Kitchen was well equipped, but it was dimly lit and light over the range emitted lighted directly towards the line of sight.

Thank you for your review and comments. We appreciate your letting us know about the kitchen lighting and will work on improving it. We hope you otherwise enjoyed your stay and we would be happy to host you again.
I am grateful for this space - just the right place for me to find a mindful get away from the city. I stayed in for most of my stay to find some quiet and this is what I got. Thank you!

Moses, thank you so much for your review. We are very pleased that you found our place comfortable. We would love to have you back.
We had a really wonderful five-night stay. The hosts were great and emailed a welcome packet with helpful tips about the house and the area. The place was spotless, the kitchen was well equipped, and the access to a washer and drier was helpful. Best of all was just the house’s vibe. It’s decorated with such warmth and joy - we loved all the art and books and good light. If I could spirit myself back to the comfortable patio rockers for another sunset, I would! Could easily spend some rainy days inside with all of the books. We enjoyed evening walks through the neighborhood and the 360 views from the plateau to the mountains. The house is situated a little farther away from town but we liked area and found it really handy for getting to many area points of interest, like the Rio Grande Gorge, Earthships, Ojo Caliente, Arroyo Seco, etc. as well as restaurants. We highly recommend and hope to return someday.

Really neat place to stay!
Everything was as good as or better than expected. The property is close enough to town to make a quick trip if needed, but far enough out that you don't feel crowded. We loved the solitude and the views. The house itself was really a neat place, we easily found what we needed. Definitely plan on coming back!!

The most beautiful place to stay
We were floored by the beauty of this home. Everything you may need from charm, to books, to coziness, to kitchen gadgets everything was exceptional and extremely clean. The home feels like the perfect new mexico getaway. Open concept yet lots of space for privacy. The view is stunning. Communication with host was easy. I will stay here again for many years to come

The home was even better in person! Looking out each window offered another beautiful view. The heated floors made the home feel like a big hug. The bed was super comfortable and the whole experience was very peaceful. We wish it would have been warmer so we could have enjoyed coffee on the patio but will have to come for another visit in a warmer time of year. Our family of 4 had plenty of space to spread out. We would recommend to others and hope to come again.

Homeowner's Response: "Mary, thank you so much for your review. We are happy that you and your family enjoyed yourselves, and we look forward to your return."
The location was quiet and relaxing. If you don’t mind being a little out of town, it’s the perfect place to stay. There’s no AC, but the Adobe home is very comfy in the morning, and the evenings. Can’t attest to the days as we were out and about during that time. We would recommend some lounge chairs or rockers on the back patio for mountain sunset viewing pleasure. Also, beware of the Speed Humps on Upper Los Colonias on the way to Sugar Road. The signs are literally at the Hump, what a ride! We would definitely stay here again.
This beautiful adobe casita was just what we were looking for. All we wanted and needed was a place to rest and relax. Our host/owner Michael was very responsive when needed. We especially enjoyed the views from the front porch to the back patio. Lots of Mountain Views. We will be back as soon as possible to enjoy and relax in this beautifully decorated and refreshing outdoors of this home. Thank you, Michael for sharing your home with us! We loved it!

Casita review
Beds striped. Sheets in pile on floor. Not cleaned after last guest. Had to find other accommodations in the dark trying to make our way back to Taos on twisty back roads.
We loved our time in this little cottage. The views are great and the outdoor space is wonderful and welcoming — you’ll find yourself outside often in the beautiful courtyard! We especially loved the pots and pans selection for cooking nice dinners. I appreciated how comfortable the mattress is in the main room and LOVED that there’s a large window you can stare out of while you’re lying in bed, to catch the stars and then the beautiful pastels of the morning! Be ware of the super cute black and white cat that adamantly attempts to sneak into the house when your back is turned (it tore open a bag and ate almost all of our focaccia…poor kitty).
The property was great. We had no issues with the accommodations. The beds were adequate. Bath was fine. Some previous guests had left the dishes only half-way washed, but that's not the owner's fault. I do wish I had known that the distance to town was irrelevant because the roads to get to the house were very narrow and very winding. We did fine, but knowing how carsick my family gets, this would have been nice to know in advance.

From the owner: "Danny, Thank you for your review. We are happy that you enjoyed your stay. I’m sorry about the dishes not being completely washed. We do check the home prior to guests arrival to ensure that the previous guests left it in good condition but some things might not be apparent during the inspection. As for the roads, much of rural NM is serviced by unpaved roads and we do note that the property has a dirt/ gravel driveway and that it is accessed by a dirt road. I’m happy that it wasn’t an issue for you, though."
From the owner: "Thank you for your review, Carrie. We would greatly appreciate it if you could specify any concerns you may have had so that we can address them accordingly."
