This beautiful 2 story cabin is right on t he river in strawberry at an elevation of 5600ft, you can see the river and hear the river from every room. The deck is wonderful, what a view, listen to the water the wildlife and enjoy the beauty of the Sierra's. 2 bedroom 1.5 bath, sleeps 8 with sofa in living room, all new, high ceilings, knotty pine interior, huge fireplace, wood provided, full kitchen, microwave, coffee maker, washer, dryer, dishwasher, deck, BBQ, patio furniture. Driveway is a long gravel road, drive slowly please!

CLEANING:
We have always and will continue to use clorox, lysol cleaners, disinfectant sprays, and laundry sanitizer, vinegar, bleach as appropriate for each surface type. Our crews wear protective masks and. We have always taken great care to protect our guests!

We have smoke detectors, CO detectors, fire extinguishers.

ADDITIONAL RENTAL INFORMATION:
* We provide cleaning service after your departure for a fee so you do not have to clean on your vacation. You should leave it tidy, rinsed dishes go into dishwasher so there's no ants etc. Cabins blankets and towels stay at the cabin. The crew does the rest.
We follow covid protocols and procedures, per vrbo listing information for California no contact entry.

This is a wonderful property which We have enjoyed multiple times. It is well equipped. However, I would suggest providing a few more chairs for the deck as well as an umbrella. They have been available in the past but were missing this year. Although there are only two of us thru the week, we do host a family dinner a couple of times during our stay.

Beautiful Views

The cabin was better than you see online. The river in the back side of the house was amazing to look at and explore and to hear the sound of water from inside. The house has lots of windows for a 360 degree view and natural lighting. The kitchen was more than well stocked. The one full bath was a good size as well as the bedrooms. The only thing I missed was WI-fi.

Incredible Property

On a scale of 1-10, the property is a 12.5! The cabin design, construction and view of the river are off the charts. The driveway access is a bit rough, and greatly missed by us was Wi-Fi access. Also, although not listed as a included amenity and maybe a minor issue for some, not including a iron and ironing board is a miss. Other than that, the property is over the top and one of the better finds on VRBO.

Superb Location

We were blown away by the river views of this property. I took my parents and they are bird watchers. They loved sitting on the deck with binoculars and watching the osprey and other birds. Property itself was clean, comfortable, and really a delight. We are familiar with the area and have stayed many places around Strawberry and love it here. This rental was a great spot to stay while we played at Pinecrest Lake and other places. I discovered the trail up the road and used it for my morning walks. Wonderful Property

This is a beautiful cabin on the river and we had an amazing week. The property is clean and well appointed. I have two constructive suggestions. Although the property manager was responsive to changing the propane tank for the gas grill, the grill was marginally functional, I would encourage the owner to have the grill repaired or replaced. Wi-Fi would also be appreciated y many tenants.

Beautiful place-enjoy staying there

It is a lovely home with a superb view of the river and we enjoyed staying there. The only improvement I would make is for the owners manual and instructional posting to be modified to be more welcoming, instructional to enjoying the home and then provide some do's and do not information. Instead what is there is a long list of negative instructions. Even as to simple things like the TV you need to dig. This is an area full of great hikes but the information is hidden . It would be so much nicer to read something which says - "Hiking opportunities are superb and here is information about some of the hikes. I no longer ski but there is little or no information about the nearby ski slopes. But there is an endless list of don't do that. With a great property like this be more welcoming and affirmative.

Hi, I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay once again, the 3rd time I believe. I'm sorry that you only read the first 2 pages of the binder. It's the same things in the rental agreement and arrival departure instructions. But the rest of the binder is full of information about the entire area as well as neighboring counties. All the things you wanted to find. Including everything the forestry dept provides. There's everything about everything in Tuolumne County supplied by the visitors bureau in the binder. Quiet Nature Setting

This property among a beautiful river and forest setting was perfect for our family vacation. My family used to own a Pinecrest cabin for many years and we would stay there, never really experiencing the Strawberry area. The location is close to Pinecrest Lake and the new owners at the Strawberry store are very friendly. The home itself is in a post-card perfect setting and although there is only one dedicated bedroom, the loft area with 3 beds was suitable for our son's family with adequate privacy. There are several places in the home and the deck to enjoy the beautiful river views. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you need and the living dining area very warm and inviting. The full bath and half bath worked out well for our party of 6. The decor is very nice and the home kept up to date and clean. I could tell the cleaning crew and property manager go to great lengths to ensure a good stay. The only down side, if you could call it that, is limited cellular connectivity. We were able to make an occasional call and text, but we were also glad to be offline for most of the week. You can get wifi if you need it at the Strawberry store, but consider unplugging for a while to relax like yesteryear!

