Escape to this spacious waterfront cabin on Browns Lake, Wisconsin—perfect for up to 12 guests and offering a peaceful retreat just 45 minutes from Milwaukee and an hour from Chicago.
Near Lake Geneva, Wilmot Ski Hill, Alpine Valley, Racine Fairgrounds, Country Thunder, Browns Lake Golf Course, Burlington water park and wedding venues like 1841 Farms and Mercantile Hall, it’s perfect for both serene retreats and adventure-filled vacations.
Set on a half an acre lot, this cabin provides a tranquil environment. Take advantage of the private pier for mooring your boat, canoeing, kayaking, and fishing, or paddle past the bridge and dive into the refreshing waters. For more lakeside fun, take a quick 5-minute walk to the private community beach for sandy bottom swimming or to unwind while soaking in breathtaking sunset views (pier usually installed Memorial Day-Labor Day).
At night time, gather around the firepit for a cozy evening of roasting s'mores and sipping on complimentary hot chocolate.
Browns Lake is a fully recreational lake, ideal for swimming, fishing, and all kinds of water sports. The nearby area boasts charming farms for pumpkin and fruit picking in the fall, and the lake transforms into a perfect spot for ice fishing in the winter!

This charming waterfront cabin, originally built in the 1940s and thoughtfully updated, combines rustic charm with modern amenities. Accommodating up to 12 guests across 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, it features a spacious living room with a custom stone wood-burning fireplace (decoration only, not for use) and a cozy kids’ loft with books, games, and an extra pull-out sleeper. The cabin’s original woodwork and warm interiors create a welcoming atmosphere.
The large dining room seats up to 12, and the fully equipped kitchen includes modern stainless steel appliances, an air fryer, toaster oven, and microwave.
Outside, enjoy grilling on the patio with ample seating and provided outdoor seating, dishes, as well as propane tanks.

Wake up to the soft light of dawn filtering through the windows and step onto the patio for a stunning view of the channel and lake. Prepare to spend most of your time enjoying the great outdoors with a large patio equipped with a grill and ample seating, overlooking the serene channel.
Launch kayaks, paddle boards, a pedal boat, and a canoe from the private dock or enjoy a game of cornhole, giant Jenga, or Connect Four in the spacious yard. At night, gather around the fire pit by the water.
Fishing from our private dock offers a chance to catch panfish, bass (limited), catfish/carp and northern pike.
Lake Activities:
Browns Lake is a fully recreational 400 acre lake, perfect for swimming, year round fishing, and boating. Its clear waters are ideal for all water enthusiasts.
Enjoy access to two beaches: a public beach at Fischer Park with a boat launch (less than a 5 minute drive—- $3 cash per person ages 6+) and a private community beach (a short walk away, free), featuring sand-bottom swimming, volleyball, and breathtaking sunsets.
Launch your own boat at Fischer County Park Boat Launch (small fee) and moor it at our home's large dock/pier.
We recommend that boats have engine trim/tilt and biminis that lower to navigate our channel's viaduct and sometimes shallow water.
Come watch the FREE Aquaducks shows Thursdays at Fischer Park (Memorial Day through Labor Day).
