Perfect house for a friends gathering. Plenty of beds and bathrooms. Lovely front porch for coffee or after dinner girl talk. Air conditioning made the big house comfy in the hot weather. Only thing missing from the well-stocked kitchen were mixing bowls! Christa was very responsive to any questions we had during our stay.
Charming property and helpful hosts that left fresh bread, blue berries and wine upon arrival. The kids like seeing the horses on the property. Very scenic and private.
I have stayed here 3-4 times already (alone and with family). The host is outstanding, it’s seamless, the property and views and all around everything is exactly what I look for/ was looking for and I can’t wait to come back. Just be a good person.
This property is stunningly beautiful! So peaceful. Our kids ran wild with all the space and we walked to say hello to the horses every day. My kids were also able to take riding lessons while we were there. It’s a great location for activities to keep you busy but set far enough away for quiet and privacy. We will definitely try to get back soon!
The property was just as described. It would be helpful to have screen doors , as it’s buggy at night.
The house was clean, spacious, and xmet our needs for a family reunion.
We have stayed at the Orchard House before, and when our family reunion came again, we were happy to rent it again.
It's not fancy but we were very comfortable and love the peaceful setting and views. Ideal location for us but it might not be for everyone - we were close to a family home on a nearby mountain.
Loved the sweet touches of fresh cut peonies and a starter pack of food, coffee and juice. We've never met the owners but I'm sure if we would have needed them we would have had an answer right back.
The house is set back on a horse farm, with beautiful sweeping views around the house. My kids loved seeing the horses and running around the massive 'front yard' It's a quick drive to Catamount for skiing. It must be even more gorgeous in the fall! We did have a little issue with the house smelling like smoke for the 2nd half of our trip, which seemed to be from previous guests using the fireplace and then wind bringing the smoke down the chimney. But Christa was very responsive when I texted her about it!
We shot my thesis film here in the middle of October and it was Amazing experience! Many thanks for the help from owners, who helped a lot! My crew enjoyed the house and horses around and it was perfectly convenient for us, because house is very close to the town and grossery store is near by. Also we had everything that we need inside the house 🏠
It is very silent and peaceful place with many interesting rooms inside (I was interested very particular view inside and found it here). We felt a lot of freedom for creating the story. Also, there are amazing views outside of the home, especially in the early morning. I got so many good shoots and extremely happy about it!
We booked this property for a 4 day stay while visiting the Berkshires. The check-in process was the easiest ever; we met the owner at the entrance, she took us up to the property, gave some insight and left us in this wonderful peaceful farm. Kitchen is well equipped and so spacious.
Bedrooms and bathrooms are comfortable and very nice.
We were just four but we counted easily 10 people can stay without being on top of each other.
Waking up to the sunshine peaking through the windows and watching the deer and bunnies stroll the backyard was a gift.
The front porch is the place to be at the end of the day. It's really worth staying here. We want to come back during the fall, can't imagine how beautiful it will be.
We didn't have time to schedule a horse ride but we went to say hi to them in one of our morning walks.
Great find. Great host (she left some goodies for us) Thank you for opening your property, we had a great time.

Great home for a family vacation
What a great home for a family getaway! Situated on a 200 acre horse farm, the home is very comfortable, with 3 spacious bedrooms on the 2nd floor, a well equipped and stocked kitchen, and a garage, washer and dryer in the basement. If you have kids, there is an attic with 4 twin beds. The living room is very comfortable with a wood burning stove and lots of light. There is no central AC, but there are window units if it is hot. There is one TV in a small room off of the master BR. There is also WIFI. There is no TV in the LR. But this is a place to unwind, and escape the city, and not having to be connected all the time. It is there if you need it, but we just enjoyed being in the country.
The home is just 15- 30 minutes from Great Barrington, Tanglewood, and Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival. The city of Hudson is also close by. There are numerous parks, lakes and hiking trails only 30 minutes away. The local area is home to many farms, with a wonderful farmer's market in Great Barrington.
The host Christina, is exceptionally friendly and helpful. She is easily accessible by phone, and has a wealth of information regarding shopping, local fare and attractions. She has nicely appointed the house.
Overall, a great place to visit, close to everything but a world away from the bustle of the city. We will be back!
The host was great, lives close to the property, and met us a little early to get us checked in. Straightforward and easy. Beautiful property and house! Tons of space for a larger group. The kitchen had all the essentials for us to be able to cook a gourmet dinner! The host even left us some eggs, juice, wine, grapes coffee grinds, and more. The wood fire was great to have and the host provided the wood, fire starters, and lighter for us to use it. The only things that were not mentioned in the listing is that it is actually 2.5 baths, not 3 full baths. There are only 2 TVs, one in a small living room with 3 seats and the other on the 3rd floor where the small beds are. So if you wanted to watch a movie as a group, it would be difficult.
we were so delighted to stay at this beautiful home. we drove into this bucolic horse farm property and up to the house with a covered front porch with a view of the hills. The house is exactly as the pictures depict. Great kitchen fully stocked with everything you need to cook including basic condiments. A house warming gift awaited up. refrigerator had juice, eggs and coffee. mattresses were comfortable, sheets and towels in pristine condition. only one considerations for house full of guests. There are only 2 full bathrooms -- one in the master and one in the hall.(there is a 1/2 bathroom on the main floor) So if you are not about to share the master bath, showering can be tough. Third floor dormitory was great. other than that I would highly recommend this property.
The house, wonderfully set on an operating horse ranch on a hill with spectacular views, was great. The bedrooms were perfect, with some of the best beds I've experienced at a VRBO. The host was easily contacted amd responsive.
Reconnection & Revitalization in Bucolic Surroundings
The spacious Orchard House with its lush, green, peaceful surroundings provided a fantastic space for reconnecting with family and rejuvinating. We easily settled in to the large bedrooms with comfy beds, sweet bedding, soft sheets and fluffy down comfortors. The large, farm house kitchen was well equipped with plenty of cookware/tableware and well designed for several to help with prep/clean-up. While we enjoyed the layout, comfort and ease of the interior, the front porch --ample in size and furnishings -- was our hub. Looking out the long rolling lawn, ahead at the Berkshires in total relaxation (with the occassional sound a horse's whinny) was bliss. Christa was the most responsive, thoughtful and accommodating rental host I've experienced. Questions before and during our stay were promptly answered; flowers, a baguette, chocolates and local eggs were waiting for our arrival; and tips on using the home as well as activities for local activities/dining options were provided. All of this along with the incredible opportunity to walk down the hill and visit with beautiful horses being cared for by Christa's family and members of the local riding community. The BridleWood story is heartwarming and impressive. You'll be glad you've played a small part in helping realize its mission.
Enjoyed staying here, the house has many rooms with a lot of space including a beautiful large front porch with a nice view & a rear patio with a gas barbecue grill. Will definitely return.
We had a lovely long weekend stay at this property. It was our first time in the Berkshires and this property was a perfect way to enjoy it in pure isolated wilderness. The morning sunrise with the groups of deer grazing and the opportunity to see groups of horses roaming freely were highlights. We also snowboarded at Catamount mountain and the <10 min proximity was very convenient. The the host was v responsive and very kind. My brother's car battery died and the owner was quick to assist us by helping us jump the car. Overall a great stay and we would recommend it!
