This was a great place for my family to stay while we were in the Chicago area for an event at my son's college in River Forest. The property is a 10-minute drive to the college and is also near 290, making it easy to hop on the freeway for excursions to Chicago. It was a perfect space for our purposes, though it was not luxurious. It is obviously well-used and in need of some upkeep. Be aware that the stairs may be difficult for some. The hosts were very responsive and friendly in their communications. We appreciated the garage parking and the well-supplied kitchen (including spices). Some friends who met us there are considering staying there when their daughter has an event at the college.

Very comfortable home. Location was great. Owners were very responsive and helpful. A storm on our last day unfortunately left us without power, owner was great at keeping us informed of status. Already went to book for our next trip but someone beat us to it.

The property was as advertised. Everything was seamless. Guests could use additional pots. We had to purchase pots, which was not a big deal. The neighborhood was very quiet. The house was clean and everything worked. It was also close to almost everything. There were coffee shops, supermarkets etc close to the property.My group was also happy that the listing had accommodation (the backyard) for those who smoke cigarettes. We will book this listing again when we visit Illinois.

The house was nice, however the cleaning crew needs to do a better job the shower downstairs had long hair on the floor. The bathroom upstairs shower curtains needs to be replaced there was a lot of soap scum. All the pillows in each room needs to be replaced. Other than that it was a very nice home.
