From the moment they arrived, they were respectful, friendly, and communicative. They treated my home with care, followed all the house rules and left everything tidy and clean. I highly recommend them to any future hosts and would love to welcome them back anytime!
This was a delightful, quirky but beautifully done house. The property from the listings photos are understated, its a wonderful place to get away. We even got to see some bears! (Safely from the inside) A mama and her cubs. The owner was extremely responsive, I didn't pay attention, and we arrived early and started to panic that our code didn't work, but they got back to us immediately. My son loved the stained glass excavator, and to look at the excavator outside. He is in his construction vehicle phase, so he loved that. The screened in porch and swing was the perfect spot to rest after a day adventuring. The house was child proofed, and appliances were nice. We really enjoyed our stay at this house. We do recommend for kids bring your own toys and books. The Spiral Staircase is in the listing, it should be no surprise to anyone it is present. There is no picture of it though, and its quirky in that there are no doors between the first floor kitchen and the upstairs bedroom. The "primary" bedroom is at the top the spiral staircase, and the secondary bedroom is off the primary bedroom. If you are looking for privacy, there is a bedroom in the basement (though we spent no time down there, so I can't say anything about it.) The spiral staircase is fairly narrow, but my wife son and I were able to navigate it. There is an easier to navigate outside staircase, which if you have larger luggage I would recommend using that.

We're so glad you enjoyed your stay at BearyHill Ridge — and how incredible that you got to see a mama bear and her cubs! Thank you for your kind and thoughtful review. I'm so sorry I forgot to mention that there are toys tucked inside all 4 footrests, as well as books and coloring books in the cabinet under the TV — I’ll be sure to add that detail to the house instructions for future guests.
We also appreciate you noting the unique layout and spiral staircase. Most guests enjoy the spiral stairs and find them to be part of the charm. The upstairs bedroom is actually quite private — it's difficult to see up into the room from the kitchen. As you said, for guests who prefer more sound separation, the bedrooms on the main floor and lower level are excellent alternatives. Thank you for your feedback, it’s always helpful for future guests to know what to expect.
It was truly a pleasure hosting you and your family. We’d love to welcome you back anytime for another mountain getaway!
We were touring around Vermont & New Hampshire staying at a new place every night. We only stayed at one VRBO, which was this one. The price was right! There are sweeping views of the valley and Cindy was amazing to work with. We wanted to go find bodies of water and she told us exactly where to go. She is also vert responsive And gave us ideas on which grocery store to buy food at to cook at the house. Everything was clean and the kitchen is the best stocked Vacation home we’ve ever gone to. (And we’ve gone to many!) Learning that the house is on well water was great… We all filled our bottles and drank a lot! We were disappointed to not be able to sit out on the patio until nighttime because there were lots of wasps around the front door. What everyone needs to know is that the staircase going upstairs and downstairs is small windy and metal. We left our suitcases downstairs as there was really no way to get them upstairs easily. I think you can do it from stairs outside, but again there were wasps all over out there. It worked out fine but it’s a maneuver for age 55+ ppl. Hopefully the wasps were just a problem while we were staying there- Or Maybe East coaster people have learned to live with them better than us West Coast people have ?!) We saw a lot of wasp nests on our trip in Vt. And NH!
Beds were very comfortable! The views are amazing. The shower on the main level was beautiful! Sheets and towels were nice and soft. .

It was a pleasure having you at our home! I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay! Yes, we have spiral stairs. Most people find them fun but we also have the outside entrances to each level with regular stairs for people who prefer that. The wasps are a new issue for us this year. We hired professional exterminators and they didn't find hives on the house anywhere. We continue to work with them to remedy the problem. The behavior seems to have something to do with the cooler temperatures and needing to warm up. They told us this has been a bad year for them in New England. (which you seemed to have experienced in your travels). They are not present in the morning and evening. Just during the middle of the day when they are coming to the sunny side of the house to warm up. The good thing is the exterminators said they are focused on warming up and are very docile and not aggressive.
