Set in a quiet community at the mouth of the canyon, the Sol Studio offers stunning views, authentic Southwest charm, and immediate access to some of Northern New Mexico’s best skiing, hiking, art, and food.

The studio is located in a quiet, rural community at the base of the canyon to Taos Ski Valley.
4-wheel-drive is recommended to access the property via dirt road. Snow tires are additionally recommended in winter.
The property has a keypad lock that allows you to come and go without having to worry about keys. Each guest is provided a unique code during their stay for enhanced security. Please note that the front door access is shared between this studio and two others. Guests from all three studios have front door access, but only you have access to your private studio.
Please note that climbing three flights of stairs is required.
Step inside and feel the Southwest surround you. The Sol Studio features Saltillo tile floors, traditional viga beams, and locally inspired art, creating a warm and inviting ambiance. Relax and unwind with:
- High-speed WiFi and a streaming TV (Hulu, Netflix, Max, Disney+)
- King-size memory foam bed with down pillows and premium linens
- Wood-burning fireplace and two movable hammocks for morning coffee or evening stargazing
- Private balcony with bistro seating and panoramic views of the Rio Hondo River Valley
The well-equipped kitchenette includes a mini fridge, air fryer, two-burner stove, espresso machine, drip coffee maker, kettle, and cookware. Essentials like coffee, spices, and cooking oil are provided. Please note: the studio does not have AC.
A glass sliding door with a screen connects the balcony to the studio, allowing fresh mountain air to flow through on warm summer nights. A closet provides storage for skis, hiking gear, or other outdoor equipment.
From road 150 headed towards the canyon turn (sharply) left onto road 230. Follow 230 until you see the 'Hacienda del Valdez' sign on your right. This is a dirt road and 4-wheel drive is required. Follow the road up the hill. The condo building is on your right (the 3-tiered building). Park in front of or to the right of the building and follow the middle red staircase to Unit 10. Your studio is one of the three located inside.
