About the host
Hosted by Drew Darden

My name is Drew Darden. My family and I are from Saint George, SC. We love to camp at our property and would love for others to enjoy it as well.
Why they chose this property
My wife grew up spending time in Saluda as her grandparents had a house there. While the house is gone, the land now belongs to us. My wife and I enjoy making new memories there with our daughter. We spend time playing in the stream, sitting outside in the summer watching the fireflies and walking down the road collecting wild raspberries.
What makes this property unique
Park your RV along side Joel's Creek and open up the windows for the stream noise to drift you off to sleep. Great for cyclist in the area. Site is on a frequently used cycling route.
The Hemlock site (#2) has a rock pad that looks over one of the bends on Joel's Creek. It is nested next to a few Hemlock trees that hang over into that creek bend. The other campsite (#1) is roughly 100 feet away so its not to close. Great for a pair of campers wanting to camp together. They share a water spigot that is next to the well. This site is right off of the gravel road.
Camp site has a fairly level stone base.
50 amp hookup available. Recommend for smaller RVs to adapt down. (Adaptors available onsite if needed.)
Water hookup available. (Will need approximately 75 ft. of water hose. Extra hose available onsite if needed.)
No septic hookup available. However, there is a septic tank on the property that you may use. Must transfer by portable tank only as you will have to cross over the creek via walking bridge to get to it.
Portion of property has a small amount of remains from an old house that was demoed. (Intentions to rebuild) Campsite is clear.
Verizon cell phone service is not available on site, AT&T is very minimal. Must head back up towards town for service. It's nice to step away from the tech world for a bit.
Camping World is 30 minutes away in case needed. (Asheville & Spartanburg)
