About this property
Blue Sky Beach Bungalow East Orleans
Lovely fresh cotton linens included and beds made!
A great little walk to East Orleans Center with ice cream, a gourmet Farm Market, 3 wonderful restaurants, one of a kind shops, and a fun active salt water boat landing. Five minutes/1.3 miles to oceanside Nauset Beach, under 10 minutes/2 miles to bayside Skaket Beach!
You will be thrilled to come home to this classy fun contemporary yet cozy chic home wrapped in gardens, huge sunny deck and very private! A marriage of old and new architecture keep this place super interesting and well laid out. 2 bedrooms one full bath downstairs, one bedroom with full bath on the 2nd floor, loft, well equipped kitchen, huge new deck with table/chairs/umbrella/grill. Hammocks/adirondack chairs/badminton in the yard. Moments from all you need!
***I decided years ago to enact a "pet considered" policy. I LOVE dogs, but only want super responsible dog owners, in order to keep it working as a pet considered property. My beloved cleaning girl has also BEGGED me to only take in non shedding breeds (she's amazing and I wouldnt be able to do it without her so I need to keep her happy!!! It is an impeccably well cared for home, and I want it to be that way for ALL renters. I have lost favorite furniture, gardens, carpets by even considering it. Though I want you to be able to have the option (along with the responsibility) of having your sweetie with you! For this reason I charge a pet fee (less than a kennel would cost AND you're able to have your buddy on vacation with you) to account for there simply being more wear and tear on the property, and stress on myself, my partner, and beloved cleaning girl... than would exist with a family coming with NO dog (as many do). It's my way of being flexible on the whole "NO DOGS ALLOWED" thing. I just wanted to clarify this as it's come up a few times.***
In season (roughly June - Labor Day) this property is available on a Saturday -Saturday check in/out. Other times of year we have a 4 night minimum.

Jennifer’s house is comfortable, clean and fully up-to-date. It’s also well-located, a short drive away from beautiful Nauset beach, and excellent grocery (Friends) and fresh seafood stores (the Lobster Pool). We had a lovely stay.
My family had a wonderful stay at Jennifer's property. The house was very private, but very close to Orleans and beaches. We loved having a well furnished kitchen, and took full advantage of the lobster pot. Would stay here again!
This is the second time we have stayed at this property. Both times were terrific. Jen updated the house from the last time we were there, and the renovations were beautiful. The house is in the perfect location close to everything you would want to do. Jen made the process super easy and was very communicative. We enjoyed coming back to the house after days put exploring and being able to relax.. we will be back again and highly recommend!

Open and Beautiful
It's beautiful home that has a large airy living room with a wall of windows looking out on to the deck. Our whole family gathers in there to put together puzzles and play games. We love that the washer and dryer is on the first floor and our kids love the sleeping loft.
The house was beautiful and the perfect location for our family cape vacation. The house is set back from the main road and very quiet/peaceful but also a short drive to both beaches and downtown Orleans. We loved the outdoor space and utilized the grill most nights for dinner. The house layout was perfect for our family. My toddler particularly loved the book and toy collection. Jennifer was easy to communicate with prior to and throughout our stay. Would 100% come back!
My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Orleans area and visiting surrounding areas. We were pleased with the property, location and amenities until we were slapped with a damage charge two weeks after check-out for a scratched kitchen sink. Travelers beware !

I was pleased (as always! :) ) that Scott and his party of 6 adults enjoyed my property, as I pride myself in working VERY hard to make it enjoyable and beautiful for each family! I rent each summer in order to slowly remodel different parts of the house, so when the beautiful new stainless steel sink looked like it had been cleaned with a corkscrew (aka- damage...) I withheld part of your damage deposit. That's what it's for. Apparently that left a negative memory of your stay, as did the damaged new kitchen sink to me. A most unfortunate end to your stay. I didn't think to keep enough of it to pay for installation of a new one as well, so I will need to pay for that out-of-pocket. It took me 2 weeks because it was difficult to locate how to hold back part of the damage deposit - (that process moved since Homeaway and VRBO merged, and I'd only ever needed to do that one other time in 10 years) while running 3 local businesses. Sorry for the delay there. "Travelers beware?" I look at it as a reminder to not damage other peoples property, which most folks manage to not do.
Jennifer from the start was very responsive and accommodating. Any questions we had she would get back to us in a timely manner.
Her beautiful home was clean, it had the right amount of space for our family and perfectly located. We felt right at home!!
Thank you for sharing it with us.
There are so many great reviews of Jennifer's house, I don't have much else to add but I'll reiterate a few things already mentioned: She is a wonderful host and if you are fortunate to meet her, as we did, you will see why. Great old-style, charming Cape house but with interesting architecture inside. Good sized property with a well-maintained yard with plenty of chairs for relaxing and enjoying the foliage and birds. Great location walking distance to town but set back off Main Street so you have the feeling you are away from it all. Highly recommend.
Our family enjoyed a great week at this beautiful house. If anything, the online pictures don't do it justice. The space is great for a family and we enjoyed the proximity to all Orleans has to offer.
Jennifer could not have been more attentive- both before and during our visit.
We have been visiting Orleans for years and when our regular vacation rental was not available this year, we were very picky about where to stay- but we could not have made a better choice!
Loved this house! It's been redone and the decor is very cool. It's filled with light and a lovely place to spend time. Bathrooms are beautiful. The deck right off the kitchen/living area makes for a perfect indoor/outdoor living experience.
Location is great - it's 5 minutes to Nauset Beach, close to the center of Orleans and easy access to route 6. Even though it's on Main St., it is a rear lot on a shared driveway so very private. The yard is lovely.
Jennifer was very attentive and easy to work with. We would definately stay again.

