From the owner: "Thank you for your feedback! We absolutely love the opportunity to welcome groups of family and friends to spend time together in our beautiful place."
This place was fantastic to stay at. The pictures don’t do it justice. It was clean and spacious. We had everything we needed right in the house. The owner was very very nice. We highly recommend this place to stay and hope to book it again soon!
The unique property was perfect for our stay as an extended family including grandparents, siblings and kids. Everyone had plenty of space without tripping over each other, the property was private and clean, in a great location, and the host very responsive. The AC in bedrooms and plenty of toys already there for young kids were great added bonuses. They have clearly put a lot of thought into what will make their guests stay more enjoyable. We’d absolutely stay here again.

We're so glad you and your family enjoyed your stay! We would love to host you again.
Nicely appointed property that accommodated our large family with sleeping options. The large porch, many games and the fire pit were a nice plus for the kids. There was one issue that was immediately handled by the property manager. We liked the house even with the hour drive to Bar Harbor.

From the owner: "Thank you for the feedback! We’d be glad to host you again in the future."
We were a group of 10 family and friends, so there were plenty of beds. We found the house clean, well appointed, and stocked with everything we needed. We loved the seclusion of the spot. The roof top deck was a bonus, as we were there during the Perseids meteor shower. Away from the crowds of Acadia, the Schoodic peninsula is beautiful. Highly recommend and hope to come back! The little communication we had/needed with the prop manager was quick and courteous. As former business owner, I love when a product or service is represented honestly and delivered with good service. Thank you Sand Cove House!

We're so glad you had an enjoyable stay! We love star watching on the roof deck too. We'd love to have you stay with us again!
The house very impressed, feel warm and comfortable just like at home, a little bit sủrprised from beginning when we got there in the evening with no light around, we all like it ,especially on the desk on the top of the house.we all enjoyed the beautiful of the sky at night, we saw a lot of stars moved in the sky.
We all have a good time during stay, only thing we dislike it is the hot and cold water control in the shower, we have’s hard time to get good water temperature, sometimes too cold some times it too hot.
Great home with lots of amenities that needs to be dusted well
The property itself was really nice and had everything that we wanted. The deck on the top of the home was just amazing with spectacular views. The only issue was dust. Don’t get me wrong, the sheets and pillows and towels were all very clean and so was the kitchen and bathrooms and bedrooms. However there was dust that gathered on the throws in the sitting area/sofa and other fabric in the common areas. One of the sources of dust was the areas under the beds. Anyways, a little more attention to this will make this home an amazing retreat.

About the host
Hosted by Ted Sterling
Three brothers and their mother share this home, some here in Maine and some further afield. We're all fans of the Downeast Maine coast, and love to host friends and family in this quiet edge of northeast.
Why they chose this property
We've been visiting Downeast Maine for over 30 years and love it. So relaxing and so much to see and do.
What makes this property unique
We love being in the woods and hearing the waves break on the nearby beach. There's privacy while also being close to local attractions.
