About this property

The Mission House- located in the Finger Lakes. Hike & bird watch. EV charger.

Welcome to The Mission House. Our home is located on a quiet country road in the Finger Lakes Area of Western NY. We are located about 10-15 minutes south of Canandaigua Lake, one hour south of Rochester and about 45 minutes north of Corning. We are centrally located to wineries, breweries, hiking trails, ski resorts (Swain, Bristol), fishing, Canandaigua and Keuka Lake and two state parks (Letchworth and Stony Brook.) It truly is a beautiful area with lots to do!

At The Mission House, we have trails throughout our wooded property for walking, hiking, and cross country skiing. There is a NYS trout stream on the property. We have a bird feed station, so you can sit on the porch and watch the native birds. If you enjoy nature, this a great place to rest, relax and take in the scenery.

Our home has Stickley (mission style) furniture throughout.
There is an open concept main floor with kitchen, living room and dining room.

The kitchen has all the amenities you would have in your home, including a Keurig, toaster oven, microwave, oven, frig, and dishwasher. There is also a wine frig. Island seating centers the kitchen for conversation and added work space. The dining area is large and inviting. We also have a large covered porch off the kitchen for eating, relaxing after a long hike, watching the birds or just taking in the view. If you prefer to cook outside there is a grill located just off the porch. A work area is located in the central space also.

There is plenty of seating in the the living room area to visit with friends, cuddle up with a book or watch a movie on our large screened TV.

There are two large bedrooms available with king sized beds with cotton linens. There are blackout blinds in each of our bedrooms, so you can have a good night's sleep. You will also find two full bathrooms with double sink vanities, large mirrors, large showers and cotton towels.

We have a firepit with Adirondack chairs for you to enjoy a beautiful evening. Kindling, starter, and fire wood are available for your use.

Our laundry room has a washer and dryer with space for folding clothing. There is plenty of closet space throughout the house for your clothing storage needs. Our home has central air conditioning and a generator.

You won't find a better place to kick back, relax and unwind.

A beautiful secluded bird sanctuary in the NY mountains. Close to waterfalls, finger lakes, and Niagara. A great location to spend a secluded week.

The house is full of high end fixtures, decor, linens, etc. modern mission style that is African Safari theme. All modern amenities provided in a very well kept property. Very secluded location and quiet. One of the best we have ever rented by far.

This place was beautiful. Every amenity you could think of was available for us. From well stocked cupboards and kitchn to luxurious linens and towels. Complimentary coffee, bottle of wine,all paper products, soap, shampoo etc. Just so well stocked! Beds were comfortable. Property is beautiful with some walking trails and i could've just sat and watched the birdfeeders for hours. Also location was remote yet close to nearby cute Town of Naples and other popular places. We definitely will be back. We just loved this place.

Cozy Home!

Property was great. Easy to get to from the highway. Beds were cozy, showers were amazing with the rain type shower heads, relaxing on the porch watching the birds and even a deer was amazing! Enjoyed exploring the finger lakes area

The Mission House a peaceful getaway

The Mission House was the perfect getaway for us. We loved the mission style decor as well as the quiet location, the amazing deck where we spent most of our time, watching all the beautiful types of birds at the feeders and the comfortable accommodations! We enjoyed a delightful hike into the woods on the property and saw lots of wildlife along the way! We definitely plan to stay here again.

Wow! The Mission House!!

My husband and I had a wonderful time staying at the Mission House. The decor, cleanliness, and views are just some of the outstanding features of this home. The covered deck overlooking the trees and bird feeder was our favorite feature. We will definitely book this house again!

This property has everything any renter would need while staying away from their home, and more! Such high quality linens, comfortable and relaxing. Memorial Weekend 2025

This property is top notch. By far the nicest 'Cabin in the Woods' I've ever seen. Clean and comfortable inside and out. A great covered deck for bird watching and enjoying the peaceful countryside. The kitchen was very well furnished with everything you need for meal prep and entertaining. We will be back someday soon.

We stayed here for a week while attending a family wedding in the area and had a lovely time! The house was spotless and well maintained. The bed was one of the most comfortable I've ever slept on in a rental or hotel. The kitchen is really well stocked, and the owners left us a nice bottle of local wine. We loved the location - really quiet and secluded while being close to many things. The trails through the property made for lovely walks on sunny autumn days. And the bird feeder set up off the back porch is great - so many birds to watch over coffee in the morning! Communication with the hosts was also great. We got the check-in instructions well in advanced, and they were super responsive when we had questions. All around a really great find, and we intend to stay here again when visiting family in the area.

Absolutely beautiful

This home is super clean, updated, and very homey. We cooked a Thanksgiving dinner here, and the owners kindly left us a pan for the turkey. It is a fully stocked kitchen. The bathrooms are gorgeous, and the beds are super comfortable. We loved this hidden gem that is tucked up on a hill with lots of privacy. The bird watching is so calming. I highly recommend this place to stay.

Peaceful and relaxing.

We were attending the annual Grape Festival in Nearby Naples NY. The Hostess Danette was so easy to communicate with . The house was provided with everything one could possibly need . The setting is peaceful and serene. The outside porch was perfect for morning coffee and bird watching. If you enjoy the outdoors And a beautiful setting this is the perfect retreat.

Wonderful VRBO

This is a quality built home with lots of character. The back porch was where we started our day, watching the different colored birds at the feeder and drinking our coffee. Though it's a country feel, it's not too far out in the country. The pictures just do not do it justice because it is a beautiful home. Beds were super comfy. Shower water nice and hot. Everything was superb. Host treated us to a bottle of wine from the Finger Lakes. Think I'll stay there again.

Wonderful Home

The property and home was just perfect. We felt spoiled in this beautiful home with all the amenities. The owners seemed to have thought of everything to make our stay so wonderful. The bird feeder system in the yard was so enjoyable. Each morning we were able to enjoy our coffee while watching the local birds utilize an awesome bird feeder system. We all downloaded a bird finder app on our phones and learned all about the birds Ty for your hospitality!! We had a marvelous time in your beautiful home.
