Perfect little spot for a family of 4!We’ve stayed on the larger part of Big Pelican previously but preferred this location as it was tucked around on Fish Lake. The place had everything we needed to enjoy our vacation and host was responsive with questions.
Bedroom was actually the mechanical room with dresser and the bed was jammed in a corner! Only 1 outside garbage can that was completely full when we arrived and still full 4 days later. Had to pile ours on top.
I asked how many steps down to dock, 'No steps, just a path to the dock' was the response. Turned out to be quite steep - my spouse unable to get to the dock. The dock was little more than a few floating pallets. After towing our boat 180 miles we had no place to tie-up! Very sad.
Have pictures.

The main floor bedroom pictures in our listing accurately display the bedroom layout. It is not a mechanical room, but being it is a true lake cabin, there is a water heater in the far corner of the room that does not impact its usage. There is also the loft bedroom as well that other renters have really enjoyed. There are no steps to the lake, which is actually uncommon on Pelican Lake as our lot is one of the flattest in that area of the lake, but there is a pathway with gradual elevation change which was disclosed to the renter in advance. The dock is an actual aluminum dock with wood decking and depending on the size of the boat and driver experience a boat can easily be tied off. It is not floating pallets, renter is possibly referring to an old dock near the beach area. The garbage company missed all the garbage at our cabin that week due to the volume of trash from a renter who happily spent the prior 2 weeks with us at the cabin. This particular guest booked with 1 day prior notice and I informed him that we had just had a long term renter vacate and had not fully turned over the cabin yet, but they proceeded with the rental anyway.
