The Space:
You step onto the wraparound deck and feel the crisp mountain air settle around you, the scent of pine mingling with the faint steam rising from the brand‑new hot tub. Inside, the high ceilings amplify the crackle of the wood‑burning fireplace, inviting you to unwind after a day on the trails. The cabin’s newly renovated charm blends comfort with the quiet of the woods, offering a perfect backdrop for family laughter or a relaxed evening with friends.
Sleeping arrangements
Four spacious bedrooms provide ample rest: one king bed, two queen beds, and two sets of twin bunk beds. Two full bathrooms serve the group, and the great room offers plenty of seating for game nights or movie marathons on the Smart TV with Wi‑Fi.
Living space
The large living area centers on a wood‑burning fireplace, complemented by baseboard heaters and window AC for year‑round comfort. A Smart TV lets you stream your favorite shows, and high‑speed Wi‑Fi is available, though the remote mountain location can make the signal spotty at times.
Kitchen & dining
A fully stocked kitchen includes all the comforts of home, though only two burners on the stove are currently functional. Adjacent is a dining table that seats ten, ideal for shared meals after a day of exploring.
Outdoor living
Step onto the expansive deck to fire up the propane grill or soak in the hot tub while the sunset paints the hills. Miles of hiking trails wind nearby, offering winter walks through snow‑kissed forests. The cabin sits 17 steps up to the entrance—part of its rustic charm, so plan for luggage handling.
Neighborhood & activities
A short 5‑minute drive brings you to Berkeley Springs State Park, where a historic mineral spa offers warm spring water at a constant 74.3 °F. Cacapon State Park, about 20 minutes away, provides extensive trails for winter hiking. The town of Berkeley Springs offers breweries, wineries, cafés, art galleries, and shops—all within a brief drive. While the community pool is not available to guests, we can recommend nearby swimming holes and other water‑friendly spots for warmer days.
Things to note
We are family‑ and dog‑friendly, and our three kids and dog often join us here. The cleaning team sweeps the deck and walkways before each stay, but natural leaves and pollen may still be present, especially in season. The hot tub is private to guests, and the deck offers plenty of seating for your group. Embrace the mountain escape, relax in the tub, and let the serene setting of Silver Crest become your home away from home.
