No ac. There were table fans but they provided little relief. The back room became a cool haven but I discovered that on the last night

Great View. Excellent Host.

Excellent property. The most amazing views. It was extremely clean and well maintained. It's a little bit remote but not too far from places like Bar Harbor.

This is a special place. The views from the house are magnificent and the house is designed for the views with a huge living-dining-kitchen area surrounded by windows. Nearby Winter Harbor is a small village where you can get a boat to Bar Harbor for the day. It's an hour's drive. Also, near the Schoodic Peninsula. It's a quiet, beautiful area away from the crowds. The bedrooms were comfortable. There are four queen size beds. Four bathrooms, all very clean. Limited window shades can make it hard to sleep in the morning, but why sleep when it is so beautiful outside. It can also get hot in the house on warm sunny days, especially on the upper floor. The kitchen was adequate. To quibble, some of the dishes and glassware were left dirty and it could use some new pots. Minor inconvenience in a wonderful house. The owner and the host were responsive and accommodating.

Fabulous Views

Our first night treated us to a beautiful sunset and views of Bar Harbor across the bay. Conveniently located close to the Schoodic Peninsula and about an hour from the popular sites in Acadia National Park. Huge windows in the open kitchen/dining/living area gave us views that went on forever.

Perfect site - fabulous view -- spacious

What a wonderful site for a Maine vacation! An ever-changing panorama out the bank of windows. Tides changing, cruise ships entering and leavning Bar Harbor, clous play over the mountains. Strongly recommend.

Majestic Views

Ideal location, especially if you like being slightly off the beaten path. Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor are only an hour’s drive. Schoodic Peninsula is 15 minutes away where you can hike and ride bikes to your heart’s content. Of course, you can always just sit at the house and soak in the magnificent views of the bay and Cadillac Mountain.

Awesome rental

We had a great time. The house has the most amazing view I have ever seen. I LOVED IT! Winter Harbor is a quiet town with just the right amount of amenities. Having Schoodic Peninsula right down the street was icing on the cake. We enjoyed hiking, biking, and lobster and remained in awe of the scenery the whole trip.

The panoramic windows in this home make the view absolutely breathtaking—sunrises, sunsets, and everything in between felt like a private painting. It’s one of those rare places where the scenery becomes part of the experience.Another standout feature was the large mudroom, which made a big difference during our family stay. It was spacious, functional, and perfect for organizing shoes, coats, or hiking gear. We’d come back in a heartbeat.

Awesome Views!

This house far exceeded our expectations. The kitchen was clean and well stocked. The great room was awesome with all the windows looking out on the water, islands and lobster traps. We enjoyed the fireplace on cool evenings. The bedrooms were large and had private bathrooms, and the beds were very comfortable. The host was great! She answered all our questions and gave wonderful advice. We would love to stay here again!

Winter Harbor Vacation With Million Dollar Views!

Amazing property, spacious for our family, with unbelievable views and scenery. Gorgeous sunsets from panorama views. Wonderful place for a family vacation, spending quality time together. The Schoodic part of Acadia is practically in the back yard and we enjoyed exploring the Schoodic area and Bar Harbor. Lovely fireplace, lots of space to spread out, play games, or plan your day of hiking, site seeing, shopping, cooking, grilling or just hanging out. The beds could be more comfortable but the views make up for it!

We loved our time at this property! The photos can’t do justice to those wall-to-wall views! 3 private bedrooms with baths, and one semi-private bed in the upper level. One bed/bath is on the main level for anyone with mobility issues. You’ll need to bring or buy hand soap, bath soap, shampoo and maybe paper towels if you use a lot. There are styrofoam coolers we used to pack lunches. OUR ONE CAVEAT: You SHOULD have a 4-wheel drive for the long gravel driveway, and even then it takes skill to get up the 30 angle to the house. If it’s been raining there is a risk of getting dug in and stuck. (Which we did) Once we got the hang of it we made it up, but dug some tire tracks which will need to be filled.

The house is spacious with spectacular views and amazing sunsets, but there were a few disappointing things. The house was advertised as TV with cable/satellite. The TV had neither. We were expected to stream, which we were not prepared for. The gas fireplace did not work, and the heat in the large living area would not work on chilly mornings. The house was not equipped with basic things like dish/hand soap. We did make the best of it as the views made up for some of the issues. We enjoyed our stay.

The views were spectacular! If you wanted to say you visited Acadia without getting into nature you can literally just sit in the living room and look around. It was exactly what I was looking for in the area. Hiking the Schoodic side of Acadia was so peaceful and the Bar Harbor side provided lots of opportunities to test my hiking abilities.