A slice of heaven in the Sierra Mountains

We enjoyed our stay at the River Front Cabin , very much, and were sad to have to leave. Its location was easy to find, and in great proximity to Pinecrest Lake and neighboring Sonora and Columbia state park. Although the down-sloped , gravel horseshoe driveway was a little tight at the entrance, it was maneuverable, and even better with a 4 wheel drive vehicle. We towed our small 14 ft fishing boat up with us, and although it did fit down the driveway, we decided to purchase a slip at the marina ($90. For the 7 days), in order to avoid having to disconnect and reposition it in order to exit the driveway. The cabin is clean and tidy and is spacious. The placement of lots of Windows gives the feeling of staying in a treehouse. And the constant Serene sound of the river is to die for. We waded in the river and did a little fly fishing in the pools that were accessible. We were all content to just stay at the cabin on several days because of its heavenly location. And I will add that my elderly in-laws had no problem maneuvering around and down the five well placed steps to the entrance. The kitchen was outfitted with everything we needed. Make sure you bring along your soaps, cleaning supplies and toilet paper (as the website suggests). Our only tip would be to maybe bring along your own towels, as well, as the ones there were tiny and well used. But they are probably gonna be replaced soon anyway👍🏼 Thank you Darlene, and the homeowner, for the attention to detail and for sharing this beautiful cabin. We would love to come again.

Lovely Cabin

This was perfect for our family of seven! The knotty pine interior is beautiful, the windows are breathtaking, the river was like a lullaby at night, and we caught fish every day!We spent many hours on the deck which wrapped all the way around... it was so relaxing!

Mountain Sanctuary

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our one week stay at this lovely cabin in Strawberry perched above the river. The knotty pine interior was so warm and beautiful; the layout was very spacious and accommodating, while the abundance of windows allowed for a feeling of being almost outdoors. It was perfect for the two of us. The bathrooms: beautiful. Appreciate the washer/dryer. The kitchen was so spacious, and I cant imagine wanting for a single thing as regards the number of kitchenware items that one could need. We so enjoyed relaxing on the deck overlooking the river. It was great! We would like to mention a couple of things, albeit minor in nature. Although advised "towels provided'', there were only large towels, and no hand towels or face cloths, so we purchased a couple face cloths..In the kitchen I could only fine one terry cloth towel for drying dishes and one very small linen towel, and only one very old used sponge for cleaning up and washing dishes and utensils. Also no handsoap anywhere, although there was some dishwashing liquid. All those bar stools are great, but the backs are wobbly and could use some tightening. The front steps down to the cabin from the parking area needs some attention. One of the steps literally came apart when I stepped on it while carrying items into the cabin, and I was fortunate I didn't fall. I am a lightweight person so that wasn't the problem. (:D) The dirt was just slipping away, and we thought you would like to be aware of that as someone could get hurt. As I said, we consider these minor things; all in all we loved our stay; the cabin is beautiful, and we would certainly strongly consider staying again! Hi, thank you for sharing your delightful stay. The cabin is wonderful very well thought out. We do provide bath towels, theres a closet across from the bathroom with other supplies. The step was repaired as soon as you advised...seems someone tried to ride their bike down them...since they are natural steps, that wasn't conducive to the dirt and sand structure. We do provide a list of items prior to booking in amenities, also in the welcome letter and again in the instruction email reminder to read the list on the rental agreement so guests have what they need for a good stay. Loved cabin and location!

The property is located on a gorgeous river that we played in daily just a short walk down some rocks behind the house. The house was clean and well appointed. Kitchen was very well outfitted and the cabin has big windows everywhere to take advantage of the views. We will definitely be back to this house.

Peaceful location on the river

This beautiful cabin, tucked in the woods at Strawberry, is a real gem. It is clean and well-maintained and perfect for a small group. The cabin is a short drive from Pinecrest Lake.

We've been serving vacationers since 1984, 40 years. It's a family business, my children grew up in the business and still assist guests daily. When I started, the cabins didn't even have TV, it was the forest and fun that drew guests up the mountain to play, swim, fish, hike, bike, horseback ride and visit Columbia State Park, Dodge Ridge Ski Resort, Pinecrest lake, Ice skating, snow play, Tuolumne and Stainislaus River, big Trees and so much more. It has been a pleasure to serve thousands of guests over the years. We do our very best to make each stay a great experience. The crew works exceptionally hard to keep everything going!