Great house in the heart of Orleans.
We thoroughly enjoyed our week stay in this lovely, neat, clean contemporary cottage located off the Nauset Beach Rd. The owner Jennifer could not have been nicer and more helpful. She even went to the office at Nauset Beach to get us the info for the beach parking pass! We had a slight issue with the sliding screen door to the deck that was off its track and her partner came right over and took care of it. The house was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed to cook at home including a Weber grill on the large deck. The only downsides (and it was minor) was the laundry room was tiny and a bit tight and the TV could use an upgrade. The grounds were well landscaped with nice flowers and plants everywhere. All in all, a great spot and very convenient to Nauset Beach and town.

Hi Anthony, im so glad you enjoyed the house and your vacation!
Thanks for the feedback-
I don't know if you looked around much but we feel grateful that we figured out how to put in a washer and dryer for guests to use at ALL! There is absolutely no extra room for it besides what we did - Im just happy its there, new, and works great! :)
We just might upgrade the TV due to your feedback. I ONLY watch netflix on my laptop so i didn't even know what you meant by upgrading the flatscreen. Ive asked around about it and have learned about smart tvs etc. News to me- thanks again!
We sure hope you and your family enjoy the rest of the summer.
Our family of 4 adults and one dog enjoyed our week at this house. Two of the bedrooms are in the older original house, while the rest of the house feels like a newer, bright, open and spacious addition with high vaulted ceilings, large wooden beams and tons of light. As an added bonus, there is a lovely loft area with a double bed that’s not mentioned in the listing. The house is well appointed and nicely decorated in a casual, artistic beachy style (“coastal chic”), set back from a main road at a distance (behind another house) in a very private setting. Nauset Beach is a short drive away. We enjoyed the outdoor shower, collection of games, large front porch and lovely gardens surrounding the house. Jennifer was very responsive and helpful both before and during our stay.
The house was bright and open, set back from the road and surrounded by trees. Nauset and Skaket beaches are close by and when you come back from a day at the beach, you can use the outdoor shower and relax in the hammock or grill on the porch. The house was perfect for kids and really felt like a home away from home. Great restaurants and coffee nearby and the bowling alley and bbq was perfect for a rainy day. Can’t wait to come back.
We had a great stay in this cozy gem close to town and Orleans beaches. The house was close to everything you’d want in a vacation rental but very private as well. Jennifer was great to work with and we look forward to staying there again in the future.
Jennifer's house is quaint and comfortable in all the right ways. It's a mix of the old original cottage and some newer updates, all decorated with a Cape cottage style that doesn't feel overdone. The front deck and table with umbrella were a wonderful place to hang out and the outdoor shower was wonderful. We also enjoyed the assortment of games, puzzles, and books she had available! Jennifer was attentive and accessible if we needed her and gave ample warning before coming over to tend to the grass and the gardens. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to coming back next year!
We had a wonderful time and made many new family memories. The house is in a great location. Close to Nauset Beach, ice cream and other places to eat. It feels very private even though it’s on a main road. Great deck to hang out and grill or enjoy your morning coffee watching and listening to the birds. Variety of board games, etc for game night. Beds are comfortable and the outdoor shower was awesome. The house cools off quickly with the a/c which was needed for the couple of hot and humid days while we were there. Jennifer was great. She responded quickly with any questions that we had and made sure everything was ok.
We had an amazing relaxing time in Orleans, and the stay Jennifer’s house was the best! The house was super clean, cozy and close to the beach and town. Jennifer went out of her way to make sure all was well and we were comfortable. We’ll be back for a visit for sure!
My husband and I loved staying in this charming, light-filled house. The decor is a delight, the beds & furnishings are comfy, and the location is great: very central, but set well back from the street and surrounded by trees, so that it's quiet and feels like country. On the deck birds frolic in the birdbath, and we were luck to see two young deer just outside the house. Over the course of a week we visited 6 different beaches on the Cape, none further than about 30 minutes (Nauset & Skaket are much closer) and had a wonderful, relaxing time. Jennifer is a very conscientious host and the property was exactly as described online. So glad we went!
I couldn't have asked for more. This house is brilliant and stunning down to the smallest detail. The whole house was perfectly curated to enhance my Cape Cod experience and Jennifer was so very kind to interact with. I only wish that I could have met her in person to tell her how much I appreciated her hospitality and thoughtfulness. All of this made for a very pleasant stay despite the fact that I was there on the melancholy errand of my Father's memorial. Highly recommend this property- 10/10. Thank you!
I've been to many parts of the Cape but fell in love with Orleans. Lovely vacation spot, the cottage is very clean, comfortable and inviting. The owner was easy to communicate with and all our needs were addressed promptly. We enjoyed our stay.
The gardens on this property are beautiful and the setting very private yet within walking distance to a wonderful country store. Jennifer stays in touch and is available if needed. The house is comfortable and open. We enjoyed our stay!
The house is adorable and the location was fantastic for us. We have stayed in Orleans many years and this home was our favorite so far. Jennifer was easy to deal with and quick to respond. Highly recommend.
We had a great stay! Jennifer is incredibly responsive and the house was wonderful! We had some internet/cable issues and she did her best to fix them as quickly as possible. I know it varies from house to house, so you definitely want to make sure you have soap, hand towels, and towels in addition to sheets. She has towels for the kitchen.
Highlights were the outdoor shower, it's proximity to everything, and the peacefulness of the house tucked back off the main road. It was great! I can't wait to come back!
This was by far one of the best properties we have rented on the cape. Great location, lots of privacy but close to all the beaches and restaurants. The house itself exceed expectations. Very spacious, well decorated, extremely clean, great outdoor space. Looking forward to returning again next year!

