Saluda is home to this cabin. Carl Sandburg Home National Historic Site and Connemara are local landmarks, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Tryon Country Club and Green River Cove Tubing. What a beautiful getaway! Love the location, seculed and beautiful. Only a few minutes from downtown. The mountain roads can be intimidating, but give it a little gas and you'll be fine. The Saluda grade is right there if you are into railroad history. The cabin is charming and quaint. It's perfect for relaxing and the decks are great for reading a book. Everything you might need is there.
I almost don’t want to review because I loved it so much. I want to keep it a best kept secret! But it was absolutely wonderful. Clean, peaceful, breath taking location. Michelle was very helpful. Thank you! I will be back for my next trip to North Carolina!!
The cabin met all of our expectations! We loved its secluded location and charm, yet it was still close to town. We were able to allow our pups out without being worried about a busy road and close neighbors. It was just what we were looking for on this trip!
Quiet setting surrounded by woods, large comfortable deck arrangements, rustic cabin with all the amenities we needed. Very clean and comfortable inside. Host and property manager very responsive.
We had a nice, long weekend at the Owl’s Nest. The deck was a great place to relax. The weather was enjoyable and it was the perfect quiet getaway we were looking for.
Perfect little cabin for a couples get away. We enjoyed the slower pace for the weekend; a much needed retreat.

Cabin was not very clean from the moment we opened the door. Smelt very musty and was dusty. Wet linens left in dryer. Kitchen was not very clean. Stove drip pans were so dirty that they had to be cleaned before we could use the stove. I contacted owner after stay to inform on condition of property but owner made excuse that cleaning service must have been distracted with her kids and the holiday. Just said thank you for letting her know. I do not ever give poor ratings on a stay but was not happy at all with this cabin and its condition when we arrived.

We hope guests will contact us immediately with any concerns. Very upsetting, and very unusual, to hear the cabin was anything other than spotless. An apology and possible explanation is the only option after departure. This review was received four months after guests stay and have had nothing but excellent reviews since that time so I feel confident this was an isolated issue and we have worked hard to ensure it doesn’t happen again.
This cabin was awesome. Pretty remote but also close to town. They were not kidding about needing AWD/4WD. The road to the house was steep and slick from rain and the driveway was also steep. I have an AWD suv, it did good but I really tested it at this cabin. The cabin is so cozy and perfect for a mountain getaway.
This beautiful cabin was the perfect getaway for a girls weekend. Cozy and clean, and a short hike to the cutest town with some amazing food. If A/C is an improtant part of your vacation then rest assured that a nap in the loft will change your life. It is much bigger than it appears in the photos. We will definitely be visiting again.
My husband and I stayed in this property in March for two nights. The cabin is rustic and is true to the pictures as well as the descriptions online. If you’re looking for a quiet getaway, look no further. We would most definitely stay here again
I LOVED this cabin! It was exactly the cabin feel I was going for on my solo mom-vacation. Instructions were simple and I had everything I needed. Perfect location, far off in the woods. The host wasn’t joking when she said you need 4WD - the dirt/gravel road is about 2 miles, with lots of steep inclines. My 4WD handled it fine, just be aware. I will absolutely be back!! Thank you for such a lovely and peaceful stay in adorable Saluda
