Why they chose this property
The location of Cane River Living Downtown is excellent. I love that my guests can stroll through the backyard, around the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame museum, and be on Front Street.
What makes this property unique
Our 100-year-old home, though greatly cared for, shows its age in some places. Expect loving wear, quaint aging, and a charming patina inside and outside. The overall decor is unique, with Art Deco vibes, and different from the surrounding properties.
The two main entrances have several stairs to access, as the home is built on a hill. Four bedrooms and two bathrooms are located on the main floor, and one bedroom with two twin beds is located upstairs.
PLEASE NOTE: We use SimpliSafe to protect our home and guests. We have outdoor security cameras monitoring all five (5) exterior doors and an exterior camera monitoring the parking lot in the home's backyard.
The room names mean "Happy Blessed Life [on the] Riverbank."
Abigail (Happy) - queen-sized bed with blush velvet bedding, velvet curtains, gold ceiling, and panoramic windows.
Benoit (Blessed) - king-sized bed with champagne gold velvet bedding, velvet curtains, antique light, TV, and extra seating. Opens to the front porch with seating.
Vivienne (Life) - queen-sized bed with green velvet bedding, velvet curtains, and custom-designed egret mural on the ceiling with large windows.
Deveraux Suite (Riverbank): This suite features a king-sized bed with champagne gold velvet bedding, velvet curtains, a custom-designed egret mural above the bed and on the ceiling, antique lights, a TV, a mini fridge, a Keurig, dishes, a bathroom with a shower, and extra seating. It opens to the deck with seating and a keyless private entrance.
Upstairs Room - two twin XL beds with carpet flooring. An optional full-size mattress is available upon request.
Kitchen: gas stove, side-by-side refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, front-load washer and dryer, dishes, cookware, bakeware, Keurig.
Dining Room - seating for 11. The dining table converts to a pool table by removing the top or table tennis (pong) by flipping the top over.
Living Room - seating for 9. Shuffleboard table, and TV. Opens to the front porch with seating.
