Awesome place! The only thing you need to bring is the ability to light a fire. If you love your space, this is definitely the place for you. Would recommend to anyone. Hosts are prompt and informative.
We loved our stay! The hosts were very responsive with questions before our visit. We took full advantage of School house beach which is just down the road. We then enjoyed warming our bones in the sauna and a warm shower. The creek on the property provided ample play for everyone This cabin’s location was perfect for all our daytime adventures throughout the UP
Our family enjoyed our stay at the lodge. It was clean (including the outhouse) and had what we needed to enjoy a bit of seclusion. The sauna was our favorite part of our stay. And the hosts provided excellent recommendations for food and places to visit. Thank you!
Such a nice little cabin. We weren't able to enjoy the sauna because of our short stay but it looked really cool. We did really make use of the wood stove inside the cabin. We was very grateful for that. The fact that we could take my mom's dog was wonderful! The owners provided everything you'd need to be comfortable. I was pleasantly surprised by the bonfire pit and the awesome wood supply even though we didn't use it. We'd love to come back some day. It was a great experience!
Secluded rustic cabin within easy driving of all the attractions of the peninsula. The suana shower was a great way to start the day. Cabin needed a few more screens in the windows. Very private location great for the dogs. No inside bathroom. Not a problem for us though. We would stay here again
This location served as an excellent escape. It is a beautiful spot surrounded by natural scenery, offering peace and tranquility. I particularly enjoyed the sauna, with the added surprise of a remarkable shower within the sauna itself.
Property was exactly advertised. Simple but clean and has everything you need. We watched the northern lights the bonfire pit and it was magical

Liked: Check-in, location
We selected this cabin because we were traveling with our pet dog. It was nice for that purpose. There were no neighbors nearby, and there is an ATV trail directly across the street. The porta-potty and the outhouse were both disgusting. They were in need of more frequent waste removal/treatment.The sauna/shower was shaky. There were no instructions on how to use it. The hot and cold handles on the shower were not labeled and it appeared that they were reversed; that could easily lead to someone accidentally scalding themselves. The shower head was extremely small and there was no drain in the floor. Who knows where the runoff water was supposed to flow.Inside the cabin was raw OSB with unfinished pine trim. There were live gas lines running to an unused wall heater and overhead propane lanterns. A feed-off that went to the cooking stove. The stove was not connected to electric which meant that the oven did not work. The gas connections seemed to be terribly unsafe. There was a loud well pump under the sink which provided very low water pressure. A wall switch controlled an old hot water heater, but it was taped in the off position. There was no hot water. There were no railings on the deck or stairs. We felt this facility would be unsafe for children and completely unusable for anyone that had physical challenges.Overall, this property was in a nice location, but it needs a lot of TLC. We thought it was vastly overpriced and would not recommend it.
It waz exactly as presented. Nothing fancy, but everything you need.saw the best show of northern lights we have ever seen. Sat up all night watching themWe loved the sauna. We alzo

Basic survival
Stove barely kept us warm with putting alog in every hour all night long
Coming from another busy tourist area in the UP, kids didn’t have school for a couple of days so this is exactly what we wanted! A getaway from a bunch of people! The property was secluded as the listing says, our kids and dog could run around with no worries! The cabin did get a little chilly thru the night but it was manageable, just snuck into the sauna after the morning trip to the bathroom to warm up! There were also a couple of places close by to enjoy a meal, our favorite was the Loading Zone in Lake Linden! The property was super easy to get to and sat fairly close to everything we wanted to see! You also couldn’t beat the views driving down Gay road, the colors were beautiful!!!
This rustic secluded cabin had everything we needed, nothing we didn't, and one thing we needed but didn't know we did, and that was the sauna/shower! The wood was waiting for us for the sauna and firewood was easily found on the property for a beautiful campfire at night. Coming from down state, where there is too much light pollution, it was amazing seeing the bajillions of stars in the heavens at night. This location was an easy drive to anywhere we wanted to go in the Peninsula, and a bit beyond. We highly recommend this little slice of heaven if you just want to unwind and enjoy the best life has to offer - peace and quiet. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend. We loved our stay! The hosts were prompt to answer any questions we had and the cabin was clean. Definitely on our "do again" list. Thanks so much!!!
