Things were clean. Kitchen was nice but I did note that there was only a pour-over style coffee maker, which would have been more problematic for someone that didn’t know how to use it. On arrival there was a minor concern but the host was prompt with their reply and the issue was fixed the next day without further discussion. Host was very communicative and prompt with all inquiries leading up to our stay and through out.The best part of this place was how quiet it was and the beds were comfortable. I must admit that we didn’t spend much time at the house. There for breakfast and to sleep at night. Water pressure was great and the bathrooms spotless clean. I’d stay again.

Great House for Family

We needed a place to stay for a Thanksgiving visit in Santa Maria. This house fit all of our needs. Lots of room, great neighborhood, great yard. Would definitely stay again.

Great location!

Check-in process was a bit last minute; but arrived before we started our travels. The house is huge and could easily accommodate a number of air mattresses in addition to the number of beds that already sleep 8. I brought one just in case as our head count fluctuated up to the day of our arrival. It never got unloaded from the car. Bathrooms were huge and everything was fairly clean and in good shape. The kitchen was spacious and handled the morning rush! We didn’t spend a lot of time in the home; but it worked out great for our extended weekend to the central coast.

My family (husband, 3 adult children, my mother and his elderly father) and I just stayed at Ila's home to attend a wedding in Los Alamos. I selected the home based on the photos, and the capacity to house a large group (house can sleep 9 - very rare.)The good:Starting with communication - Ila was extremely responsive, even though she was not local. The beds were very comfortable, and there was an amazing cross breeze. There were plenty of sheets, towels, etc. Much of the house has been updated as well, even though it is older. The area is easy to get to, plenty of parking and priced low. There is a hot tub we didnt use.The bad: they advertise a downstairs bedroom, but leave out there is an oddly placed step off the kitchen that was VERY treacherous for my elderly Father in law, who we intended to occupy that room. If you have people with mobility issues, this is a challenge.The kitchen was not well equipped. For a home that can sleep 9, there should be more dishes, utensils, etc. Ila cautioned us that there were still personal belongings, which I respect - but they should be housed in a common and marked location.There are gorgeous cement steps leading upstairs, but the landing step is cracked and loose (see photo). The carpets are in need of replacement - full of stains (sample photo),normal for a home accepting pets, but gave an overall feeling of a lack of maintenance. The home overall is in need of a deep cleaning.

Property had problems. Kitchen not well stocked and unorganized, no towel bars or broken towel bars, lights in two bathrooms didn’t work, barbecue dirty and unusable, smoke detector in kitchen missing, ants in kitchen, yard unsightly and windows dirty, beds were comfortable, 5 kitchen drawers broken.
