Beautiful Beach Front Home Located Within 100 Feet Of The Beach

Casa De La Playa is on the beach in Lochabar Bay at Clarence Town Harbor, Long Island, Bahamas within sight of nearby cays and the Flying Fish Marina in a quiet tropical setting overlooking a beautiful mile long white powder beach. This house is built at the waters edge and you can see the water from almost anywhere in the house. The covered porch and all rooms are above the tree line to catch the breezes and for fabulous views of Clarence Town Harbor and the Atlantic Ocean. Three cays situated between our beach and the Atlantic Ocean reduce surges and provide us with a gently sloping, sandy beach free of currents and undertows for most of the year. The calm water and long beach make this a classic. The Lochabar Blue Hole is less than a half mile away. This is a perfect place for a tranquil and quiet vacation, yet only less than 4 miles from a number of bars & restaurants in the Clarence Town/Turnbull Area.

Third visit, wont be the last!

This was our 3rd stay at Stefan's place in Clarence Town, and it was as wonderful as the previous visits. The home is in a great location, offering easy access to many of LI's top beaches. Clean house, great views, and amazing beachfront location. Can't be beat!

Family Vacation

We have been coming to the Bahamas for family vacations since 2011. This house is perfect, ideal location, accessible to a beautiful beach on a charming bay, kayaks for exploration. House is comfortable, has great amenities, and hosts are easy to contact and very responsive. We enjoyed lovely days on the beach and family nights of cooking or eating a local establishments and a wonderful TV to watch movies together. Great place to disconnect ( they do have excellent WiFi) and reconnect with each other.

This is a beautiful house with everything you could ask for. The host is super responsive - we had an initial issue with wi-fi and once I contacted the host, it was fixed within the hour. Great location for short drives to some beautiful beaches, although it was hard to leave the one we were on!

A Month in Paradise

This house is located on one of the best beaches in Long Island. You are steps away from the beach with spectacular views. The house has everything you need for a comfortable vacation.The beds and pillows were comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. The owner was easy to reach to answer question. We look forward to returning in the near future.

Awesome house in beautiful location

We had an amazing 5 night stay at this home in Lochabar. The house was even nicer than the online listing and the beach was incredible. The AC worked great, the house was spacious, laundry was a huge plus, and the outdoor shower made it easy to rinse off after a day at the beach. There is some decent snorkeling to the right of the house and you can walk along the beach to Lochabar blue hole. We bought 5gal water bottles from Erica's bakery and filled the pitchers and ice cube trays which worked great. We loved the location - close to Dean's Blue Hole, Gordon's, Galloway and many other beautiful spots. And bonus that a flock of wild flamingos lives at the pond at the end of the road! We can't wait to come back!

Another wonderful visit

This was our family's second stay at this property and it was just as wonderful as the first. The home is clean and comfortable with all of the amenities of home. Beautiful views of the water from most rooms in the house and and great porch to relax on with wonderful breezes. The beach in front of the house is great and we went swimming every day of our visit. The addition of kayaks was awesome, and we went out several times to explore the blue hole and islands around the harbor. The location of the home can't be beat as it is near Clarence Town with restaurants and grocery shopping available. Erika's Bakery is a favorite and a must for getting freshly baked bread. The home is also conveniently located near many of the attractions on the island like Dean's Blue Hole and offers easy access to lots of beautiful beaches. I highly recommend this home for anyone considering a trip to Long Island!

Perfection

The pictures do not do this rental justice! This home is beautiful and exceeded expectations, super clean and accommodating. Open the sliding doors to a few steps to beautiful water and beach. Short drive to the marina and deans blue hole. Great and easy communication with owners. This is more then a 5 star rating!

Absolutely fantastic.

The location can't be beat. The incredible view of the blue waters of Lochabar Bay is amazing. No bugs due to constant ocean breeze, super soft sand right in front of the place. Nothing not to like.

Lochabar was great!

How can you beat this? A very nice home literally a stroll from the sand and waves with spectacular views over the harbor and bay. I have been lucky enough to see some of the worlds best beaches, and this one must be a secret! Our family of four were thoroughly entertained by the endless exploring, and peace and quiet. The house was perfect in every way, and there was nothing to complain about....great place, great value and great memories....we would give this a four thumbs up!

Happy to be back!

This was our second stay at Casa De La Playa and the third is booked. Do I really need to say anymore? The house is comfortable, and the location can't be beat. Once again we started and ended our day on Lochabar beach and spent the rest exploring old and new ( to us) beaches. If you are looking for a remote, quiet place to unwind and enjoy beautiful weather, water and beaches this is it.

Wonderful return to Long Island

The location and house were wonderful! Having the house right on the beach in this protected cove made for great beach time. The all sand beach was very clean and the water was crystal clear. We enjoyed the snorkel at the blue hole right down the beach. There were sailboats out in the distance which added to our enjoyment. Every night, we were out on the porch looking at stars. The house was clean and well kept. We did not have any maintenance issues during our stay. The A/C worked great and the newly renovated bathrooms were tastefully done. All 6 people in our group rated this 5 stars and would highly recommend this house for your Long Island vacation.

Lachabar Beach

Location was great to stay on the southern portion of the island. Beach right out front, walking distance to the Lochabar Blue Hole. Beautiful view of the water, marina, and islands out front. House was clean and in great condition! All amenities present? beach chairs and kayaks were a great addition!

I grew up in the Settlement of Mangrove Bush, Long Island where I completed Primary and Secondary School. I then went to University and graduated from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania where I obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering. I currently live in Nassau and visit Long Island at least once a month.

Why they chose this property

This house was designed and built by myself with the help of my construction team. My father purchased this property in the early 1970's and I've spent many holidays/weekends on Lochabar beach and fishing in the Harbour. I've also spent many days sailing in the harbour with friends and family either for fun or during the various regattas that are held here on holiday weekends. I decided to build my home in Lochabar because of the nice ocean breeze, the quietness, peace and of course the beach! You will enjoy your stay!

What makes this property unique

The views from the Living/Dining Rooms, Kitchen and Master Bedroom are breath taking. You can relax on the porch and listen to the waves gently wash up on the beach. You can also listen to the various species of birds sing their choruses.
