The cottage had plenty of space and a long dock. The paddle boards and canoe were enjoyable. We found that the farm stand near the wetland sanctuary sold worms which helped for fishing.
This property was everything promised and more, so well-maintained and cozy! My family and I enjoyed sitting outside and fishing off the dock while watching the wildlife all around. Also, the cottage was well-equipped, they thought of everything! We would love to revisit some time!
The home was nice and clean. It was so pretty sitting right on the lake. It would be awesome in the summer time to stay! It was a little too cold to be outside. We would definitely stay again!
Nice little getaway not too far from home. Home is quite relaxing, view is beautiful, wildlife everywhere, and the fishing is also good! My husband and I had a good weekend and some time to recharge!

This property was perfect for our needs. It is a quiet lake with several options for entertainment in the area. The cottage had everything we needed and more. It was supplied with linens, towels, toiletries, yard chairs, fishing poles, a canoe, a flat bottom boat, paddle boards, a a couple of kids kayaks. The property was also very clean and had plenty of room to sleep 6. The host responded to any questions we had within a couple of minutes. We would highly recommend this cottage to anyone interested in staying in the area.
This VRBO was incredible!!! The beautiful lake views in the back made for such a peaceful and calming atmosphere. It felt like a cozy home away from home. The host checked in often to make sure we were comfortable. Thank you for providing such a wonderful space. I highly recommend it to anyone loling for a relaxing retreat.

I secured this place so my daughter and I could visit with my other daughter and her family without bothering their day to day activities. I saw my granddaughter play the part of Sally in the Musical version of “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown” on three different occasions at the local community college where she is majoring in theater and fine arts.
Marvelous piece to spend time with family! Couple of comments... Bedding is super comfy! Kitchen is lacking some basics: a 10" skillet/fry pan would be very helpful. Also a dish drainer is a huge necessity. We had no idea where to take trash. One son took it with him since he was at a campground and our daughter took the rest home with her.
We stayed at this cabin in Wayland, NY from July 12–15 with two adults, four kids, and zero regrets. The place was peaceful, well-stocked, and surprisingly private, considering the houses are right next to each other—we barely saw another soul all weekend (except for some ants, but more on them later). The check-in process was extremely simple. The view of the lake was beautiful—especially during a rainstorm. We spent ages just swinging on the porch, watching the rain fall on the water and ripple around the lily pads. We saw fish and turtles and chipmunks, and bunnies casually wandered through the yard like they owned the place. The kids were delighted. So were we, honestly. The proximity to multiple state parks is really handy, too.A couple of things to keep in mind: the parking is tight, the stairs are a bit of a thigh workout (especially if your knees complain like mine), and the ants? Let’s just say they’ve been bulking up on East Coast protein. Still, they mostly minded their own business. All in all, it was a lovely, cozy, low-key escape that hit all the right notes for a family-friendly getaway. Would definitely stay again.
