Cozy Beach Cabin

Welcome to our Cozy Beach Cabin right on the shores of the fantastic swimming and fishing lake of Big McDonald! Our cute, newly updated cabin has lots of character and is perfect for either your summer or winter getaway as a family or couple. Relax with the whole family at our peaceful Minnesota slice of paradise.

The space
Our cabin has a modular living/kitchen space with a newly installed fireplace for cozy late nights, and a tv for family movie time magic. Table sits 4 and there is a large fridge for storing all your vacation needs.

About The Lake

With crystal clear water and a nice sandy bottom, Big McDonald Lake has amazing fishing and swimming. The lake is less than 50 feet away and our lot has a personal beach, perfect for sunbathing and building sandcastles in. There is also a

Enjoy additional first-come, first-served access to a small community recreation area right across the street with:

And a beautiful elevated patio overlooking the fun. There is also a convenient fish cleaning building with two stations. Everything you need for unforgettable days on, and around the water. Note, there is some equipment for the community area, but because it is a shared space sometimes it goes walking. Please bring your own to ensure you have what you need :)

Surrounding Area

This cabin is located on a paved road, 0.1 mile to boat launch and 1 mile of paved road to a beautiful county bike path that runs from Perham to Maplewood State Park.

There are many local restaurants, coffee shops, and grocery stores in nearby Perham, only 15 minutes away.

Want to bring a bigger group? Just a mere 100 feet away we have a newly renovated house called the "Modern Rustic Lake House" which you can also rent for greater flexibility and fun.

The Cabin is indeed cozy! Comfortable furnishings and you cannot beat the view and proximity to the water. Hobby and I were able to totally unwind in our short four night stay. So much so we plan to come back next year and bring the fam! (Just stay a couple doors down).

We loved our stay at this cozy little cabin. The cabin was small but was so cute and charming. Even though it was small there was plenty of room for us. The beds were comfortable and had plenty of cozy blankets and extra bedding. The cabin had plenty of dishes and utensils and we loved the large refrigerator. The table had an extra leaf that we discovered so that was nice. There were lots of nice thick towels and beach towels. The cabin had some nice board games/puzzles and even some toys for the little ones. We absolutely loved the views with amazing windows. It was so amazing to have coffee every morning on the front patio and listen to all the loons. The beach front was sandy and the water so warm and clean. WHAT AN AMAZING SPOT FOR SWIMMING! We all enjoyed it so much. My daughter swam all day and evening. The lake was a great lake for fishing; my daughter had so much fun catching many fish. Jack the owner was wonderful to communicate with! Very helpful and always got back to me quickly. Thank you so much for an amazing stay!! We will definitely book this place again.

Great cabin on an awesome lake! We had such a fun time. The host was very accommodating, responsive, helpful & kind. The cabin was well stocked with everything we needed & very comfortable & clean. Lots of fun amenities - sandy beach, great fishing from the dock, kayak, basketball, pickleball, playset & more! Loved it!