About the host
Hosted by Jennifer Budryk
Ive lived in East Orleans year round for the past 43 years and will happily share any information you'll need to make this the most memorable vacation yet! My other home and business are a block away, so i can help you should anything come up (unless I'm underwater - my favorite place to be!)
I have 2 businesses - celebrating my 25th year in both the small garden design and installation business, helping to keep Orleans beautiful, and a 25 year old popular muscular therapy/massage office. (edit: I sadly had to give up the garden biz several years ago to focus on my massage clients.)
With loads of local knowledge and contacts, i can assist you or direct you towards anything you might desire to have the seaside vacation of your dreams. Everyone who visits my awesome home returns!
Why they chose this property
East Orleans is a gem, with Nauset Beach, loads of saltwater landings and fresh water ponds/lakes to choose from, all within 2 miles. Our sweet private house - tucked far back from Main St - while still being ON Main St, is central to it all!
What makes this property unique
Renters love not only the uniqueness and openness of my home but the PRIVACY. You can easily walk out to Main St, but the house is far behind another house that actually IS on the main road (hence the 170 "A" ). You're not out in the middle of nowhere but you kind of feel as if you ARE!
It's lovely to hear the church bells a few properties away, or walk down to River Road Landing to take in the incredible scenery. Bring a fishing pole, net crabs (nets at the house), watch the boaters, take a dip or simply walk off dinner! You can walk up to Nauset Farms for coffee, baked goodies, beach sandwiches and dinner items! If you prefer to dine out, also a walk to Whisk (breakfast and lunch), The Rail (breakfast lunch and dinner), and the Barley Neck (dinner/music) with Smitty's Ice Cream all too conveniently located in the middle for a little treat on the way home! : )
Though we have regular TVs also, renters here have loved watching "natures TV" hahaha - the bird and chipmunk activity from the adirondack chairs on the deck (difficult to leave...) or from the lounge chairs or 2 hammocks right nearby in the yard (a.k.a. "playing field" if you love yard games - i have several). We get Orioles, goldfinch, red winged black birds, chickadees, cardinals, blue jays, along with hawks and osprey frequently soaring high above, and sometimes bluebirds!! I feed the birds and offer them a birdbath, and they definitely show off in thanks :).
At the end of the day, the beds are so comfy and the bedrooms are well spaced from one another for privacy, once conversation moves inside to the living room. TV with cable and movies for all ages are there if you've had enough chit chat! Otherwise PLEASE feel free to borrow one of my books - I've curated a large bookcase with favorites of mine for babies up to the eldest in your party to enjoy. Ive always been a bookworm so I've had fun collecting a wide variety for all ages, including an almost complete set of Nancy Drew mysteries!
